"Good day, Alpha Denzel, I will inform Alpha Ludwig about your arrival," the security at the gate spoke politely, Alpha Denzel shook his head.
Everything would be ruined if Alpha Ludwig found out about his presence, as the motive for this visit was to find out if every report Ludwig sent was true or just forged.
Alpha Denzel had been engaging Burke to attend meetings on his behalf, making him spend little to no time at the Black Fur pack.
Slowly, he was equipping Burke to work independently without him, reflecting how the pack was managed without it being obvious that Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie had been away.
"No. This is a surprise visit. If you inform him, you will be in trouble," Alpha Denzel warned sternly, suddenly putting on his cold aura, the security man cowered at his words and deep penetrating gaze.
Then he stared at Raven, who was taking in the appearance of her surrounding including the ambiance of the entrance of the gate.
There were flowers, that were still at the nursing stage but it was clear that should they grow, the entrance of the Black Fur Pack would be very beautiful.
The totem of the Black Fur Pack, which was a black wolf, was also neatly carved on top of the large gates with the pack’s name also carved underneath it.
This was also the only pack that had their warriors at the gate in charge of security wearing black uniforms to differentiate them from other pack members.
"Yes, Alpha Denzel," the security man nodded his head nervously and pressed the automated button for the gate to open.
Automated gates were not there previously at the Black Fur Pack but Ludwig seemed to have picked a lot from the Evergreen pack, and tweaked them to suit the black fur pack’s preferences.
Alpha Denzel smiled, seeing that his decision to give Alpha Ludwig a second chance was not in vain.
As much as he always had his disagreements with the moon goddess, she seemed to be right in her ability to pair mates 99% of the time.
It was just due to selfishness that most people loss out on what she wanted to give them.
In Alpha Denzel’s situation with Valerie, he equally got the greater understanding during the last coronation that the moon goddess had her own battles to fight even as she took care of her creation.
"Alpha, this pack isn’t so big but its’ quite artistic and beautiful," Raven observed, a smile on her stretching her lips, bringing out that innocence she always carried with her.
The corner of Alpha Denzel’s lips curled up slightly. Indeed, Alpha Ludwig had done beyond his expectation in just a few months.
Alpha Denzel could not tell if Ludwig was just being lazy at the beginning or if he genuinely had no idea of how to manage a pack because he worked under a selfish Alpha, who was not willing to teach him how to be a leader.
Most of the developments were still under work in progress but Denzel could already guess how the end was going to look like.
This made him understand how powerful finding one’s mate was. He could relate, as it was the same way Valerie changed him from the cold and aloof man he was to a man with the heart of gold.
"Will you like to live in this pack?" Alpha Denzel suddenly asked, Raven was taken aback by the question, fearing if it was because of her open appreciation of the pack.
Then remembered the life she had at the evergreen pack and shook her head.
"No matter what, I will always choose the Evergreen pack over any other. It isn’t just about the beauty but my wonderful family."
Even during the time she spent with her parents at the Yellow stone pack, and all the love she received from both them, Alpha Lawn and Luna Alma, she still felt attached to the Evergreen pack.
"You treat me like a kid sister and sometimes a father. Luna Valerie does same. Alice is like a sister to me and the pack members are awesome. I can’t sacrifice that for anything in the world," Raven concluded.
Most people stared at her, as she reminded them of Alice, the invisible girl. It was strange that only after her departure, did she become visible in their eyes, especially when she returned with Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie.
However, Raven had made her first appearance with Alpha Denzel so, the respect and fear the bestowed on him was like a shield over Raven, especially when they parked the car after crossing the gate and began making the rest of the journey on foot.
Alpha Denzel pondered over her words, glad, but also knowing that the inevitable was bound to happen, especially when Ludwig was fulfilling his part of the bargain.
In the beginning, Alpha Denzel had put him to the test to justify the reason he was undeserving of Raven but who knew that Alpha Ludwin would change this much?
He was like a new Alpha no one ever heard of and Alpha Denzel would not be able to stop him when the need arose for him to bring Raven to this pack.
"What is if you find your mate in this pack?" He asked, but felt saddened when he saw the sorrowful look in Raven’s eyes.
She was a little distraught but then she remembered the jade necklace and smiled a little.
At least Alpha Ludwig was very nice to her. "In that case, I won’t have a choice but the Evergreen pack would always be on my heart and I would always get to visit right?"
"Anytime, but we are just talking and you are already getting emotional," Alpha Denzel pointed out, Raven smiled a little but her response stunned him.
"That’s because I know anything can happen."
The moon goddess was always full of surprises and Raven knew that so well, for which reason she could not refuse such occurrence.
Alpha Denzel was glad that Raven was open minded. He directly went over to the areas Alpha Ludwig pointed out developing in the agricultural sector to stop the pack from importing groceries from other packs but was greatly amazed by what was happening.
