Page 117 of The Lost Ones
“This is why we’re best friends!” She chuckles and I grin.
“No I am certain we don’t need your help bringing it in, thanks!” Jett says again and Becky turns her attention to Levi.
“Don’t touch me.” He suddenly growls.
I’m up and halfway across the room before I’ve acknowledged the need to move. Before I can get to Becky and do something that I’d probably, maybe, ok definitely wouldn’t regret, Levi has somehow sensed my approached and slammed the door in her face. She screeches on the other side but no one pays her any mind as I launch myself for the door and Levi catches me effortlessly dropping his human glamour in a second. My legs wrap around his waist and my arms around his neck as my lips land on his in a searing kiss, our tongues battling for dominance and Levi clearly winning. Eventually our kisses slow and he pulls back raising his eyebrows at me and then groaning as I slowly reach up and run my fingertips over his horns.
“Fuck me, Darling. I wouldn’t suggest doing that in public.” He growls burying his head in my neck and making my hips buck against him.
I chuckle quietly, running my fingers over the front two curved horns lightly one last time making him shudder before I pull back.
“My bad!” I shrug making everyone sat in the seating area laugh as they stuff their faces and Levi roll his eyes at me smirking.
“What exactly what were you planning on doing to Becky, Darling?” He asks me as he carries me back over to the couch and sits down.
“Erm, nothing?” I say accidentally phrasing it like a question and losing the innocence of it.
Erin immediately cracks up laughing and I shoot her a betrayed look.
“Don’t worry, I was right behind you!” She says and I grin.
“Here, you need to eat, Sweetheart. It’s been a long day.” Hunter says handing me a plate piled high with meat, potatoes and veg.
I scoot off of Levi’s lap and he reluctantly lets me go. It’s silent for a while as we all start eating until I notice my guys sharing a loaded look.
“Alright what could possibly be going on now?” I ask and raise my eyebrow at them all as Kyle and the others look on curiously.
“Uh oh!” Damon snickers and Erin smacks his arm.
“When you went down and your magic protected you we couldn’t really do anything but wait, albeit impatiently, for you to wake up.” Hunter starts and then looks to Levi, who is always the one to explain the harder shit to me.
“Nicole got talking and basically your parents haven’t told anyone but Nicole that you are theirs. As far as everyone else is concerned you are a Centre that they found with purely human parents and adopted when you started showing your gifts when you were a baby!” Levi says and the room falls so silent you could hear a fucking feather fall.
“What and they couldn’t be bothered to give me this fucking information themselves!” I explode, “I mean it’s kind of fucking vital information too, isn’t it!?” I ask as I hop up and pace the room, I don’t give anyone the chance to answer as I carry on my rant. “Let’s face it though that sounds about right for the last week or so. Considering they couldn’t even be bothered to answer the damn phone! I mean . . .”
My sentence is abruptly cut off as Kai slams his lips against mine and Jax grips my waist from behind and nips my neck. I’m spun in their arms as they swap positions Jax’s tongue dancing with mine. I feel my magic stir but I’m too distracted to really care what the hell it’s doing.
Our kiss abruptly ends when we suddenly find ourselves blasted with white foamy stuff.
“Dude what the hell?” I ask wiping the stuff out of my eyes and glaring at Levi whose holding the fire extinguisher.
“You were all about to simultaneously set the place on fire and flood it!” Nate chuckles.
I frown but take in the area around us sure enough the carpet and walls are scorched black, yet some dripping with water too. I quickly look over Jax and Kai worried that they are harmed but they both seem fine if a little bit shocked at the chaos we’ve just caused.
“Well that’s going to be a problem!” I grumble and the guys smirk raising their eyebrow at me.
“Sucks to be you dude!” Erin chuckles as she gets up and moves to the kitchen reaching up to get a glass.
“Well I’m not the only one who’s going to have to be careful. Unless you’ve always had a giant tattoo on your back?” I smirk.
“What!”
“Oh yeah fairly certain your men will have them too!” I chuckle as she runs to the bathroom and comes back out looking shocked but stupidly happy.
Her men seem to take this as a hint and suddenly are all topless. They’re all good looking but I can quite honestly say that they do nothing for me. Sure enough though they all have pentagon shaped Soulmate tattoos with mandala patterns on the inside, smack in the middle of their backs between they’re shoulder blades.
“Your’s must be stunning!” I say to Erin.
