“Fuck.” I curse as I sprint in the direction of our dorm the rest of them following behind us.

I’m vaguely aware of Domonic’s shocked look and realise that none of us bothered to hold back at first. I don’t really care I want a damn shower.

“We’ll meet you at dinner, we have different classes now.” Erin calls after me as we separate at our dorm rooms and I stick my thumb up vaguely in her direction.

“Thank fuck all the rooms have their own showers.” I say gratefully as I strip on the way down the hall to my room and shower.

Silence greets me and I turn around curiously. My heart pounds and my thighs clench as my eyes land on all five of my gorgeous men with their glamours dropped, staring at my naked body hungrily. Me being me only thought of the shower and getting there as quickly as damn possible, which means now I stand completely butt naked and not embarrassed in the slightest. They make me feel beautiful and wanted. Plus I know I’m not bad to look at. Not a ten but confident enough that I make what I’ve got work. I want nothing more than to be in bed with allfive of them and I take step toward them. Knot appears between us flapping and cawing effectively reminding us all that we have somewhere we need to be.

“Fuck!” I curse loudly and the guys either smirk or raise their eyebrows at me. “I swear if it’s not our hinky Bond or near death experiences stopping me from having you inside me, it’s unpredictable gifts and a freaking familiar acting like a beaver damn!” I finish with a flourish, exasperated as I raise my arms and they fall rapidly slapping against my thighs before I spin on my heel and stomp towards the bathroom.

“Did she just say beaver damn?” Hunter asks incredulously, amusement heavy in his tone.

“As in the woman version of cockblock?” Jax chuckles.

I smirk as I enter my room, not bothering to close the door behind me as I make my way into my bathroom leaving the door ajar so I can hear them.

“I never know what’s going to come out of her mouth next!” Levi chuckles their voices fading slightly as they go to find their own showers.

“Just when I think I couldn’t love her anymore!” One of them chuckles, far enough away that their voices are obscured.

I freeze as I step in the shower, the water washing over me.

Love?

One of them actually loves me?

My heart feels like its beating out of my chest and I dare not fall down the rabbit hole right now. I push the whole thing back into my mind and hammer a few nails in it to keep it there until I get some down time to really pull that comment apart. I can’t help the giant grin that adorns my face though. I start to wash up quickly.

“What the fuck!” I yelp as pain lances my palm.

A thunder of footsteps approach and I chuckle at their overreaction as I stare confused at the deep gash in my hand. Blood dripping from it and mixing with water running down the drain.

My eyes search for what the hell I managed to cut myself on and land on Nyx’s black, bladed swords just as the door crashes open despite it not even being shut properly in the first place.

What the hell are swords that are supposed to be in a spelled and impenetrable display case down in the library doing in my fucking shower and moreover how the fuck did I not notice them in there when I got in? I wasn’t that fucking distracted.

“Are you ok, Beautiful?” Kai asks sounding concerned yet turned on at the same.

“I think so, Nyx . . .” I start and is all I manage to get out before purple, gold and black mist start swirling from the swords. “Guy’s somethings happening!” I say my voice rising an octave in concern.

“It’s alright, Darling. Don’t panic, we can’t actually get any closer to you right now!” Levi says his voice stained although he’s trying to remain calm.

I glance at them out of the corner of my eye, not wanting to take myattention off of the swords and the swirling magic that’s slowly making its way across the shower floor and towards me. I try to back up but there’s nowhere to go. I understand what Levi meant, seeing the purple, gold and black magic has spread quickly between them and me. cutting them off. Even in these uncertain circumstances, I get momentarily distracted by their various states of undress.

My attention snaps back to the magic admitting swords as the magic reaches my waist and quickly engulfs me absorbing into my skin and causing an incredible rush of power that has me throwing my head back as something shifts inside me. I open my eyes just in time to see the swords disappear in the last of the magic before its pulled towards me.

I scream in pain as the insides of both of my forearms burn in agony and I crumple to the floor.

“Sage!!” Jax yells, panic in his beautiful voice.

“Sweetheart?” Hunter questions worriedly.

“Fuck this!” Maverick curses and I hear him yell as he tries to get to me.

The pain in my arms increases in intensity making me cry out again as tears leak from my eyes. In response Kai and Levi roar, their demons making their dislike of my pain more than obvious. Just when I think I’m going to pass out from the pain It suddenly stops and I let a shuddering breath free. Arms wrap around me as Levi pulls me onto his lap, the others getting to me just a beat behind him.

“What happened?” Hunter asks, a growl to his voice and his jaw clenched. It’s obvious his wolf wants out.
