Paris was excited to explain everything to Denver. She had only been at the pack for a few days, and she was already looking so attractive.
Due to the plan of having her reject their witchy and vampire side, Denver had been warned not to mark and mate with her before then. If not, he would have done some naughty things to her.
"We will need to blend three deadly flowers: Angel’s Trumpet, Morning Glory, and deadly nightshade. If I can get them, I can make a serum out of them to use to destroy the monsters completely."
At the Evergreen Pack, nothing was impossible, and Denver was glad to have his mate possess all this knowledge.
"I will send the warriors to get them, and you can have the serum by the time we return from the coronation."
Paris nodded and put her goggles back on. Some of these monsters were deadly, so she had to protect her most vital parts from any fluid that came out of them to avoid getting infected by anything strange.
When she wasn’t researching the monsters in Denver’s room, she would be with London, Alice, Zoe, or Valerie.
With Valerie, she learned about the pack administration and started jogging for short intervals. Paris had her hands full, and all her time seemed to be more occupied than she ever thought or expected.
Denver, Grant, and Monterrey went for the coronation with Paris, Zoe, and London.
Paris was amazed to meet another family who loved her so much.
Luna Ashley and Fernanda were just like Luna Valerie when it came to expressing love.
"Oh my, I’m glad to finally meet the woman who tamed my nephew," Ashley exclaimed. Paris was confused as Fernanda added her voice.
"You have no idea how cold and mean he could be. He almost killed his cousin for being mated to Moonlight in his stead," they revealed. Paris laughed as she tried to imagine it, but it wasn’t funny at all.
Being at the pack for exactly a week, she was already getting over her timidity.
"He is my hero. He came in at the right time to save my sister and me. Then he showered me with so much love."
Paris accepted the love that was once too hot for her. It was real.
"Well, you ladies are looking stunning and should go help Moonlight with her hairpins," Ashley said.
Alice and Burke arrived later, as did Raven and Ludwig, and Adria and Troy.
However, Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie had to stay back to take care of the pack, as they were also organizing Denver’s coronation.
When the event began, Paris realized there were bitches in some of the packs, just as there were in Vegas.
"I thought Denver’s mate would be prettier than his mother, considering she’s going to be Luna," one of the Alpha’s daughters from one of the packs said, obviously envious of Paris’ position beside Denver and how he doted on her.
They all recognized that she was even wearing Denver’s hair, showing how deeply he loved and cared for her.
Family friends from every side, including Adira, Raven, and Ray’s children, who were all upset.
However, they could only stare at Denver, wondering how he was still calm. Perhaps it was because Paris was not moved by the comments.
London could also not be upset, given the love Paris received from her new family and friends.
"Well, I was thinking the same. If I were Denver, I’d reject her and choose a random girl. No wonder he did not want to leave Moonlight and was upset that she was mated to Alpha Cairo."
Moonlight was just walking in with all glamor when the majority of the people present burst into laughter, making her self-conscious.
However, when she soon realized the reason for the laughter, she could not help but join in the laughter with Cairo.
The two girls who spoke evil about Paris had their lips at the back of their heads.
It was so funny to see their lips moving behind their heads through their hair with no words coming out. Their faces derailed from their mouths were nothing beautiful to behold.
"Serves you right. I hope we can all see who the ugly ones are now," Zoe said, and everyone laughed.
It was obvious to the pack-borns that Denver was behind it because he had strange powers.
Paris and London were confused, not knowing how it happened, but it made them happy that no negative words would pollute the beautiful environment anymore.
The ceremony continued unabated, and afterwards, the parents of the girls came to beg Denver, but he wouldn’t even listen to them.
Left with no choice, they went to Ashley and Fernanda. When the two pleaded on behalf of the girls because their parents were Alphas, Denver gave his conditions.
"They messed with my woman without knowing what she had been through. If Paris miraculously heals, then so will they."
Denver left instantly to mingle with his cousins and family friends.
Tears flowed down the cheeks of the girls, but no words would come out of their mouths.
Due to that, no one dared to speak ill of Paris when they arrived at Bronco’s coronation. They were all at Moonlight’s coronation and saw what happened.
Bronco was mated to Sophia, Raven’s second twin, and his beta was mated to the first twin, Isabella.
It was a wonderful occasion, bringing friends and family together.
A day before the full moon, there was a wendigo and underground rogue attack, disrupting the preparation of the coronation.
The family was enjoying a warm dinner when the war bells rang, and mindlinks flooded in.
"Alpha, there is a wendigo and underground rogue attack. This was the first time the two different types of monsters stormed the pack together.
"What’s going on? What’s that sound?" Paris panicked, and Denver calmed her.
"It’s the sign of intruders."
"Zoe, lead Paris and London to the safe house. Aunty Alice will help you gather and take care of the old and weak," Denver said.
"How can I help?" Grant asked. This was his first time experiencing a war.
"They are wendigos and underground creatures. Not even our best warriors can take them down. You have to be at the safe house too," Alpha Denzel said as Valerie announced.
"I’m ready."
Denver stared at his parents and spoke pleadingly. "Please let me handle them alone."
"You already know the answer to that," Alpha Denzel refused. Paris was almost at the secret entrance to the safe house when she remembered something and ran back.
"I have the serum in tubes that can stop them from reproducing, but I’m the only one who knows how to handle it. It’s too deadly."
Denver went into deep thought since he knew about it. After preparing it, she never allowed him to touch it for the same reason.
"Alright, you are coming with me. Go get the serums."
"No, she’s not. It’s too dangerous, and she doesn’t have her wolf yet," Alpha Denzel refused, but Denver explained calmly but hastily.
"We found out that the underground rogues and wendigoes were laboratorily produced in a way that once any fluid in their body touches the earth, they reproduce after a few years."
"Then why not pour the serum on the earth to prevent them from reproducing?" Alpha Denzel asked, and Paris explained.
"The serum is very deadly. If it comes into direct contact with the earth, it will destroy the topsoil and possibly make our food poisonous."
Alpha Denzel was impressed by Denver and Paris’s union. "Alright, we all stay close to each other."
Paris smiled, not knowing what awaited her but eager to be a part of it.
After getting the serum, Alpha Denzel ordered the warriors. ’Retreat and be alert. Don’t try to attack any of the creatures.’
Luckily, some of the underground rogues just had their heads popping out of the earth, so Paris wore her goggles and began applying the serum on their heads. She wore gloves the whole time, ensuring that none of it touched the earth directly.
"Denver, please remember not to kill any of them without the serum, or they’ll reproduce," she warned.
Within a few minutes, they watched in amazement as those having a touch of the serum began to change color as if they were being burned with fire.
"It’s working," the warriors exclaimed, but before Paris could apply more serum, one of the wendigos was after her.
