I stop all movement, though, when the door opens, and I hang my head down, pretending to be asleep still. One of the guys approaches me. He stinks of alcohol. Gross. I fight the urge to gag at his disgusting scent. He grabs me by my hair roughly, making me yelp.
“Finally awake,” he sneers, brushing with his dirty finger over my cheek.
I spit at him, which earns me a backhanded slap across the face. My chair and me drop to the ground. For a moment, my breath gets stuck in my throat. I cough, trying not to think of the pain and instead focus on what I can do to free myself. Being knocked to the ground has broken the wood of the chair and loosened the ties.
“Let’s take turns. I want to have my fun too,” another one says, making my blood freeze. His voice is firmer, his body taller and bulkier. Although his aura can’t intimidate me, I can feel his presence. He is an Alpha wolf! Shit! What am I going to do now?
“A feisty little thing,” one of the men snickers. “It will be fun to tame her.”
Only Liam is allowed to call me feisty, I think with disgust, and that’s only because he says it with so much endearment. The first guy bends down to me again, a sly grin curling his lips. It makes my insides churn in horror, my mind suddenly working on its own. When he starts unbuttoning my shirt, I realize I have literally nothing to lose right now. With newfound resolve, I tug my hands free, let my claws appear, and rip into his throat.
He yells in shock, gurgling slightly, before dropping back.
“Why don’t the drugs work anymore?” one of the other guys yells.
“Lauren,” the Alpha wolf hisses. “You said you put wolfsbane in the syringe!”
Lauren appears at the door, that stupid fool. How low can you stoop?
Yes,Leah hisses. We won't die! I will make sure we make it out of this just to spite her. And then I'll tell Fenris in detail what she said and did so that my favorite wolf can kick her from here to the moon!
Feeling Leah's sudden surge of anger helps me instantly. My senses are sharper again, almost like the wolfsbane has no effect on me anymore. This is my only advantage.
“I did,” Lauren hurries to explain. She looks at me but draws her gaze away immediately.
“Then you didn’t use enough of it, you stupid bitch. The deal was, you help me get me the young Alpha’s mate, and I get rid of her for you.” The Alpha wolf approaches her, pushes her back against the wall, and slaps her hard.
The sound echoes through the room, making me feel slightly confused. What the heck is happening? So, these guys aren’t working for Lauren? I’m sure she held some power over them when I heard her talking the first time. But these wolves here… they seem to have their own interests…
Lauren pushes the guy’s arm, glaring at him. “Don’t act like you didn’t get some fun out of being with me.”
“You were a decent fuck,” he huffs. “But you didn’t even manage to do the one thing you were supposed to do! Drug the bitch properly!”
I can’t believe it. She hooked up with that asshole, and then allowed herself to get used by him for his agenda just to get back at me.
This is insane.
But I don’t have the time to wonder too much because the piece of Alpha trash comes walking towards me now.
Alpha trash, I like that name,Leah growls in my mind. She and I might not be warriors, but we are pissed now and scared.
Alpha trash pulls me into a sitting position again before slapping me. I expected it, but it still hurts like shit. Then he punches me in my stomach. And again. He slaps the other side of my face before he delivers another punch to my stomach.
And repeat.
I whimper in pain, trying not to make any other sounds. The adrenaline works in my favor; that and knowing Liam is on his way. This little piece of hope is all I have, but it’s enough for me not to give up.
I spit out blood, gasping when he grabs me by my hair and pulls my head back.
“Spread your legs, Omega bitch,” he hisses while ripping my shirt off with his free hand. He uses his whole Alpha authority on me. “Do it!”
Even while drugged, his Alpha status does not affect me. I look at him directly in his eyes.
“What is wrong with that bitch?” the other guy mutters, sounding a little wary now.
Alpha trash turns to face Lauren again. “You didn’t tell us she has some sort of protection or freaking gift!”
“I didn’t know,” Lauren huffs. “I grew up with her. She was nothing but weak. No talents, no gifts, not even pretty.”
