“Look who is here,” Dave grins slyly. “Chunky Bunky and Daddy.”
Finn laughs so hard, I’m scared he might have a heart attack. Liam seems to be speechless for a moment.
“Just to clarify,” I frown. “Which of our men is Chunky Bunky?”
“Yours,” Dave states.
“Thank goddess,” I mutter in relief.
Ella narrows her eyes into a glare, looking like the grim reaper in person. “I swear, Dave, if you ever throw the word daddy at me again concerning Dante, I’ll jump through the screen and strangle your pretty little neck!”
“Yeah, yeah.” Dave ignores her. “So, Els, did you already get a chunk of meat from your sugar daddy?”
Now even Celine has to laugh while Dante looks a bit confused and more than a little horrified. Poor man, he doesn’t know Dave yet.
“Would you shut up, Dave?” Ella hisses.
“What!? I just want to know if you got laid. Just tell me!”
Ella looks around desperately while Dante sighs. “I don’t know how this is anyone’s business, but-”
“You heard the human kid,” Liam interrupts him, seemingly unfazed. “He wants to know if you’ve mated?”
Ella groans while I can’t help but grin at Liam. He is clearly enjoying this a bit too much.
Finn grins too. “Listen to your Alpha’s orders, Beta Dante.”
“Hey, at least Annie and I have found our mates,” Ella defends herself and her mate. “What about you and Celine?”
“Touché,” he grins.
“I think I caught some sort of scent once,” Celine muses, to our surprise.
“WHAT!?” I blurt out. “And you’re only telling us now?”
She shrugs, looking a bit flustered. “Well, with all the drama going on, there was no time to think about finding my mate.”
“At Silverlake?” Liam asks, interested.
“I think so… but there were so many wolves from different packs there,” she muses.
“We will find him,” I promise.
“Don’t get your hopes up too high,” she chuckles.
“We will see,” Finn says with an encouraging smile. “It’s worth a shot.”
We chat a bit longer before bidding our goodbyes. Not before setting a date for our next meeting though.
Afterwards, Ella goes to train. Liam is training her hard, but she doesn’t complain. She is eager to show everyone what she is capable of. She is my bodyguard now and owns the Beta rank, which means she has to train to elevate her skills, especially since she has never gone through formal training before. She is self-taught. For now, Liam and Aryanna are her main trainers, but she’ll soon need to join the elite warrior group.
As for me, I’m also training again. I go for muscle training with Ari three times a week now that Aurelia isn’t here to train me further. My actual battle training is still with Elden though. He visits twice a week to train me, and I’m so thankful for his help. Once things settle down, I’ll start going to Silverlake pack for my sessions with him. He has enough stress already. Originally, I offered to skip my training session with him… I could also work with Dante or Jun. But he insisted, and part of me thinks he really enjoys these moments. We talk about our families, and he shares a lot with me. I think he has a soft spot for me, but I feel the same for him. Elden and Flora are like a second set of parents to me. The Moon Goddess has truly blessed me.
For today though, I have a particularly important plan to work on. I’m giddy to get started on it. I’m meeting with Ari and Jun, as Ella is training. One of them is always with me.
The three of us stand in front of the packhouse, scanning it with a scrutinizing gaze.
Red Claw’s packhouse is an actual castle, partly built into the mountain. The setting is great, so is the idea of having the packhouse within the mountain. But the building itself is black… and scary… Why would anyone think that was a good idea? What kind of major inferiority complex did Alpha Marcus have? Was he trying to compensate for a tiny penis by building such a ridiculous building?
