Story: Scarred Assassin
What was supposed to happen this week? I didn’t have an idea of anything that was supposed to happen, so I shook my head in response.
“We are supposed to tell our families about us.”
“Ah yeah.”
He frowned. “Ah yeah? Are you nervous? Baby, they would be happy for us, you know they would. They don’t expect us to be friends all these years and not fall in love.”
“Shut up, there are people who stay so many years as friends without falling in love. You’re just greedy and have no self control.”
He snickered. “As if you don’t love me too.” I did. I loved him so much I couldn’t see a life without him.
When he proposed to me, I felt like everything became much brighter in my life. We didn’t tell anyone because we weren’t sure about it, but we were ready to tell the whole world about us.
“Plus,” he started, getting off the bed. “Raphael said he would tell if we didn’t.”
Raphael had recently caught on about our relationship. I didn’t know how he knew and I had accused Jayden of telling him since they were so close, but he swore he didn’t tell him and I believed him. Like he’d ever lie to me.
“He better keep his mouth shut and let us tell our thing ourselves.”
“So does that mean we will tell them?”
“Yeah we will,” I accepted and he wrapped me in his arms.
“I love you.”
I smiled, my cheeks turning crimson. He had said it so many times, but I still blushed whenever I heard it.
“I love you too.”
“Go shower, so I can drop you off for your exam, or…” He wiggled his eyebrows and I squinted my eyes at him. He better not say it. “Should we shower together?” And he said it.
“If we do that, I won’t be able to go to class.” He shrugged at my response and I shook my head to decline the very tempting offer.
I needed my legs for my exams.
I went into the shower and after taking my bath, I dried my body and wore a baby pink bodycon with a white shrug. Gathering my hair in my hands, I clipped it with a white flower hair clip.
I got out of the bathroom and Jayden trailed his eyes up and down my body, wetting his lips. My stomach turned in a good way at his simple movement. “Really? You even took your clothes to the bathroom? People will think I’m bad at this point.”
“I mean you are,” I taunted, shrugging. “Now, how do I look?” I said, twirling for him.
“You beat me to it. I’ve told you so many times not to ask me how you look. You’re my girlfriend, I should always notice you and damn…” He dramatically covered his mouth and spun me around again. “How are you mine?”
“Aren’t you so lucky?”
“I know, right?” I giggled as he played along with me. He’s so sweet.
After promising him again that we would tell our parents about us, he dropped me off at my school and promised to come pick me up. He didn’t have to promise, he had never not come to pick me up, even when he had his own class.

It was weekend and time to tell our parents, and I was terrified. I was so nervous, I guessed it was normal or maybe it wasn’t and I was just overthinking.
Raphael called his brothers, his dad, and my parents together so we could tell them all at once. He was so happy when he heard we were dating and told me secrets of how Jayden had been crushing on me since we were young. So the idiot did like me back all that time.
Actually I was the idiot, I should have caught on. Always calling himself my bad boy, ruffling my hair, holding me at every chance, and even giving me a special nickname. He was so into me.
We got down from the car and I sighed, which caused him to look at me. He held my hand and when I turned to him, he gently squeezed my hand. “This is our family, Flower, they only want the best for us.”
