Story: Nova
Turning away I head back to Prince Cain, since the bed was broken, I decide to look for the castle caretaker Orson. Instead, I find an attractive brown-haired man in his place. "Um I was looking for Orson" I mumble. "My father is away, is there something I can help with?"
I try not to drool as he stretches, and his muscles peak out of his shirt. When I don't answer his green eyes squint at me "I don't know what everyone else was saying you are attractive hue-man". My mouth opens in shock at his comment, I quickly close it and mumble a thanks.
"So...what can I help you with?" he moves closer to me making my heartbeat faster. The man leans toward me as my back presses against the door. "Dragon got you tongue?" he teases. "Dragons exist too?" this world was blowing my mind.
The man lets out an amused laugh as he looks at me "You are interesting". "Oh um Prince Cain's bed is broken and I thought it would be nice if it was fixed before bed time." I remember what I was supposed to be doing.
The man grabs his toolbox and carries a large piece of oak. I tried not to gasp as his muscles flexed. "Lead the way" he says. I take him to Cain's room, knocking before entering.
A wet haired Cain comes out of the shower water droplets dripping down him. Oh my god why were all these men ridiculously attractive! Cain looks at me and then the man who was inspecting his bed.
"Initiative, I like that" Cain says as he walks into a large closet. "Ares, where is your father" Cain asks. "Away but he will be back in a few days, I am taking over his duties in the meantime". I watch as Ares saws, lifts and knocks Cains bed down before building it back up.
It was exhilarating, in every way. I tried to look curious instead of totally thirsty. "Nova, your tasks are done for the day you may get acquainted with your new room once Ares is finished." I hear Cain say
I couldn't respond Ares had lifted his shirt to wipe the sweat from his face revealing his very toned six-pack. "Nova" Cain bent down blocking my view, I had to resist the urge to moan in protest.
"Yes" I managed to get out. Cain looked from me to Ares and made a noise, he then grabbed my chin to make sure I was only paying attention to him. "I had your clothes moved to your room both yours and Alara's." he said. "Oh, you shouldn't have, we could have done it" I say surprised.
"You gave me such a nice shave; I thought I would show you my gratitude" his eyes pierce mine. I struggled to hold his gaze and found my eyes lowering to his lips. Now this was just unfair.
"Nova, wow I might ask you to help me shave" Ares chimed in. He looked at Cain and nodded in approval. I let out a giggle before brushing some curls behind my ears. "You are dismissed Ares, thank you" Cain snaps pulling away from me. "See you around Nova" Ares smiles at me as he walks out.
"You rather bed a carpenter then a Prince?" Cain asks me once Ares is gone. "What?" I spin around to face him. "I can hear both your heart beats" he says pointing to my chest and my lady downstairs. Oh my god I mentally kick myself.
"Look my body has a mind of its own, the heart beats as you put it has nothing to do with either of you".
Cain breaks into a smile "Either of us interesting".
"No that's not what I meant! Stop smiling" I frown which makes him smiles bigger.
"I just meant I am ovulating so the second heartbeat in involuntary".
"What is ovulating?" he becomes serious again. "The time a woman can get pregnant" I explain. "Pregnant?" he mouths the word. So, I rephrase "The time a woman can become with child, if she beds a man".
"Oh" he says scratching his black hair. "Okay good talk, bye" I run out the door before he can ask me anything else, that was enough biology for one day.
