Page 107 of One Nightstand With My Ex's Uncle
LUCAS’ POV.
“What!?” I asked, and ended the call. How could pornographic pictures of Derel be spread across the net? Why would Derel even have such pictures in the first place? I didn’t even need to do much on my phone before I saw the news headline. It was trending.
I clicked on the pictures, with my heart pounding in my ears, and couldn’t believe my eyes. It was disgraceful, disgusting, and unbelievable. The pictures were so much, and the faces of all the different girls were blurred. Only his face, and the immoral acts were shown clearly.
“This can’t be.” I said, with a voice that trembled. This was what Tenor meant when she said she heard someone wanting to take down the family through Derel.
Well, they had really done their best. Our image had suffered a really huge hit. The Alphas of other packs were definitely bound to discuss among themselves, against us, and if they happened to get too strong, they could diminish our influence.
“Damn, damn, damn, Derel, damn.” I muttered, scrolling upwards to see the comments.
-Jeez, this is awful!-
-Can’t they manage their family? First, their daughter-in-law might be having an affair with her Uncle-in-law for all we know. Now, this?-
-How old is he to engage in all these disgraceful acts?-
-I know him. He and his sister act like they’re on top of the world. In fact, their whole family is trash.-
-They should murder the boy. He has disgraced his family.-
-Seeing this first thing in the morning, gosh, my eyes! The Grangers can go to hell!-
-Aren’t they embarrassed? If their son is doing this, how do we expect our sons not to follow, thinking this trash is right? The idiot should be sent out from the family!-
-He has stained his family honor. Who knew he was as indecent as this?-
-I once heard he sexually harassed two friends going home at night.-
I had to execute real patience not to throw my phone across the floor, and smash it.
Who were they to upload such rude comments? Everyone made mistakes, and their sons, brothers, and lovers were no better. Some were worse.
Shaking in anger, I pulled on a thick sweater, and left my room. I had to see Derel first.
I met him just coming into the living room.
“Derel, what the hell…?” I began.
“It’s not me! I swear it’s not me in those pictures!”
“Then who? I can clearly recognize you from head to toe. What were you thinking?” It wasn’t my intention to yell at him, but I couldn’t help myself.
“I’ve never even slept with a girl! Why would that be me? How would that be me?” He asked, with terror in his innocent eyes.
“What?” My voice came crashing. “What did you say?”
“I’ve never slept with a girl. That cannot be me!”
“So where did the pictures come from?”
“I don’t know. They were probably photo shopped, and everyone is hating on me! Have you seen the comments? Not even a single person tried to think it could be false news.”
“Don’t read the comments.”
“Well I couldn’t help it, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to help it.” He said, with his eyes glimmering.
“Someone planned this.”
“Obviously. Why me? They could have picked Derella, and we’d shout it out that she’s gay. Matter solved. How do I defend myself against this? The pictures are so disgusting, degrading… Some are even spreading rumors that I harassed people sexually in the past!”
“Okay, you need to calm down.”
“Well, it’s hard to. Damn, it’s even on the news. My face is all over the TV. It’s suffocating, and annoying, and totally so unfair.” He said, wiping away a tear harshly.
“We’ll solve this, okay? Just calm down. We’ll find a way to solve this.”
Just then, a maid arrived at the door.
“Sir. Alpha Raymond says to inform you of an urgent family meeting.” She said politely.
“Damn it.” Derel spat, kicking a shelf.
“Let’s go.” I said to him, and we both left the mansion to Raymond’s mansion.
They were all in Raymond’s large study. Not one of them was seated.
Will paced around slowly, with a hand on his chin, Genevieve tapped her foot on the ground impatiently, Raymond folded his arms, with a deep scowl on his face, and Mira was obviously reading the nasty comments.
They all stopped what they were doing immediately Derel and I came in.
“Where’s John?” I asked.
“He’s out. Come here, you fool!” Genevieve said, angrily, and Derel hid behind me, while I held Genevieve.
“Calm down! It’s not what you think!” I said, trying to hold her back.
“Not what we think!? Can you see the nasty disgrace that boy has brought us?” Mira screamed.
“I just need an explanation!” Raymond shouted.
“Stop shielding him. If he needs a scolding, or a hit, let him receive it!” Will said, harshly.
“Tell me why you’ll keep such pictures, or even have them in the first place after you saw what happened to John with Mandy!” Genevieve screamed.
“You all need to calm down.” I begged.
“Calm down?”
“You must be kidding us!”
“I’ll kill you today, Derel! You’re no son of mine!”
“This has already happened! What’s the use of all this!?” I shouted, and they stopped for a moment, only to resume again.
“What are we going to do?” Mira asked.
“This is preposterous. Everyone is saying horrible things.” Will said.
“This is the opportunity our enemies have been waiting for. They will bring us down.” Raymond said, enraged.
“I hope he’s not planning on going to school, is he?”
“He’s definitely not. There will be no meals for him. He’s grounded!”
They continued to rage on and on, and eventually, I drove to the influencers’ house in rage.
Tray was already there, and they all stood with their hands held in front of them, looking terrified.
“What the hell!?” I bellowed.
“I swear it wasn’t me! I would never do anything like that!” Sandra cried out.
“I don’t even know him!” Mira shouted.
“Oh please, they’re the roommates with the pictures!” Jenny cried. “You shouldn’t drag us into your mess! Come clean.” She shouted.
“Who are you talking to? You’re suspicious, Jenny! You’re always on your own!” Keith shouted.
“That’s because I’m an introvert! What about you? You always scowl whenever talk of the Grangers is brought up.” Jenny retorted.
“That’s quite true!” Tenor piped up.
“What about you? Weren’t you angry at Derel? Because he’s your ex?” Paris shouted, turning on Tenor.
“And you? Nobody knows anything about you, and you’re always having quiet phone calls in the middle of the night!” Tenor shouted.
“Please check them well! I can’t be fired!” Judy shouted.
“You! Weren’t you smiling while reading the comments this morning? It’s obviously you!” Mina shouted, and they all began to rage on each other. Tray bit his lip, and it felt like my head was going to burst.
They were all suspicious.
There was no way… I couldn’t see a single way to find out who among them was lying.
