Page 114 of The Lost Ones
Erin looks the same but not. Her short auburn hair has grown ever so slightly and is now tipped in bright gold, making it look absolutely beautiful.
“Have the ends of my hair changed colour too?” I ask out loud unnecessarily as I reach back for my ponytail and bring it forward. “What the fuck?”
“All of your hair has changed colour, Beautiful.” Kai explains and I turn wide eyes to him.
“Is that normal?” I ask anyone who will give me a straight answer. I don’t remember any of the other students having different coloured hair but then again I wasn’t really focusing on their looks more their hostel natures.
Still I would’ve thought that I would’ve noticed something.
“No it’s not!” The Director answers bluntly, her face pale and her hands shaking slightly. Her gaze dips to Erin. “I-I-I’ll just go and make sure that someone prepares the room next to yours for them.” She stutters gesturing in the vague direction of Erin. I raise my eyebrow at Levi who just shrugs, “I’ll have some food sent up to your rooms as well and get their classes changed effective tomorrow. You all need your rest.” She finishes, turning on her heel and walking away stiffly.
“That seemed just slightly suspicious at the most and damn right odd at the least!” I comment still staring after her retreating form.
“Well I can’t say I don’t agree. I’ll follow and keep an eye on her. I’ll also make sure she knows that she can’t tell the entire student population about this development. You’re going to stand out enough. Fortunately the human and supernatural sides of the academy are kept fairly separate at first, so no one should recognise Erin and her team.” Nicole reassures me before the worry could really take root.
This changes everything but the first thing I want to do is to make sure that Erin and her guys don’t hate me for turning them into something that they never asked to be.
“It will be ok, Little Star.” Jax says softly, his musical voice soothing as he wraps an arm around me and I lay my head on his chest.
“Get back to the school as quickly as possible you do need rest. The Director will still expect you to go to classes tomorrow.” Nicole calls over her shoulder as her and her men follow quickly after the Director.
It’s actually really reassuring to have an adult on our side at the moment. I thought it was going to be my parents but they’re missing in action.
“What the fuck happened?” Erin groans and crouch down next to her grinning.
“Erin!?”
Me and my guys step back as hers wake and are suddenly right next to her, Jett pulls her into his lap.
“Whoa what the fuck, how did we get over here so quickly?” Jett mutters, his once white blond hair is now completely white with light green tips, his eyes are a striking silvery green and more silver than green, his pointed ears that look like Maverick’s but just a tiny bit smaller.
“When did you dye your hair?” Damon asks frowning at Erin and looking all perplexed, his voice still as loud as ever.
“Dude look at your fucking horns!” Dash points out his voice loud for him as he stares at Damon who not only has horns but giant leathery wings as well as huge fangs protruding from his mouth.
“Dude look at your eyes and fangs, you look like a vampire!” Damon retorts loudly.
“Are those freaking Griffins!” Erin exclaims last and then turns to look at me, “please tell me you know what the fuck is going on. Why do I feel like I recognise the griffins?”
“Erm, ok so I may have accidentally turned you all into supernaturals,” I wince, “please don’t hate me!” I plead as they all stare at me in shock and then properly start to study each other.
As if to really drive my point home the griffins rear up and are swallowed in yellow magic. When it dissipates Nate and Kyle stand in the places of the griffins looking shocked as shit.
“Wait how come you two got to be two different things but we ended up being the same?” Nate grumbles.
“Oh yeah because that’s what we should be focusing on right now!” Jett says still sat behind Erin.
She turns to look at him and gasps.
“Holy fuck look at you. You’re fae!” She exclaims.
“I’m so sorry!” I say again. Praying that they don’t hate me.
“You’re kidding right? This is awesome!” Damon replies pulling a face and trying to flap his wings. “You guyslook fucking awesome!” He adds finally turning his attention to my guys.
“I’m not going to say I’m not shocked because holy fucking shit I am but I’m not mad and it is pretty cool!” Erin tells me holding her arms open and I rush to her. “You’re hair looks so good!” She comments, “And your eyes are stunning!”
“My eyes have changed too?” I ask shocked and she opens her mouth, “You know what, I’ll find out later I’m done for now. Your’s have changed as well.” I add.
