Page 170 of The Lost Ones
That’s the only thing that I am not loving about being a supernatural now, a Centre to boot which is just bat shit fucking crazy but pretty damn awesome. No, the only thing I absolutely loath about it is that I haven’t gotten some quality one on one time with my boys to do you know, the nasty, bump uglies, the horizontal tango, play hide the sausage, fornicate, have sex, FUCK. I haven’t seen them naked in far to long and it’s making me mad as hell.
“What the fuck Red!?” Nate says incredulously and I glance up to see hischeeks tinged pink like they do only when he gets embarrassed. I look at the others who are all desperately trying to hide their laughter as well as a couple of strangers who are staring at me wide eyed.
“Fuck I said that out loud didn’t I?” I ask and Cole bursts out laughing, gaining the attention of the gorgeous, six foot, dark hair and blue eyed hottie with pointed ears.
Interesting.
“Yep you did.” He grins.
“Whelp it could’ve been worse.” I concede shrugging and the fae guy just smirks.
“How could it have been worse exactly?” He asks, challenge in his eyes and effectively earning Cole’s attention, I see his eyes widen slightly out of the corner of mine.
Wait until Sage gets here, we’ve got some meddling to do.
“Well . . .” I start before my reply is cut off by Kyle as he somehow leans over from atop his horse and plants his lips on mine.
The guys chuckle at my indignation when he pulls back.
“It wasn’t going to be that inappropriate.” I mutter.
In a bid to avoid the laughing hyenas I glance back the way we came and startle pulling my horse around so she’s facing it.
“It’s closing!” I exclaim shutting everyone up, “Why is it closing? We can’t just leave Sage and the guys back there with that thing.” I say worriedly, shuddering when I think of the half dead zombie bull that smelled like a fucking corpse.
“Fuck!” Jett exclaims moving his own horse closer.
Before we can do anything though it closes completely.
There’s silence as we just absorb what just happened. The portal is gone, Sage and the guys were right behind us so where the fuck are they!?
“What happened?” Jett demands turning towards the two older men that have been observing since the very beginning.
“Just before it closed I noticed that the magic changed colours and also directions, if I had to guess I’d say that it got redirected somehow.”
“I do know that it was the intention of Nicole to have you all here not just half of you.” The man next to the first guy says.
“There’s no way of telling where they’ve ended up.” The Fae guy says and I watch with amusement despite the situation as his eyes never leave Cole.
“That’s a great help.” Damon booms and I grin.
“Before we can figure out where Sage and the others are we need to know where we ended up.” Dash adds in logically cutting through the panic.
He’s right of course there’s nothing we can do right now and in order to find them we need to know where we are and we’re going to need help.
“I can help with that.” The older of the two observers says clearing his throat. He has two bright red horns atop of his head a pair of wings, smaller than Kai’s only just visible on his back. “I am Director Warminster and you are at The Blood Moon Academy. One of our Enforcers was already in the process of getting you all transferred here but Nicole asked us to expedite the process.”
A thrill goes through me.
Supernaturals have always fascinated me and apart from what happened with my family I’ve always admired them. The fact I am one now is still surreal to me. Not only that but we’ve been accepted into one of the best training academies. It also means that because of its prestige we should be able to get help to find Sage, not to mention finding her parents which is why we are supposed to be here in the first place.
I just hope it’s the goddess that changed the destination of the portal and not the Creep.
“Since master Tyson has deemed it necessary to be here I can only assume that means he is willing to show you around.” The Director says firmly but in a way that suggests he’s more than used to Tyson’s antics.
“Sure thing Director.” He shrugs.
“I’ll take your horses to the stable and get them sorted.” The other guy says shortly and we look to Jett waiting for his instruction.
