"Assumptions are dangerous my love" I hear Cain say. Before I can say anything the red-head Cain broke his bed with walks in. "My Prince, my Queen" she bows. "Is his majesty ready to feed?" she asks. I only then notice Cain was not eating any food. "Come" Cain commands.

The red-head obeys a little too eagerly I might add. "Stop!" I abruptly yell. Everyone turns to look at me. All I can do is frown, he didn't want to drink from me but he can from another hell nah. "Your services are not required" I tell her.

"Nova..." Cain sighs. "My Prince?" the girl looks at him to confirm.

"Ignore her, expose your neck" Cain continues.

"Do that and that will be the last time you have a neck" I snap.

The girl freezes unsure what to do. "Stop being a child" Cain growls.

"If you are drinking from anyone its going to be me" I ignore his previous comment.

"I will drink from whoever I chose" he snaps. "Cain you do not want to play this game with me" I say coldly." I am your King! You do not order me around" he bellows. "And I am your Queen" I say firmly. I stare him down trying not to be intimidated or lost in his pretty eyes.

"My Queen, it's a requirement for the king to drink" Vato says softly.

"I am aware of that" I reply brushing my curls to expose my neck.

I see Cain eyes momentarily leave mine to look at my exposed skin.

I hear him make a weird rumbling noise before he grabs the red-head and skins his fangs into her.

The red head let out a moan and it took everything to not throw something at her. I get up and walk out of the dining room fuming, I could hear Eve say, "Go after her Cain". I wander into the garden and grab the nearest flower pot smashing it. Sighing I kneel to clean the pieces.

"Wow, you seem agitated" Ares says. "Ares if you want to keep your heart, I suggest you leave me alone". "Lose my heart" he says thoughtfully. He however ignores me and kneels down to help pick up the shattered pot.

I watch as he takes a piece and digs a hole to put the flower in. "I think it looks better than it did in the pot" he states. I let out a little laugh, "Oh good your smiling". Before I can respond I am being yanked up and fling over someone's shoulder "Put me down right now!" I yell

"Ares" I hear him say politely. I see Ares fade or rather become a blur, this man's audacity. When I can see normally again, we are in Cain's room, he roughly drops me on the bed. "What did I tell you about leaving my side?" he asks annoyed.

"I don't want to be around you right now" I ignore his question.

"You left my side twice in one day" he continues.

I move away from him and place a pillow on my face.

I didn't have energy to argue or fight. I could feel his weight as he climbed onto the bed, my heart started racing when I felt him hover over me.

"We will not leave this room until you talk to me" he says.

"Leave me alone" I moan. I feel him in-between my legs.

"What do you think you are doing?" I ask.

I pull the pillow off my face and squint at him.

"Now that I have your attention, talk to me.

" he searches my face. "You chose her over me, your future wife" I mumble.

"I need to feed every now and then to function efficiently" he responds. "I don't care that you have to do that, I care that you chose her. I am not allowed to fraternize with other men but you can sink your teeth into other woman that hardly seems fair." I say.

"Nova, I want it to be you" he says. "If you really did then I wouldn't be mad right now" I quip.

"I don't want you to be upset, I want you to understand you are all I desire.

I want to feel you in every way, know you in every way".

I was mad that he was now making me horny, I shouldn't want to crush my lips against his right now.

Cain stares at me waiting for me to say something but what could I say. I grab him by the shirt and pull him toward me, pressing my lips onto his. Cain moans as I explore his mouth with my tongue. I feel his cool touch when his hands slip under my dress and up my thighs.

I kiss him hungrily biting and sucking his lower lip, he grabs my hips lifting me up a little so he can touch my butt. I gasp when he gives it a hard squeeze before smacking it. "That is for leaving my side" he murmurs in my ear.

I am about to say something when he smacks my other cheek even harder. "That is for doing it twice" he murmurs into my other ear. This man was evil he was pushing all the right buttons. "I wonder if you taste as incredible as you smell" he says against my skin.

"Are we allowed to do that?" I finally find words to say.

"I am king we can do whatever we want". "So, we don't have to wait to be intimate with each other?

". "No" he says as he trails kisses along my collar bone.

I enjoy his lips on my body, he doesn't ask if I want more but I can tell from the kisses he does.

I was ready to give into our desires when I felt a pain in my belly which caused me to yelp.

"Nova what's wrong?" Cain looks up at me.

"No no no, seriously right now?" I moan angrily.

I feel the warm liquid threaten to escape, "I smell blood".

Cain says as he lifts up my dress "Why are you. .." "Get out from under there" I snap

I rush into the bathroom and close the door.

A few minutes later Cain bursts in, "Why are you bleeding?

" he was confused. Did women here not do that?

"It happens every month" I sigh. "Why?" "Because I did not fall pregnant" I say.

"You bleed because you are not with child?

" he looks shocked. "Is it painful?" he continues.

"Yes sometimes, I just need some tea and something warm to put on my belly and something to soak up the blood for the next seven days.

" I say. Cain starts frowning and seems extremely annoyed.

"What is your problem?" I couldn't believe he was mad, I was having cramps not him.

"You are extremely fertile that is dangerous" he says in a low voice.

"I thought you want kids, why is this a bad thing?

" "The creatures who live here can only have children during specific seasons, some can birth many and some only one at a time.

"If people found out you can fall pregnant at any point in time, they would want to.

.." he trails off and growls at whatever he was thinking about.

"Are you going to finish the sentence or? " I ask.

"Capture you and have their way with you" I laugh because who was dumb enough to kidnap the Queen to be and a Vampires Queen to be. "It is not a laughing matter Nova; this means you are extremely rare and valuable which makes this dangerous." he tells me.

"Cain..." I say softly. "Every man will want to have their way with you in hops you give them heirs and the women will try and kill you.

" he started pacing at this point. When he turns around to face me his eyes are black with rage, great he managed to work himself up.

"Baby.." I call softly. "I am not a baby" he growls.

"It's a term of endearment, now baby I know you are worried, but it will be fine" I say as softly as I can.

"We are not leaving this room until its over" he says.

Its like he didn't even hear me. "I am not staying in here for 7 days that ridiculous".

"I will stay with you" he responds. "You have things to do" i protest. "I will do them in here but we are not leaving this room and that goes for every time you are bleeding" he states.

"I refuse" Cain leans in "This is not a negotiation, you will do as I say.

I take your safety very seriously" it was very attractive that he did, but this was dramatic. "What are you going to tell people?" I ask. "That you do not feeling well" "Every month? Wont people get suspicious?" "Mmmh I suppose you are right" with that Cain leaves the room.

Since I had cramps and cravings, I decided to make a quick trip to the kitchen.

Before I did I grabbed Cain's cologne and sprayed it all over me especially under my skirt hoping it would mask the smell of blood.

I then started my journey to the kitchen, to my surprise I found the kitchen empty.

I grabbed a basket and filled it with cakes and savory delights before making a pot of tea.

As I waited Vato walked in "My Queen surely someone can do this for you" he points to the pot.

"I can make a little pot of tea Vato, I used to do it all the time" I smile.

I try not to make a face when a cramp hits me.

"My brother seems agitated, do you know why?

" Vato asks. "When is your brother not agitated" I say which makes us both laugh.

"True but his eyes lost their normal color and that only happens if he doesn't feed or infuriated"Vato continues. "I did disobey him twice" I shrug knowing the actual reason he was mad.
