"Nova!" Alara cheerfully called my name. "Not now Alara" I muttered turning around. I felt water splash on me jolting me up. "I have to prepare you, into the bath now" she ordered. Groaning I cleansed my skin, Alara kept going on about how I would make a magnificent Queen.

Putting on my panties and bra I reached for a simple dress, but my hand was smacked.

"No, this one was requested by the King to be" she holds up a black spaghetti straps lace illusion sleek satin mermaid dress.

I shake my head "The future King wants me to wear that?

" "Yes he said something about fashion" which makes me smile.

The dress hugged me like a second skin, my boobs looked incredible.

Alara slipped on black lace gloves as I stared at myself and put me in black heels to keep the dress from dragging.

"The King likes your curls so can we free them?

" I was slightly annoyed but nodded. Within a few minutes, some brushing and a little water my curls popped.

Alara grabbed my cheeks causing me to pucker as she added a dark red lipstick. She then blew a little glitter onto me and clapped in approval. "Lets go!" she takes my arm, I try to calm my nerves as we stop for me to drink what could be described as a smoothie since I didn't have time to eat.

Alara walked us to a set of long stairs and had us stop.

I could see everyone in the castle looking at Prince Cain with their full attention.

"Good morning, my castle residents. It is my honor to announce that I have found a suitable bride to be the future Queen.

" The room erupted in applause and cheers.

"This is not a decision I took lightly, my bride is kind, smart, fierce and simply out of this world. I hope you will give her the same respect you show me and make her feel welcomed". The crowd cheered again making Prince Cain nod in approval.

A pretty song on a violin started playing and Alara whispered "We need to walk now, keep your head held high". I walked as gracefully as I could down the stairs and held my head high. When we got to the bottom a few guards lined up on either side of Alara and I.

I could feel the tension and the anticipation in the air. Once we reached the stage Vato took my hand and helped me up before placing mine in Cain's. Alara stood obediently behind me with her hands behind her back.

"My Queen" Cain gently kissed my hand. "I would like to introduce our future Queen Nova of Eurth" The room fell silent and suddenly the residents started whispering amongst each other.

Someone I didn't think would take this news well shouted "Long live Queen Nova and the King! ". Was that Ares, oh my gawd.

The rest seemed to get over their shock and joined in the chant. Some started shouting in protest "A hue-man?", "This is an outrage". "Silence!" Cain's voice boomed and demanded obedience. "If you have a problem with my decision, feel free to come to my office or perhaps take it up with Vato.

At that moment Vato stepped up to the podium.

He seemed cold and unfeeling compared to the one I had seen.

"I would like to remind everyone that plotting in any way to harm the Future King and Queen is punishable by death.

" He put the emphasis on queen as everyone was probably mythical and could end me if they wanted.

I turned to whisper to Cain, "Is it okay if I say something?" Cain looked surprised but nodded. "My Queen would like to say a few words" he voice boomed. I was now regretting addressing people, why did I ask that.

"Good morning, everyone. I hope you are all well.

I understand this may be a shock to many of you and an adjustment.

This is not for just you; I need to adjust as well.

I know you may not think I am capable or qualified, but I assure you I am a fast learner as well as devoted to serving my Future King as well as his subjects as best as I can.

I want to make it clear that you are allowed the have whatever feelings you have, however instead of channeling it into something negative I would suggest channeling it into something positive." I turn to Cain "If my King allows?" Cain nods.

"I would like everyone who has concerns to write it down, you do not have to sign your name. I will then look at them and see how I can address each one. After this there will be a box in the middle of the maze where you can anonymously leave your concerns. I smile and step away from the podium.

I see Cain look at me with pride before he says "Orson, I would like a medium sized box with a lock and key made with a space to slip papers into in the center of the maze by lunch." "You are all dismissed" he waves his hand and everyone leaves the room.

A few minutes later a large breakfast is served in the dining hall. Cain sits next to me and whispers "You look stunning". "Nova! Your speech was that befitting a Queen!" Alara exclaims. "She will make a wonderful Queen brother and an excellent sister-in-law" Vato smiles at me.

"I knew it from the moment I laid eyes on her". "What?! that can't be true you asked "What is it?!" I mimic his voice. Cain grabs my chin "Yes, but I saw it in your eyes, now eat my little fawn". With that he lets me go and I wonder if he is telling the truth or not.
