Page 124 of The Lost Ones
Dickhead.
With seemingly no warning or anything even remotely similar, the other guy suddenly pounces on the dick that insulted him. The guy screams in pain as the guy with blonde hair plunges short but obviously sharp claws into him. The rest of the class surrounds them but stands out of range as they start going at it. Breaking desks and drawing blood. Still the instructor sits there and takes it in. Watching the students reaction to it.
“What the fuck is he playing at?” I growl and start to stand up the guys following my lead.
“We can’t just leave them like this they’re already pretty bloody and beat and no one is doing a damn thing!” Damon growls as we push through the ring of idiots to the front.
“I think I can stop them.” Levi mutters and I open my mouth to warn him, “Without letting go of my human glamour.” He adds quietly and we both nod.
“Ok, we’ve got your back.” Damon says and I nod.
“Here goes.” He says.
He takes a deep breath, I watch as his eyes flash red and when he speaks it’s the lower tone of his demon.
“That’s enough!” He says, not raising his voice but firm.
Surprisingly not only do they stop immediately but they drop to their knees their heads dropped too. Everyone starts to follow suit and I nudge Levi.
“Dude might be a good idea to let whatever it is that you’re doing go, before everyone drops and the dick instructor realises things we don’t want him to.” I say urgently.
“What happened? Who the fuck did that?” The instructor bellows and a quick glance through the rapidly dropping to their knees students shows that he’s trying to struggle to his feet. Levi’s command having worked on him.
I glance at Damon grateful that we both seem to be unaffected by the command. Levi pulls back, his eyes returning to normal and everyone stands up looking around to see who gave the command. We’re obviously on the same wave length as we each start doing the same.
The instructor pushes through the crowd, completely ignoring the guys on the floor who are still struggling to stand but because of their injuries not because if Levi’s command.
“Who stopped that fight and issued the command?” He demands red faced and obviously pissed off.
No one steps forward and thankfully no one seems to know. It seems that what Levi just did is definitely not normal. The instructor grows increasingly angry his horns and baby fangs make an appearance and the whole class look at each other warily as he gets angrier. How the hell is this guy qualified to be a damn teacher?
He apparently has no self-control.
Before he can get even one more demand out the bell rings to signal the start of lunch and everyone immediately grabs their stuff and makes a run for it.
This class is going to be a fucking ball. I groan internally but follow the rest of the students out just as quickly. I can’t wait to see Beautiful, damn butterflies make themselves known and I can’t help but roll my eyes at myself.
“Let’s get to lunch, we need to tell everyone about this new development and I don’t know about you but I miss my woman!” Damon says and me and Levi nod whole heartedly agreeing.
Sage
“Do you think they’ll ever get fed up of staring?” Erin asks me.
“Probably not, I’m not even sure what they’re so fascinated with.” I say as we grab a tray of food and glance around the hall trying to find a place to sit.
“It’s because you’re both Centres,” Cole says from behind us a small amount of anxiety in his eyes.
I smile.
“Hey Cole, want to sit with us?” I ask and he smiles gratefully, “Wait how do they know that?”
“Well you were in the Centre class this morning.” He says as we sitdown.
“What the hell was the Director going on about not showing favouritism and keeping us incognito if she knew that we’d be put in a class that clearly says we are Centres?” Erin asks.
“She said that?” Cole frowns and we both nod. “I honestly have no Idea but then again she’s always struck me as not quite right.” His eyes widen as he realises what he’s said.
“Couldn’t agree more!” I mutter and he exhales harshly.
