Story: Scarred Assassin
These guards were from the countryside, no doubt.
One of them walked toward me with a smirk. He was confident that he could kill me with his hands.
He could… But he wouldn’t.
He tried to give me a punch, but I dodged. With a swing of my arm, I cut his thigh, causing a deep wound on it. He grabbed his thigh and yelped, alarming the other two who strode toward me.
This should be fun.
One of them flew his fist toward me, but I turned and stabbed his back. He hissed in pain and tried to punch me again, I caught his arm and hit it on my knee, causing it to crack. He kneeled and I took his face in my hand, threw him a flying kiss and swung my knife into the crook of his neck.
The last one picked up a gun and shot at me, the bullet brushing past my right arm. I kneed him in his groin, sent my fist to his face, dragged the gun from him and with a wink, I blew his head.
I turned back to the guard with the wounded thighs, the only one still breathing. “Where is Mrs Grey?”
“You stupid fucking bitch, I’ll fucking kill you.” He spat and I laughed.
“No, you won’t. Now, where is Mrs Grey?”
“You won’t make it far, the camera already caught your stupid ugly…” I blew his head.
He was too harsh on me. Poor me.
I walked back to my cap, picked it up, arranged my hair, and put it back on. I matched up the stairs, and started opening the doors one after the other until I got to one that I couldn’t open. I snickered.
They actually locked the wife of a governor in her room to fight me. I’d have to talk to her about her guards, they were too incompetent.
Blowing a gun through the lock, I opened it and found her shaking on the floor. “Hello ma’am.” She flinched at the sound of my voice.
“Please don’t kill me, please don’t kill me. I’ll give you whatever you want, anything at all.”
“Who employed your guards? They were so incompetent. Get better guards next time.” Her head shot up at the ‘next time.’ “Oh did I say next time? My bad.” I chuckled teasingly.
Sweat broke from her body as she took me in. “You… you are Alex?” I widened my eyes in shock. I was curious to know how she knew, because everyone thought I was either a man or a gang.
“You know me? Oh my gosh, I didn’t know I was so popular.” I dramatically covered my mouth. “Tell me, how did you know?”
She pointed at my pocket. I glanced down and saw a sneak peek of my note. I huffed. I almost thought she was smart.
“You are here to kill me, aren’t you?” Okay, she was smart.
I laughed. “Of course. You already know my name, which means you already know who I kill and you already know who you are. Now answer this, don’t you deserve to die?”
“I’m sorry,” she begged as her body shook.
“Well don’t be sorry. You are the wife of a governor and you traffic underage girls to work for you at brothels. It’s because of lawmakers like you that rapists don’t get killed. Don’t worry though, because I’m here, the karma they deserve.” She flinched as I leapt to my feet.
“I have killed a total of fifteen disgusting people like you, but who’s counting, right?” I bent to her level and continued, “you are a disgrace to the female population and I’ll spend the rest of my life clearing as many of your kind as I can.”
“Oh and not to forget, your husband’s mistress also paid me to kill you. She needs properties, you know.” I shrugged.
“Now get ready to die.” I snapped, and she kneeled to start begging again. I rolled my eyes at her and brought forward my blood coated knife. I placed it on her neck and she inhaled sharply, as she shut her eyes and murmured prayers. Hypocrite.
“Blame your lifestyle, not me. Give my greetings to the man upstairs, I’ll join you soon.” With that, I swiped my blade through her throat, and she choked, looking up at me. I raised the bloody knife to my nose and sniffed it. I shut my eyes and inhaled the scent deeply.
This was a turn on.
I breathed a laugh as she fell on her side with her neck open, blood still spewing from the wound.
