"Shall we?" Cain asks when we get to our room.

"Shall we what?" I ask. "Fullfil my husbandly duties" he smiles.

"Oh nah I'm good" I jump on the bed and stretch.

"Nah? You are good? Explain?" he frowns.

I just shrug and grab a book to read. "Do you wish for Ares to be present?

" he asks after a few minutes. "Nope" I turn a page.

"Do you only wish to bed Ares?" he questions. "No" I turn another page.

"My love you are driving me insane, do you not desire me?

" he pouts. Setting my book down I stare at him.

"Cain we are having baby number two how can you be thinking about sex right now?

" I question. "You implied it earlier and I missed you" he folds his arms across his chest. Had he been working out, why did he look like that? Nova come on focus.

"My love you are now just being cruel looking at me like that" he frowns.

When I don't say anything to his comment he sits next to me.

"Its Aurelia isn't is it". "You know she wants to have my life right?

" I inform him. "I do not desire her so she can not have it" he plays with one of my curls. "Why is she so into you?" I ask.

I mean Cain was hot, mature, wealthy, caring, sweet he was that girl basically.

I don't know waht the equivlant is called for a man.

"We kissed once in our youth, well she kissed me.

But then again I think she has always been fond of me" he says thoughtfully.

"I thought I was your first kiss" I squint at him.

"You were I kissed you back and I actually like you well love you as you know" he kisses my temple.

"Cain she really need to leave with baby number two on the way and phase two of merging the worlds we can't afford any distractions" I state.

"I am working on it my love" he sighs. "Okay let me rephrase, I want it handled quickly, stress is not good for mama or the babies" I point to myself and my belly and the general direction Indi was sleeping in.

"Understood my love" he leans in. "What?

" I question. "Can I have a kiss at least?

" he says shyly. "Ugh you are too cute" I kiss him passionately before pulling away.

Cain and I then spent most of the night making out since I didn't want more than that.

I actually really liked making out and Cain seemed to too, resisting temptation was very hot.

Being in a good mood from last night I hummed to myself as I walked into the kitchen.

Alara was sitting eating her breakfast "You are in a good mood" she winks at me.

This lasted for a second because we hear her ask "So you are his mistress?

" Aurelia comes in. "What do you want?" Alara snaps.

"You are a placeholder, I am Cain's soulmate" she tells me.

"Thats cool" I take a big bite of my birthday cake I had Eve preserve for me.

"So count you days because I was destined to be Queen but do not worry I will grant you your daughter when I kick you out.

Annoyed I punch her right in the face making her laugh.

"Oh Cain is going to love this" she smiles.

Grabbing my cake and Indi I walk out the room.

I couldn't kill two people in the span of a few weeks. Keep breathing Nova, I kept repeating to myself. "I have been wanting to do that since forever" Alara squeals making me laugh. Turning serious she say "She won't steal Cain from you". "I dare her to try" I reply.

Dinner came all too fast I managed to avoid Aurelia and rocked Indi to sleep letting her laying on my chest. "Nova, I can hold her so you can eat" Vato offers.

"Thanks!" I smile at him. "Sorry I'm late my love, was going through my speech" Cain comes to sit next to me but not before placing a kiss on my lips.

"I missed you" he pulls me close nuzzling my neck.

"You just saw me" I laugh ,I had taken Indi to visit daddy earlier before I put her to sleep.

"I wanted to spend a whole day just the two of us" he kisses my neck.

"A whole day alone with you" I let my mind wander.

"Exactly my love" he bites my neck. "We are trying to eat" Rinus whisper yells.

"Cain oh its awful" Aurelia comes into the room. So the games have begun. "Aurelia what happened to your face?" Rinus asks. "Oh I wanted to keep it to myself but of course I could't hide it" she says dramatically. Here we go the theatrics I roll my eyes as Alara gives me a tell me about it look.

"Your Queen punched me, I was being nice and she just hit me" she begins sobbing.

"Nova is that true?" Cain turns to me. "Yes and I would do it again" I reply making Rinus burst out laughing.

"You can't just go around hitting people, I know you had a rough day meaning my morning sickness but apologise" he says.

"I'm not sorry, I would literally do it again.

I want to emphasise if given the opportunity to go back and choose to punch her or not, I would chose punch her" I say unapologetically.

"What has gotten into you?" Cain asks. "You are asking the wrong person the wrong questions" Alara chimes in.

"Alara not now" Cain snaps. No one but me challenged Cain so this was exciting to see.

"Do not Alara not now me! Ask you beloved friend what she said to get that mark on her face" she folds her arms across her chest.

"Aurelia what did you say?" Ares questions.

"I just introduced myself and said I was happy to meet her" she lies.

"You have two seconds to tell the truth before I fuck you up" Alara stands.

"I am telling you the truth" Aurelia kneels in front of Cain.

Alara jumps out of her chair and yanks Aurelia by the hair.

"Tell the truth!" Alara locks her in a choke hold.

"Alara let her go!" Vato exclaims. "Girl if you want me to tap in let me know" I say grabbing a dinner roll.

"Nova do not encourage that" Cain growls.

"Motherfucker I know you did not just growl at me when that bitch said I'm a placeholder so I should count my days.

That she is destined to be Queen and that she will grant me my daughter when she kicks me out.

Cains eyes widen, I am not sure in shock or.

.. but then they instantly turn black with rage.

"Aurelia, I am going to say this once so make sure you are listening anything happens to Nova or my daughter I will kill you without hesitating.

Aurelia opens her mouth to protest but Indi starts fussing and she disappears.

Everyone is silent for maybe about ten minutes before Theron breaks the silence.

"Where did she go?" he asks. " No idea Indi usually just teleports someone away from me and I can still see them".

"I'm sorry my niece did that?" Vato asks excitedly.

"Yes" Cain sighs. "That means she will be ready for her sword soon! " he cheers.

"Vato she is only two months. I can't be worrying about her and the second baby" he scratches his head.

"You are expecting Nova?!" Eve exclaims. "Um yeah, didn't know we were telling everyone" I glare at Cain.

"Sorry my love it slipped" he looks apologetic.

Sighing I wondered what this pregnancy would be like.
