It was heartbreaking for teenage girls to do this to a fellow age mate. Alpha Denzel felt that he owed Alice justice for the help she gave Valerie.
He was also happy for Valerie’s instinct. It was obvious that Alice would have been at the event center a while ago but was held back by these girls.
If Alpha Denzel had more time on his hands, he would have supervised the punishment himself, but with the urgent matter ahead, he left everything in the hands of Alpha Ludwig.
"Alpha Ludwig, make sure they choke, slap, and stab each other," he said. Ava was relieved that Alpha Denzel would not be around.
Since her elder brother was among the strongest warriors of the pack, he could plead on their behalf after Alpha Denzel leaves, but that hope was soon washed away by Alpha Denzel’s next words.
"I want to see the video."
Alpha Ludwig nodded in agreement as the three girls shivered from fright. The request for the video meant they would not be able to beg for forgiveness.
What Alpha Ludwig did not expect and was also not comfortable with was Alpha Denzel’s next words.
"Alice is coming with us. Call your pack doctor to meet us by the car."
Tears stung the eyes of Alpha Ludwig. Alice was a pivotal figure in the Black Fur Pack, and countless times, Alpha Ludwig begged Alpha Kenderick to relocate Alice to the pack house, but he refused, saying it would raise suspicions.
Alpha Ludwig had in mind to do so after the coronation, but these girls had to do this and ruin it all for him.
"Alpha Denzel, please, I will move Alice to the pack house and personally take care of her," he said politely.
Alpha Denzel was about to refuse when Luna Valerie took the words out of his mouth. "No way. This shows that this girl has been bullied countless times in this pack. Do you not know?"
She sounded upset, and Alpha Ludwig’s head bowed, unable to face the shame.
Even last night, his wolf told him to move Alice to the pack house when he went to remind her, but for some reason, he still did not act on it.
His defenses broke, and he lost the battle since Luna Valerie was unrelenting as she instructed the warrior to take Alice to their car.
The warrior carried Alice away as Valerie wheeled Alpha Denzel. The doctor was by the car with a medical kit by the time they got there, and Alpha Ludwig remained with the three girls, ashamed of what happened to Alice.
"What is wrong with you girls? Do you know what we just lost? Have you even thought about how you all sleep peacefully at night? Now you shall all join parole if you are able to survive torturing each other. Will you start, or should I instruct a warrior to do it for you?"
Alpha Ludwig was always nice throughout his time as a beta. This was their first time seeing him so upset, and it was not because he was now an Alpha, but because of what they did to Alice.
Julie slapped Ava, Ava slapped Sally, and Sally slapped Julie. Alpha Ludwig felt it was not strong enough.
"Is that all you got?" He mind-linked one of the warriors to come. Unexpectedly, it was Ava’s elder brother.
"Alpha, I’m here." He stared at the redness of his sister’s face and grew worried. Before he asked what was going on, Alpha Ludwig instructed.
"They are supposed to be slapped, choked, and stabbed in the back with that dagger." He turned to the floor where the dagger had fallen upon their arrival. "Now start," Alpha Ludwig instructed.
Cliffton, Ava’s brother, was reluctant. "Alpha, please, what is the problem? Why should I hit, choke, and stab my sister?"
Ava explained it to her brother through tears. "That’s what I did to Alice, so Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie sent her away."
Cliffton froze. He was among the few warriors who knew about Alice’s special powers, and even he was upset.
"How could you, Ava?" He slapped her hard, and she fell on the floor. Julie and Sally shivered, and before they could utter a word, they were both lifted by the throat in the hands of Cliffton.
Alpha Ludwig watched, and when they began to show signs of unconsciousness, he spoke up. "Not yet. They all have to taste the knife."
He lifted Ava from the floor by the throat and choked her, as Cliffton gave the two girls, including his sister, a taste of the dagger in the back per Alpha Ludwig’s instruction after he dropped Ava.
With the girls lying on the floor with their bloody backs, he asked, "Alpha, can’t we do anything? We can plead with Alpha Denzel."
Alpha Ludwig shook his head. "He told me to record everything. I’m sending it to him, but I doubt he would consider. Just forget it. Everybody should get ready for patrol. We shall run shifts."
Today was supposed to be a happy day for him, but everything changed because of his negligence and the inhumane action of these three teenagers. He did not care if they lived or survived and began to make his way to the car park.
The pack doctor of the Black Fur Pack met Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie at the car park as Alpha Ludwig instructed with a medical kit.
"She’s injured, but we are taking her along. Give her something to stop the bleeding and keep her unconscious longer until we arrive at the Evergreen pack."
The doctor nodded and attended to Alice. After he was done, Valerie buckled her safely in the backseat before sitting at the driver’s side after helping Alpha Denzel from the wheelchair to the passenger side.
The speed at which she drove out of the pack made the people around fear, thinking that she was upset.
Yes, she was, but right now, she was more concerned about making it to the pack on time. Alpha Ludwig arrived too late and could not see their departure.
Midway through the journey, Valerie was getting nervous, and her wolf soon appeared in the rearview mirror.
"Val, let me take the wheel. No need to pretend from here," Alpha Denzel suggested, discerning that the wolf might have a message for her.
Valerie stopped the car and changed positions with Alpha Denzel. She was so nervous that she shivered.
"Astrid, what do you want?" She asked after Alpha Denzel took the wheel. Valerie must have been speeding, but it seemed to her that Alpha Denzel was flying the car to make it on time.
"Val, this is your last chance. I discussed the heirship with the moon goddess, and she is giving you one last choice."
