Epilogue

Liam

Two Years Later

“ U gh.” I let out a growl of frustration. “I hate ties.”

Cece came over and took control, crafting the perfect Windsor knot while smiling at me. “I know. But you look so super hot in that suit.”

“Thanks. I can’t believe how gorgeous you look right now.”

“Well, believe it, kid, because we need to leave in twenty minutes.”

“Okay, okay. Do you need a zip?”

“Yeah, I do.”

I gently tugged the zipper up Cece’s charcoal-gray bridesmaid dress. Her hair was up in some kind of bun, and soft curls escaped around her face and neck. She looked beautiful, as always, but today she just glowed.

When she turned around, I pulled her close and rested my hand on her stomach. “Are you going to behave, Maverick?” I asked, rubbing her belly and winking at her. “Be a good boy and don’t give mom too much trouble, okay?”

Cece smiled at me. “ She will be fine. But I just have to make sure I find a bathroom before the ceremony starts.”

Cece was seven months pregnant with our little surprise.

We did not know the sex, but I was convinced it was a boy and had already named him Maverick because he was so stealthy.

We didn’t know she was pregnant until two months into the pregnancy.

Cece thought I was crazy and was convinced it was a girl.

Our families had set up a very complex betting pool, and we were getting closer and closer to the big day.

My girl was usually right about most things, so I was really hoping for a win this time.

Pregnancy agreed with Cece. Although it was exhausting, she had never looked so beautiful.

Her hair was fuller and curlier than ever and her skin glowed.

Her body was ripe and lush, and she carried this baby with confidence.

It was such a turn-on. We hadn’t planned on kids so soon, but everything just fell into place.

I was so excited for the next generation of Quinns to start running wild in Havenport.

Cece’s mom decided to downsize and sold us the family house on Main Street.

Although it was enormous, we were up for the challenge of filling it with love, family, and memories.

We had rehabbed the carriage house in the back, and Cece was using it as an office for her marketing firm.

Her business was growing every day, and she had become a bit of a local power player.

Watching her build her business and gain confidence had been such a privilege.

It was hard to even remember the timid woman who came in looking for a job a few years ago.

We had a lot of work to do on the rest of the house, but we loved making it our own.

I knew it made Cece so happy that our kids would grow up in the same loving home she did, filled with happy memories of her dad.

She still did marketing work for me at the brewery, but we had to hire a few full-time people to cover events and bartending and social media.

My brothers and I had finally launched our distribution company, Quinn Beverages, and we had a few dozen clients so far—mostly other microbreweries, wineries, and even some non-alcoholic options as well.

We had built a solid independent network in New England and were getting ready to expand into New York and New Jersey next.

Being in business with my brothers was not always easy, but each of us brought vastly different skills and personalities to the table.

Turns out, the three of us actually made a pretty good team.

Since my attention had been diverted, Trent has become the manager of the Havenport brewery and is doing an incredible job.

We had such a successful year we were considering opening a second location.

I wrapped my arms around her, resting my hands on her hips. I kissed the sweet spot where her neck met her collarbone, the spot that always drove her insane. I could feel her knees buckle slightly as I held onto her. She sighed. “We don’t have time.”

I continued kissing up her graceful neck. “But Cece, you look so incredible. And,” I said, squeezing her ass, “you feel so incredible.”

She pivoted and kissed me deeply, wrapping her arms around my neck. “Liam, as much as I want to get out of this dress and my pregnancy Spanx already, we cannot be late for your brother’s wedding.” She kissed me on the nose and went back to getting ready.

I took a step back, admiring her. “Fair enough. I still can’t believe this is actually happening. My brother is getting married. I never thought I’d see the day.”

“Believe it. It’s happening. And it’s a miracle.”

“It all happened so fast, but when it’s right, it’s right.”

“Yes. They are really perfect for each other.” She grabbed her tiny purse and took my arm.

I laughed. “What are the odds of finding your soulmate right here in Havenport?”

She wrapped her arms around me again. “I’d say they are pretty good, Mr. Quinn.”

I kissed her deeply. “Yes, Mrs. Quinn, they are.”
