Once we got to our room Cain set me down on the bed and started pacing.

I sat there silent letting him think, this went on for 30 minutes before I had enough.

"Cain, sometimes it helps to talk it out" I offer.

"Ares is right" he sighs in defeat. "Fuck!

" he suddenly yells. "Right about which part?

" I ask softly. "Everything" he frowns. "Do you want him as a lover?

" I stare at Cain in shock. "If you intend to be faithful, I will too" I tell him.

"If I allow it would you take him as a lover?

" he asks again. "Mmmh no, it would feel weird and I would feel guilty, you are my husband" I say softly.

"He loves you Nova" I laugh because all this was intense.

Cain frowns at me "What part of this is funny?

" he demands. "All of it everything since I got here", I shrug.

"We need to tell, Vato and Alara about your fertility" he finally says.

"Why?" I ask. "Well, they can protect you when I am not there.

" He says. "Alara?" I asked she seemed too timid.

"Don't let her timidness fool you water elves are vicious when they have to be" he laughs softly.

"So we are just telling them so they can protect me? " I still didn't get his plan.

"No, Vato helps me make all my final decisions" he informs me.

"Like the one of me being Queen?" I ask.

"No but indirectly yes, it's true you bring the castle to life.

" He admits. "What do we need help deciding?

" I press. "Ares being your protector" he lays down rubbing his temple.

I climb on top of him, it bothered me that his was tearing him apart.

"Do you want to make-out?" I smile shyly. "Make-out?" he repeats.

"Lots of continuous kisses" I smile leaning in.

"Does my distress excite you?" he looks at me curiously.

"No, I was offering a fun distraction" I move to get off him but he holds my hips in place.

His hands move up and down my body as he sits up and wraps my legs around his waist. "Let the make-out begin" he murmurs.

We crush our lips together, fighting for control.

I do what I know he likes and bite on his lower lip before pulling, Cain lets out a loud moan.

He then attacks my neck licking, kissing and sucking the skin.

As he does my fingers tangle in his hair, he chuckles approval into my neck before I hear a rip and my dress begins to slid off my shoulders.

Cain lays me on my back and looks down at me like I am a work of art.

He grabs my foot and trails kisses up my leg he alternates between the left and right.

When he gets to my hips he pulls me toward him and takes off his shirt revealing his sculpted body.

My heart races as I look at him and I lick my lips, god was he sexy.

Between my legs he leans down and continues spreading kisses on my body making me moan in desire.

His lips claim mine when he reaches my face, the kisses are urgent, tender and express everything he has told me.

"I want to show you how much I desire you" he whispers in my ear sending shivers down my spine.

Cain lets out a low rumble or kind of puur it was very attractive, causing me to wrap my legs around him again.

A soft knock echoed the room, Cains head snapped up as be barked out a "WHAT?

!". Rinus swings the door open and a smile twitch on his lips as he looks down at me.

"Two servants, have come knocking to inform you that lunch is ready. " He says.

"Rinus" I acknowledge him. Cain's body covers most of mine but gravity was pushing my boobs up.

"Sister" he smirks. "Why are you telling me this?

" Cain glares at him. "The family is waiting on you baby brother, both of you" he adds.

"I'm busy" Cain says placing a kiss in-between my cleavage.

"You better not be looking at my bride" Cain snaps.

In that moment my stomach rumbles making Cain sigh and Rinus laugh "I guess you are coming for lunch after all" with that he walks out the door.

Cain pulls his shirt back on and walks into the closet pulling out a new dress for me to wear.

Running into the bathroom I make myself look presentable.

I walk out grab one of Cain's long-sleeved white shirts and tuck into a brown skirt before putting on a matching brown corset.

I pulled the shirt to make it off-shoulder before asking Cain to tie the back of my corset.

"You do not want to wear the dress I picked for you? " he asks.

"I want to feel like your arms are around me" I smile at him in the mirror.

Cain gives me a happy smile before taking my hand and walking to the dinning room.

"Thank god, I'm famished" Talon says when we walk in.

"You may be seated" Cain says. Just then Ares and Orson walk in and I feel Cain tense.

"What are they doing here?" he whispers to the table.

"I invited them" Eve says excitedly. "Rinus thought it would be nice to catch up with old friends" she smiles.

I look at Rinus and he gives me an amused look, was he causing trouble?

"Old friend more like a lover you won't seem to forget" Talon mumbles.

"Come Orson there is a seat free next to me" she ignores her husband.

Orson smiles and sits next to her whereas Ares comes to sit next to me.

Fearing the closeness will give him ideas, I move to sit on Cain's lap.

Which he seems to like because his body relaxes.

Conversation fills the dining hall as Cain feeds me before taking bites of food himself.

"What kept you so long?" Rinus asks. He was stirring trouble he saw what Cain and I were up to.

"Yes tell us son why we had to wait so long to grace us with your presence" Talon seems annoyed but I wasn't sure which upset him more the fact that I was ignoring him, his wife having a fun time talking to her ex-lover or having to wait to eat.

"I was busy" Cain says handing me a bread roll. "Doing what?" Talon snaps.

"You can smell Cain all over Nova" Ares says in annoyance.

Talon's face shows understanding, and he lets out a chuckle.

"Why wouldn't my Queen smell like me? We share a bed" Cain turns us so we are facing Ares.

Ares glares at him before looking at me "What did you think of my offer Nova?

". "It is my Queen to you" Cain snaps. "The Prince and I are still discussing it" I smile slightly.

"So you have no preference?" he presses.

"Well I have never had a bodyguard before so I don't know what to think of it and if you two will constantly be at each other's throats which is stressing me out.

So I am wondering if it's a good idea. I am not sure I want to listen to the bickering or the fighting.

" "My Queen I am offended I would behave" Ares says.

"You kissed me after I told you we cannot see each other anymore and you told my future husband my lips were delicious today.

I wouldn't say you really like to behave. " I reply.

"Whatever you want my Queen I will do it" Ares tries to convince me.

I grab his face as I stare at him wondering if he is being truthful "I want you to stop agitating my betrothed.

" I say "Consider it done" he smiles. "No more flirting" I say.

Ares looks at me like I have given him the most impossible challenge "I will not do it with the prince present" he says. "Fine" I say.

"Anything else?" he asks eagerly. I let him go and lean into Cain to give him a kiss as I watch him.

Ares lets out an annoyed growl "That, that needs to stop" I point.

"What?" he asks. "Cain is my husband, being physical is part of that, you can't growl every time we touch" I explain.

"That's like asking me not to breathe" he pouts.

"Look, you want the job right. You need your head, heart and that.

.." I point to his crotch "on the same page" I finish.

Ares closes his eyes and lets out a very long sigh "Okay" he finally sighs.

"Great, I will try to advocate for you when we continue the discussion" I give his hand a gentle squeeze. Which causes Cain to growl.
