Earlier, Godic was thrown into a state of unease when Alpha Denzel mentioned his inability to control his woman.
Unlike Alpha Denzel, Godic loved that his woman was clingy to him. He had never had a woman before and had never permitted this kind of closeness from any other woman, but she was his mate.
He was also proud of the fact that she waited for him and accepted him and his family wholeheartedly. Thinking it through, he did not think that he even deserved her.
The closer she was to him, the happier he felt, proud of the fact that they could not get enough of each other.
However, he also understood things from Alpha Denzel’s perspective, serving as a pointer to the fact that public displays of affection should be minimized at times like this.
To avoid offending Alessia, he patted her waist, and due to their sitting position, neither Denzel nor Valerie saw it, even as he pinched her butt slightly before whispering in her ear.
"You sure know how to turn me on," the huskiness in his voice caused her body to shiver with desire, suddenly feeling so hot around him.
Worse, Godic went on to touch on her greatest fears. "I might just have you right here in front of your brother if you keep your butt here."
Alessia was filled with unease that for the first time, she lost her tongue and the grace to retort. Her mate had found the antidote to taming her.
She might joke around with Denzel a lot, but that was far from having sex in front of him, and though Godic said it jokingly, she took it quite seriously from the hard rod that was pressed against her, as if it was going to split her in two.
"Denzel, that is our secret," Godic said, a little flustered. There was no way he could explain to Denzel what he used to get Alessia off his lap. They might be in-laws now, but Denzel was still the boss and Alpha.
Godic knew were to draw the the lines and would not take advantage of his position as the Alpha’s brother-in-law.
Seeing how flushed Alessia looked, Alpha Denzel did not insist on it and went straight to business.
"Alright. I called you because of the businesses in Las Vegas." This matter was dear to Alpha Denzel’s heart, and he eagerly wanted to introduce Valerie to it.
Though determined to do so, he was not willing to risk her losing her wolf when it had not yet taken over. Thus, until after the full moon, he was not ready to travel to the human world.
"Alessia should be in the accounts department at the head office. Keep her away from the clubs, and you will thank me later."
Alpha Denzel knew that his sister was wild. If taken to the clubs, her focus on work would dwindle, and she might create a lot of trouble for Godic.
Alessia being mated to Godic was both a blessing and a curse. Alpha Denzel was determined to capitalize on the blessing part to chase away the curse, but Alessia was in a different world of her own.
"Why can’t I be in the clubs?" She asked seriously, greatly annoyed by the instructions. There were clubs in their communities, but she never attended due to a high level of duty.
If she had the opportunity to enjoy life, then why was her brother taking it from her? "That’s because you have a lot to learn. The business there is different from here. Also, you have to learn how to fly a private plane. Does that not interest you?"
That interested Valerie, as she was determined to fly a plane the moment she saw Alpha Denzel doing so.
"Well, I’m eager to learn how to fly that plane," Valerie chimed, catching Alessia’s attention.
"Is it that cool?" Alessia asked, looking puzzled.
"You have no idea. Since you’ll be leaving in the chopper, you would understand what I mean. I won’t lie that I’m not jealous you are going to learn before me."
Valerie was honest. She saw the opportunities in the human world and wanted to make the best use of them. However, her existence in her world mattered more, for which reason she had to wait for her wolf to take full control.
After that, she could visit all the beautiful places she wanted. There was still that little fear of not being able to bear the pack an heir, but after all that had happened so far, she could not help but hang on to Alpha Denzel’s promises to create their own destiny.
"I would love to learn how to fly the plane, but I still want to go to the club," Alessia insisted. Godic took the response from Alpha Denzel’s mouth.
"I won’t let you."
Alessia pursed her lips and did not say anything more, recalling Godic’s words before she sat on the sofa by herself.
It was still ringing in her mind, making it difficult for her to refuse anything he says. Alpha Denzel was impressed by how Alessia was responding to her mate.
It was not as bad as he thought. "Godic, overall, you are in charge. Double-check the reports and financial statements before sending them to me, including all purchases."
He paused and checked a few things on his phone. "Involving partnerships, you can inform me."
Godic did not want a clash of women to make his work difficult. Alpha Denzel loved to employ women but could easily control them.
In Godic’s case, he preferred to work with a lot of men. "You already sent Aurora to the finance department."
Alessia wondered who Aurora was but thought about asking Godic about it later. Valerie was still uncomfortable with Aurora’s behavior, but since Alpha Denzel was with her, she could not allow herself to worry about something like that.
"So Alessia becomes her boss after training," Alpha Denzel revealed, adding, "Valerie and I would give our constant support, but we shall not be involved in the day-to-day administration. Is that understood?"
Godic felt that he had so many responsibilities without the accurate time to perform them.
"Denzel, why do I feel like you are pushing all the responsibilities on me? Who will deal with the troublemakers like the ones who sent the snippers?"
The sudden change in the direction of the conversation caused something to wake up in Valerie. Her voice grew stern. "Denzel, can we go with them? I want to teach them a lesson."
