The pack members and warriors had special ways of celebrating each and every birthday, depending on their rank and age.

Eighteenth birthdays were usually the biggest for every pack member. For those with living parents, it was often celebrated at home.

In Alice’s case, her strong support for the pack, along with the transformation of the training room, made the celebration special. Even in their training attire, everyone looked their best.

It was exciting for Alice to see the effort the pack members had put into this celebration after meeting her wolf for the first time.

Alice, still in her training attire, heard the voices of the excited warriors, which warmed her heart as the warriors began to sing "Happy Birthday," Alice noticed someone missing and felt a pang of disappointment.

How could he not be here on this special day for her? Did he find his mate? Alice was troubled but tried not to show it as she responded to the birthday chorus, eager for it to be over, so she could go search for him.

"Congratulations, Alice, did you get your wolf yet?" One of the warriors asked. Alice smiled and replied,

"Yes, I did. I will join you for wolf training next time."

She was uplifted by their joy as they lifted her in the air. Her laughter filled the room, momentarily pushing Burke out of her mind.

With training over before her arrival, food and drinks were served, and Alice cut the cake with Raven and Ray by her side.

Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie watched Alice closely and noticed that she was not completely happy, despite the celebrations.

The best part of discovering your mate is feeling a pre-existing attraction to them before the mate bond is revealed.

Only Luna Valerie and Alpha Denzel noticed that Alice felt that attraction for Burke, as she left the warriors after the celebration and kept to herself.

"Are you looking for someone, birthday girl?" Luna Valerie asked, looking stunning in a loose, white floral dress.

As expected, a strong arm was wrapped around her waist as if she were going to run away with the pup in her belly.

Alice could neither lie to Luna Valerie nor Alpha Denzel, so she spoke honestly.

"I haven’t seen Burke anywhere. I’m just wondering if he’s fine."

Luna Valerie wanted to clap for her, and with these kinds of unions, their joy was complete because both Alice and Burke were pack members.

In Raven’s case, there would be some kind of sadness attached to the joy because she would be leaving for another pack.

Alpha Denzel had not even dropped a hint as he and Luna Valerie were still thinking of how to accept their loss from that angle.

Then again, what if they had not accepted Raven into this pack? How would Alpha Ludwig have found her in the rogue community?

Everything was clear that the moon goddess had everything planned, and all of them were just like actors in her production.

"I think he’s fine. He has been sent on an errand and will be back in a few days," Luna Valerie said, amazed by the shock and gloomy look on Alice’s face.

"A few days?" Alice was unhappy, but Valerie exchanged glances with Alpha Denzel before they both nodded their heads in unison.

Satisfactorily, even without the mate bond, Alice was drawn to Burke. It was not just because they both lived in the packhouse but also because of something special between them.

Something the pack members were about to find out, be it today or tomorrow, depending on how everything goes.

The party ended, and Alice was sad, not because of the party but because Burke did not show up, and from what she deduced from everything Luna Valerie said, she will not see him for a few days.

Alpha Denzel left with Luna Valerie, as did the other warriors when Raven said to Alice,

"Come, I want to show you something."

Alice was only missing Burke, knowing that not even all the gifts piled up in her room would be able to take her mind off from seeing him.

As such, she did not ask any questions and instead followed her. Raven stopped at her house and helped Alice with a quick shower and a new set of clothes but did not tell her they were from Burke.

However, the change of clothes made Alice suspicious, and she inquired, "Why did you make me change? Where are we going?"

Raven held her hand and replied, "It’s a surprise, and my only job is to get you there."

Alice frowned in confusion but, due to the trust she had for Raven, continued to follow the latter, wondering why Raven gave her such a sexy dress to wear.

This was the first time Alice wore a dress that flaunted her curves, and she wanted her crush to see it, except that he was not there, or maybe someone was not telling her the whole truth.

Under the moonlight, under a single tree, there was a table for two with expensive wine, food, and drinks. A man sat on a chair with his back turned, dressed in a gray suit. His stature resembled Burke, but his haircut was different.

Alice felt strangely drawn to this person, wondering who he was. This was not a mere attraction but the mate bond. When she turned to the side to ask Raven, she was nowhere to be found, as if she had just vanished into thin air.

Her curiosity drove her to the person, and the more she walked to him, the greater and faster her heart beat for him.

Then the aroma of her favorite dishes made it even more difficult for her to resist, and she was glad to have not eaten much during the party, aside from the fact that it was all because she had not seen Burke.

Just as she was about to tap him on the shoulder, he turned around, and their gazes met. Her heart leapt, and she clung to him. "Burke?"
