Page 168 of An Omega for the Lycan Prince
Find their Alpha, capture him alive, and take him to his pack to have their members judge him.
I’m amazed. That’s brilliant. Sure, Liam could go and serve justice himself, take revenge for the attack on me, his mother, and himself, but he decides to see the bigger picture.Do you know where he is?
He snickers. They thought I was out of it the whole time they kept me captive. But I was always there, just saving my strength. I heard a lot. There is a cave close by hidden in the mountains, hard to find unless you know it’s there. He starts pacing forward, leading us through a small narrow path.It was my own error not to see the trap Philipp was leading me into. But they made an even bigger mistake by underestimating their enemy.
*LIAM*
By now, I should probably let Annalise get down and shift into her wolf, but I enjoy it a little bit too much to have her ride around on me like the queen she is. I’m not sure if she even understands how freaking amazing and brave she is. I could smell her fear, but she pushed it back and showed her strength. She did the unthinkable… She was able to reach out to my drugged mind and suppressed strength and free it, uncovering layer after layer until she reached me. I don’t know how she did it. I just know she is incredible. She has Beta blood running through her veins, no matter her rank. She has gifts. It doesn’t matter that she ranked Omega. Either the test didn’t work properly, or her gifts were so well hidden to protect her that her low rank was some sort of protection too. She was able to live her life in safety that way.
Marcus’ scent reaches my nostrils and we aren’t even halfway to the underground caves. What a pathetic excuse for an Alpha. Rapist, murderer, scumbag, and on top of that, a coward. He sends his men into a battle, including those who can’t even fight, while hiding away himself. Today we will finally put an end to this.
When I was in the dungeon, I could sense the fear and the horror of the poor pack members there. Marcus didn’t allow most women to fight, so the dungeon was full of children and she-wolves at the mercy of those sick bastards. I hope they will recover from the cruelties that happened to them. I hope someone will lead them to a better future and protect them from now on. Like they fucking deserve.
I can’t wait to rip his head off his shoulders.
Aryanna walks closely just in front of me. I bet her thoughts go in a similar direction. She takes out the first guard we pass, not even giving him any warning. She has to be raging. I have never seen her kill so mercilessly before today.
Fuck.Dante links me.What the heck happened to you and Ari that caused you to be so pissed off, Alpha?
The kid who is with us,I inquire without answering his question. What happened to him?
Do you mean Jun? Marcus raped his sister, his only family. She killed herself afterwards.
I can feel Annalise’s fingers brushing through my fur like she wants to calm me down. I concentrate on her scent for a while, on the feel of her legs and fingers against my Lycan’s fur and skin. It helps.
Red Claw is located right below a major cliff. It is so beautiful here. A pity that this pack had to face so much cruelty. Otherwise, it would be a stunning place. The location made it perfectly secluded from rogue attacks, giving way to some hidden passages for the pack members to hide in case of an emergency…
Well, today, the Alpha himself hides there.
He sent his people to their deaths while he stayed hidden away.Annalise mutters. You were right. Capturing you was a suicide mission. He never intended on killing you.
Good thing you caught on and understood what I was trying to tell you.
It was all thanks to you,she praises me. I’m not sure if I deserve it. After all, I almost ruined everything by walking into Philipp’s trap.
I slowly follow Marcus’ scent into a cave and then further down a tunnel. None of the others makes any noise, walking silently next to me. That young guy, Jun, seems to be pretty talented too. Before we reach Marcus, I link Annalise with instructions.
She nods and turns slightly on my back. “Jun,” she whispers towards the gray wolf. “We want to capture Marcus alive. We want to bring him in front of your pack and give everyone the closure they deserve. Do you think you can handle it? Stay behind if you are too angry and want to rip his head off.”
He waits for a moment, and then, to show his agreement, he bares his neck at me, submitting to my command.
I can sense Marcus and around 14 to 20 of his warriors in the cave around the corner. They are no match for me, Dante, and Aryanna. Numbers don’t mean anything if you don’t have the skill. He is a weak-ass Alpha, and his followers are probably cowards like he is.
Annalise digs her fingers further into my fur, holding on to it. I don’t need any more time or instructions. They all know what to do. We take off fast, rushing around the corner and racing forward. The men scramble to their feet. There are yells and screams. Marcus is amidst them, yelling commands. “How did he escape!? Kill him!! Kill all of them!”
I can hear the panic in his voice. Pathetic. It spurs Fenris on further. I have never felt him so strong before, angry but also calm and composed. It feels like I have finally united with him fully.
“How did he escape?” one of the men yells.
“He is so big!”
“He is not alone!”
“Fuck, it’s Noshimuri that fucker, should have killed him off too.”
“Attack them, kill them!”
They shift, and Dante rips through three guys to the left, not even batting an eye at their screams. Aryanna and Jun take the right side while I set my eyes on Marcus. He knows he can’t escape anymore, so he lunges forward in his wolf form, trying to go for Annalise. I turn around swiftly, smashing against him with my side. I grin inwardly when I see how Annalise kicks against his head with her right foot.
