Everyone had different intentions for attending the coronation, but the pack house was now closed, and there were no calls or messages from any Alphas on the way.
Not having time to entertain the guests, they were only served with food and drinks before retiring to bed.
Rest was needed for everybody to look good the next day, and after all the guests retired to their rooms, Denzel, Burke, Idris, and Troy slept in the living room, just in case any of Orion’s friends lingered in the pack unknown to them.
Big events like this attracted a lot of troublemakers, and though a lot of measures were put into place to ensure maximum security, things could still go wrong sometimes.
The next day, which was the coronation day, the Evergreen pack was booming with good music. It was so loud, permeating through all the corners of the pack as a reminder that there was a very important event about to happen.
It was also a wakeup call to some people, especially the warriors who spent the night on patrol, ending up oversleeping.
The center of the pack had been transformed overnight and was looking exceptional by the professional decorators.
There were decorative flowers and other fancy decorative items used inside the tent canopies, making it look like a large, endless glamorous auditorium.
With everything arranged to take place in the tent with no one moving around the pack, the seating did not take the usual theater arrangement but rather the ballroom style.
It was huge enough to even take the pack members, and the decors and lights made it mind-blowing like that of a fairy tale royal wedding.
Even if it rained, it would not distract the occasion. More Alphas were arriving and were being received by Alpha Troy, Idris, and Beta Burke.
Their presence would prevent anyone using charms to not succeed with it, and due to that, they woke up early to take care of this bit for Alpha Denzel.
In the pack house, Alpha Denzel awoke all the guests, ensuring that they dressed up and left for the event but stayed behind to keep guard of the pack house himself.
Alpha King Spartan also went to the event center when the emcee arrived. Alpha Lawn had dressed up and was also ready.
Due to the excitement, no one was hungry, but of course, some snacks would be served during the occasion before the buffet lunch.
"You ladies are all looking stunning. Raven, you and Alice look like princesses. How are you?" Luna Fernanda asked, admiring the girls who had similar qualities.
Aside from their petite frame, they both had special talents, one in herbs and the other in powers with daring consequences.
"I’m sixteen and would be turning seventeen in a week," Raven was more excited than she had ever been in her life.
She wondered why people did wrongs warranting them to be banished when packs were filled with love and acceptance.
It was not the same in the rogue communities where everyone was left to fend for themselves. There were no laws, meaning no security too.
"A week, and you never told anyone," Valerie chastised her, Luna Fernanda added. "I hope you find a very good mate one day."
Finding one’s mate was the dream of every girl in the werewolf community. Since the time was getting close, Luna Fernanda discharged everyone.
"Alice and Raven, you can leave with Adira. I want to have a word with Valerie and Ashley."
Adira smiled. Last night was awesome with Luna Fernanda’s presence. It felt like a mother with many daughters, and they laughed, ate, drank, and told jokes.
If not for the coronation, and the fear that Valerie might have dark circles under her eyes the next morning, no one would have slept.
She was just glad that Luna Fernanda treated her like a daughter, unlike how she was constantly suspicious of her when she lived with her at the pack house.
Adira only had herself to blame for those times.
"Yes, Luna Fernanda. And Valerie, you really look like the queen of the occasion," Adira said.
Valeria recalled something and informed her. "Please tell Denzel to wear black. He looks good in it."
Her cheeks stained red when she remembered the first time she saw him. He captured her heart, only to break it. Then he worked his way into possessing her heart and succeeding at it.
When in black, he commanded an aura that was just too hard to resist.
Adira had even opened the door and saw Denzel downstairs.
"He must have read your mind. He wore black and looks like the god of war. Kidding, he’s good looking, hot, and domineering."
The three ladies laughed and left together as Luna Fernanda said to Valerie and Ashley.
"You two are born Lunas. Ashley, we shall be leaving together and would get to talk a lot."
Ashley shook her head, knowing that exposing Scarlet and just going to be the beginning. Rebuilding the pack was another thing she could not allow her father to do alone.
"No. I would have to help my father first so I won’t be leaving immediately. I hope you understand."
Luna Fernanda felt selfish, having forgotten a very important piece of the puzzle. She quickly offered an honest apology.
"Sorry. I forgot that bit." Her attention shifted to Valerie as she would be leaving tomorrow. Even at her age, she looked stunning in the off-shoulder navy blue glitter gown she wore.
"So, Val, you should understand that you are now the mother of the pack whenever Denzel is around but when he’s away, you are both the mother and father."
Valerie knew that much as Denzel already explained it to her. The advantage of her situation was due to the fact that she began playing the role of a Luna even before finding her mate.
"Yes, Auntie Fernanda. I just wish Alessia was here." She missed her sister-in-law so much as the times she spent away in the garden with Alessia mostly by her side drew them close.
This was her big day, and it wasn’t fair for her to miss it. Valerie had wanted to ask Alpha Denzel to send Alessia over but due to the weight of the businesses, lost the courage.
However, a familiar voice responded to her words. "And who said I was going to miss it?" Alessia asked jokingly and froze at the door at the sight of Ashley. "Are you twins?"
"Alessia? How come you are here?" Valerie was filled with so much excitement; it was hard for anyone to understand.
