We nod and thank him. We definitely need as much sleep as we can get these late nights are starting to kill me.
“Guys, if you’re serious about having the extra training I can see if I can get you transferred to Blood Moon Academy in the Demon realm. I will warn you it’s not only combat and the physical stuff this one focuses on. You will be expected to have extensive knowledge of the laws and protocols of the realms. As well as the traditions and geography. You’ll have in depth lessons on your gifts and we don’t give a shit if you’re Centres or Bonded. If anything you’ll be trained harder. Meaning if you have a water gift you’ll be put in the class with the others that have the same gift. You’ll learn how to fight in teams, fortunately yours are already formed and not until we feel you are absolutely ready and you have passed several exams will you be able to go out on assignments to test those skills. We don’t send inexperienced recruits out.” He pauses no doubt looking at our excited expressions, “It’s hard work. You will have combat, strategy and horseback lessons alongside your normal lessons. If anything like what happened with Rebecca happens then the guilty party is out immediately but it is thoroughly researched. The school is also a hell of a lot bigger than this one.” He studies us.
Kai, Nate, Jax and even Cole are practically bouncing on the balls of their feet with excitement and the rest of us have wide grins on our faces. Now that is what I was expecting. I want to go there to learn to protect the supernatural and human communities properly.
“After hearing all that are you still interested?” Declan asks. The rest of his team have turned their attention to us our reaction to Declan’s description clearly amusing them.
“Fuck yes!” I reply, forgetting to censor myself.
Fortunately they all find it funny.
“Oh yeah, they’re going to fit in fine.” The guy that turned into jaguar chuckles and the two women share a grin.
“How come this place isn’t run like that?” Levi asks Rupert bluntly, “It seems like a hell of a lot better way to do things.”
“It was run that way. Until Annie became the Director and then it all went downhill as she gradually started changing things and introduced the initiation process but no matter how much we brought up how unsuitable she was to run the academy to your fathers, somehow she remained in power.” He explains, “I think she had something on them. We can leave all of that for tomorrow, go and rest now.”
“I’ll get your transfer sorted. I think the sooner we can get you guys to Blood Moon the better.” Declan grins and I can’t help but return it. “Having said that though it’s quite a complicated process so it could take a while.” He warns and we all nod.
Excitement thrums through me at the prospect of going to Blood Moon Academy and actually learning how to be an enforcer. We haven’t really learnt anything here other than how to ride and some vague lessons in realm laws and our gifts. As far as our gifts are concerned we’ve worked out more ourselves than we have been taught. We’ve also learnt more about the realms through the research done by Maverick and Dash.
We all say our goodbyes and make our way back to the castle, filling Kai and Jett in on what happened with the Director’s head whilst they were gone and what it kept saying.
“What the hell is with the Little Queen thing?” Levi says perplexed as we say goodbye to Cole and make our way up to our room.
“I don’t know. Maybe he’s getting Sweetheart confused with Nyx?” Hunter says, “He is an ancient being after all.”
“I’d be inclined to agree except, right at the very beginning, when he first noticed us he called Sage, Daughter of Nyx.” Dash says as we pause outside of our room.
“I don’t want to deal with this right now.” I yawn, “I’ve got a feeling that tomorrow is going to throw us yet another fucking curve ball and I want cuddles and sleep.” I grumble.
“Dude, me too and I swear we need to work on controlling our gifts because I’m missing my men in a very real way.” Erin grins wickedly.
“Fuck, me too.” I agree smirking when my guys heads whip in my direction.
“Night dude.” Erin chuckles and walks into her room next door.
Unfortunately we all go to sleep fairly quickly, Hunter and Levi sharing the bed with me and lulling me into sleep.

I find myself sat at a long medieval style dining table, dressed in a regal looking red gown. I don’t recognise my surroundings at all and when I try to stand I find that I am handcuffed to the plush dark wood chair.
Movement at the other end of the table catches my eye and I swallow thickly as I see the hooded figure from earlier sat there casually eating a bloodied head. Bile rises in my throat and I beg to be woken up.
“What do you want?” I ask, swallowing down my revolution and hoping that my voice comes out as unaffected as I intended.
“Well, Little Queen, I wanted to meet the chosen daughter of that bitch Nyx.” He spits. “Even I cannot go against the fates and unfortunately I cannot end you and your little pets yet.”
His hood completely obscures his face but he tilts his head slightly making me think that he’s observing me closely. I stubbornly stay silent, keeping my face blank, as I try to work the cuffs off of my wrists. Trying to call my magic subtly to see if I can undo them with it. I haven’t practiced enough with it though and it comes rushing to the surface. I barely hold it back from exploding out of me. I have no idea what it will do and even if it will help.
I’ll call on it as a last resort.
“You’ll have to forgive my manners but I do not wish to share my name with you just yet. The fates have said I cannot kill you. They said nothing about playing with you, you do look rather delicious and I am still a smidge hungry.”
Oh hell fucking no is that fucker eating me!
“Kai!!”I scream internally down the Bond and if I’m honest I have no idea why.
