“He left you behind because you are loyal to him before you are loyal to the pack and Alpha Elden,” I point out.
“And he linked you, giving you more information than the others,” Ella concludes, surprising me with how easily she can look through me. She always knew me well.
“He called it a suicide mission.” I look at both of them in worry. “Marcus wants us to attack and wipe out the whole pack.”
Dante grabs my arm, his eyes widening. “Liam wants to strike from within the pack.”
“But he needs us to do so,” I say. I turn to Ella. “El, do you know where the prisons and dungeons are?”
“Of course,” she nods. “Though I don’t know anything about the inside of them.”
“They are probably all locked in there, and we know Marcus hit everyone with wolfsbane,” I frown. “We need to get an antidote to them to get their strength back.”
Dante nods. “You remember Claire?”
“Of course, she is like an aunt to Liam. She and her mate are maintaining the garden,” I muse.
“She also made the antidote when Nox and Aurelia were so heavily struck with wolfsbane and couldn’t heal. I am going to talk to her immediately! I think she worked on the formula a bit, and her antidote should work even better now.”
I turn to look at my best friend. “Ella, I need your help. We are going to call Celine.” When Liam told me to gather our allies, he wasn’t only talking about Silverlake’s allies, he was talking about mine too.
I know Celine and her father entered an alliance with Silverlake, but I trust Celine. She is my friend, and I’m sure she’ll be ready to help as much as possible.
Ella nods immediately. “Sure, but what for?”
“Celine has an informant in Red Claw.” I take a deep breath. “I think it’s time we meet him!”
Before Ella can answer, we get interrupted by some ruckus happening outside. I notice some of our wolves dragging Philipp along. Vincent is leading him towards Elden. Philipp tries to get out of his grip, but he doesn’t put up much of a fight. It makes me notice again how strong these Lycan wolves truly are – Philipp is an Alpha, and he is definitely not weak, but Vincent – a Lycan with Beta rank – overpowers him easily. That’s probably what Elden meant when he said that Liam, as an Alpha, would have been able to escape the trap with ease.
“How…” Philipp breathes out, looking at Elden fearfully. “How did you know so fast?”
“Liam contacted me,” Elden hisses. “You never underestimate a Lycan.” He turns to face his men. “We are attacking this evening when it’s dark,” he commands. “Vincent, prepare our warriors. Calvin, call our allies. Jace’s pack will fight with us. Overthrowing Red Claw is not the problem, but we need to ensure the small surrounding packs won’t get wiped out, especially those that went out of their way to protect refugees, such as Hollow Moon. Thanks to Philipp, Marcus now knows which packs were in our meeting. That’s what we need the other allies for. Make sure you tell them I am not playing. Tell them I will definitely remember if someone gives you a lackluster reason not to help.”
Ella and I exchange a glance. “They will attack this evening?” Ella mutters in horror.
“We don’t have much time left.”

Chapter 47 An Omega ready to strike!
*ANNALISE*
I’msorelievedIhave my own allies to count on. I don’t know what I did to deserve it, but Celine seems to hold me in high regard, and she is so kind and helpful. I trust her, she has never let me down, so I tell her what Ella, Dante and I came up with.
Celine tells us that as a member of Moon Blood, she has to fight alongside Alpha Cedric tonight, who is an official ally of Elden and Silverlake; but she promises me she will instantly call her informant and try to help us as much as she can without going against her father’s decisions directly.
I didn’t expect her to appear just one and a half hours later, together with two men. She called me beforehand so that I could inform Elden about the unannounced guests. I swallow a bit, feeling nervous about what I did behind his back, but I hope he will understand once I tell him my reasons.
Elden is only half as surprised as I expected him to be, to my utmost astonishment. I thought he would be much more shocked than he is. After I tell him that Celine and two informants are on their way to Silverlake, he looks at me thoughtfully. “Annie, it seems like you have your own agenda going.”
“I do,” I say honestly. “My agenda is Liam.”
“So, you will finally tell me what he said to you?”
I blink. “You knew there was more to it?”
He sighs, rubbing his temples. “I have a gift too, you know?”
