I didn't know how to initiate the telepathic communication we had at our wedding.

I tried for 20 minutes before starting to cry of frustration and also hunger.

"Nova? My love?" I finally hear him.

"I'm here" I meant ally yell. "Are you hurt,.

did..." I knew what he was asking. "I'm not hurt.

.. hungry though, I don't trust the food so not eating.

Zaros didn't touch me he basically asked me well demanded I bare him children" I sigh.

Cain let's put a long low growl. "I'm coming for you my love, ,Zaros isn't in his castle and his domain is vast so Vato and Ares are working on collecting information that might help".

I hear how distressed he is. "He doesn't want to hurt me or our baby.

I will try to get him to return me" I say.

"How?" Cain questions. "Lies and more lies but that may be hard because Emmett is here to fact check" I say through my teeth.

"They are both dead" Cain snarls.

"Promise me you will eat something, if it's true Zaros wants you alive and healthy the food should be fine, even if you have to demand Emmett to be your food tester" he tells me.

"I'm coming Nova, I swear hang on for a little bit" the sadness in his voice made me burst into tears.

I wasn't sure when, I fell asleep about I was woken up when I felt someone's arm around me.

Panicking I elbow the person hard in the ribs.

"Sweet girl, I was only consoling you...

you were crying in your sleep" Zaros pulls me closer to him.

"Get your fucking hands off me" I snap. Zaros laughs and sticks his head in my neck, "You smell sweet" he cooes.

I stiffen as I feel his fangs against my skin.

"Has he tasted you yet" he mumbles as he gets to the base of my neck.

I didn't know which answer would make him pull away so I go with yes. Zaros frowns at me not sure why.

"Zaros can we go on a walk?" I try to take his attention away from my neck.

"Are you trying to escape?" he squints at me.

"I'm pregnant do I look like I have energy to try and escape especially with a bunch of unruly Vampires roaming about?

" I stare at him. "I suppose not, why do you wish to walk?

" he questions. "It's good for me and the baby to get some exercise and fresh air" I sigh.

Zaros pulls us up from the bed and holds my hand, it felt strange.

"Is this how fast you always walk?" he questions after some time.

"I'm shorter than you and with child so yes" I roll my eyes.

The sun felt so nice on my face I nearly started skipping.

My peace was ruined when three blood red eyed vampires approached us.

"Whose the pet?" the girl asks. "Bride of Cain she is a guest" he corrects her.

Not sure being kidnapped equated to guest but okay.

"She smells nice, maybe just a little taste" a man moves closer to me.

"Touch me and you are dead"I snap. The man lets out an amused laugh, "what are you going to do about it hue-mam".

I smile wide "Oh I don't have to do anything".

The man tries to grab me but Zaros grabs him by the throat and squeezes so hard I hear bones break.

The man goes limp and falls to the floor.

"Anyone else want to take their last breath?

" he questions. The girl and the other man shake their head frantically.

"Get out of my sight he growls". "How does Cain do this, you are trouble" he scratches his head.

"It pays to do your research" I laugh. "Meaning?

" he raises an eyebrow. " You are in way over your head Jeremy" I yawn and lay on the grass.

"You got it wrong on purpose" he states. "Mmm no" I shake my head.

Closing my eyes I sunbath and try to take in the different scents cedar, maybe jasmine, I hear a babbling brook or creek in the distance.

..."my love you are a genius" Cains voice startles me.

"Come you are to bathe and then have dinner with me, Cain won't be happy if you die of hunger" Zaros scoops me up and starts walking. "I can walk" I protest.

"We are here" he says a few seconds later.

"Can Emmett be my food tester?" I question.

"You still don't trust me?" he sets me down.

"No you kidnapped me and don't want to return me" I respond.

"The first part is correct but I will return you" he says.

"When?" I ask excitedly. "When I feel like it" and with that he walks out the room.

It didn't seem like Zaros wanted to do anything thing sinister to me, which I was happy about.

My next question is then why kidnap me at all or in the first place, the way he talked about Cain it was like he knew him or respected him.

"Here Nova" Emmett walks in setting some clothes down.

"Look its for the best you wouldn't have left on your own so I made a deal with the servant who brought you here and then a deal with Zaros" he continues.

"What deal?" I ask through my teeth. "Once he gets whatever he wants out of having you here, you and I get to move to a place of our choosing and are under his protection" he smiles.

I stared at him for a long time saying nothing.

"Nova?" he calls. "I was imagining strangling you" I reply.

Emmett pales "I know its hard to digest but we will start where we left off and start a family".

"I can't believe, I was in love with you" I shake my head.
