The walk back was slightly awkward Tariq blushed when we made eye contact and Alara kept winking at me.I was happy to be away from my security team, Cain had wandered off to talk to Vato and Alara left to start my bathe then find and or make a suitable dress for my baby shower that was moved up to tomorrow afternoon.

"My Queen" Tariq bows. "Where is Ares?" I ask trying to make conversation. "In a meeting with the King and General Vato" he replies. I hated awkward shit so I decided to address the matter. "Sorry we were so loud" I mumble.

"I don't need an apology my Queen, I've protected royals before".

"I feel bad you had to hear that, and don't say you weren't loud or you didn't hear much.

" I question. "Of course not" he cocks his head at me.

" Soo are you like Ares's number two?" I ask.

"Yes" he keeps his answers short. "And you are a wolf?

". "Ares can hear our conversations" he says "He is in a meeting" I remind him.

"Why is he monitoring interactions?" I squint at him.

"Jealousy?" I guess making Tariq's eye twitches.

"Seriously he thinks if you talk to me too long you will what fall for me?

" I joke. Tariq's eyes sparkle and seem to smile but his mouth is a firm line.

"You're kidding.." I mumble and he shakes his head.

"Well that's dumb so since I'm your Queen, I order you to have conversations with me that require a minimum of 6 word replies.

I walk to the mirror and stare at my self.

"What the fuck is that?" I mumble. "Perhaps Cain was too rough?

" Rinus says. "Maybe the baby did it" Alara says into the room.

"The baby shouldn't be able to do that at least not yet" Rinus frowns.Oh my God this is how it starts,I didn't want a Bella pregnancy.

"Nova what's wrong?" Alara asks. "I don't want a Bella pregnancy, I can't drink blood, I like my food well done no pink or I can't eat it" I mumble.

"Rinus?" Alara looks at him. "She is talking about a made up story humans made about a human and vampire who fall in love and have a baby. The rest is irrelevant" he says.

A servant brings in the ultrasound machine and Rinus sets it up this time no eel.

I had questions but I had more important ones that needed to be answered first. As he inspects my belly he keeps frowning, "I swear if you don't say something right now I'm going to punch your dumb face" I snap.

"I'm going to ignore that because it's the hormones talking" he replies.

"I was wrong, you have been pregnant for awhile" he says. "No shit" I roll my eyes. "Rinus explain" Alara demands. "Nova has been pregnant longer however the baby is also growing faster I'm guessing that's the vampire genetics. She could give birth soon" he says.

"I'm sorry what?!" I shake my head. "I'm barely showing" I say.

"Maybe the women in your family were like that.

" he says. "I'm not ready we have so much to do.

" Hue-mans need 9 months, how many months is she?

" Alara asks. "Almost at 6 months of course I added two extra months because the baby is half vampire so she is about 4 months.

Children of Talon are all born 3 months earlier than expected, it may differ for you Nova". "I don't...how...what.." I didn't even know what to ask. "I told you Cain was a good hunter, his seed probably found your egg within seconds the first time he released in you."he says.

"Is this a good thing or bad thing?" Tariq asks. I had totally forgot he was in here. "Good question because Cain drank from me and I felt fine after." "Well both you and the baby are healthy so it's a good thing, we only have to worry if one of you is weak" he answers.

"How will I know when I'm ready to have the baby?

" I whisper. "It will tear through your stomach" Rinus teases.

"You're an asshole" I throw a pillow at him.

"Your body will tell you so just pay attention to it".

"What kind of bullshit advice is that?" I snap.

"I've never dealt with a hybrid pregnancy" he sighs.

"We need to find someone who has and get them here immediately" I turn to Tariq. "Yes my Queen" he bolts out the door. "You two, we need to figure out what the fuck is going on especially with what Indra said and why I'm a catalyst for a war like Zaros said." I inform them.

"Zaros said that to you?' Rinus frowns. "Yea why..." I squint at him. "I need to go, I'll be back in time for the baby shower" he runs out of the room. "That wasn't suspicious at all" Alara says. "Ugh it's Rinus he never gives all the information" I sigh.
