After some breakfast in bed and a nice bath I was finally ready to start my investigation.

Vato stood outside Emmett's door and bowed as we approached.

I laced my fingers with Cain's and took a deep breath.

To my surprise he was taking the fact my ex was in our house pretty well, if one of his were here I would be flipping out.

"Emmett" I acknowledge him. "Why so formal?

I know you like the back of my hand" he states.

"You will show the Queen respect or I will start breaking fingers" Vato threatens.

"Why so formal, my Queen" he bows. "Take a seat" I point to the chair.

I did't know where to start but Cain seemed to.

"How did you get here? I don't mean this castle, this realm" Cain asks.

"Oh easy okay so Nova and I fought. I don't even remember what it was about, probably something dumb I did.

After it I was mad and she was crying and I was overstimulated.

I went to my happy place...". "You left her there crying?

" Cain asks in disbelief. "Yes, she likes to be left alone when mad also she told me to get the fuck out of her sight. " he say. "Proceed" Cain nods.

"I got in my boat and had a few drinks. The rocking of the waves always soothed me.

I was going to go back but got caught in a storm.

It was really bad, I tried to call Nova but I had no signal and I tried calling for help on the radio but there was only static.

The waves were terrifying, and then thats when my boat got pulled down into the water.

"I got knocked out but, before my eyes closed I swear I saw a tentecal.

When I woke up he was staring at me. "Who is he?

" Vato asked. "Uh the guy with white hair and icy blue eyes" he replies.

"Rinus?" I ask. "Oh that's his name, man he wasn't much of a talker.

The others wanted me to be their play thing but he sang something that scared them away, it gave me goosebumps.

I shut up and tried to stay out of his way, from what I gathered he seemed extremely dangerous. "

"Why, because of a songs? He is a siren they sing" I reply.

"Oh that makes sense, he was always softly singing" Emmett laughs.

"But no it was the way everyone ran from him, you could see the terror in there eyes" he continues.

"Were you being intolerant?" I ask. In all fairness though alot of the creatures who lived here looked human like not all of them did.

"Are you kidding me?" Emmett says annoyed.

"Take that tone again with my wife and see what happens" Cain says through his teeth.

"Okay okay" Emmett raises his hands in surrender.

"No I wasn't" he answers. "One day i felt myself being poked, when I opened my eyes Rinus was it, was staring at me.

He said I kept mumbling Nova and wanted to know what it was.

I took out my wallet and showed him your picture, he stared at it for a long time. "

"I started talking about you and how I wanted to get back to you and so on.

Everyday I shared a new fact about you with him.

I knew, I would never see you again so the least I could do was keep your memory alive.

" he stares at me. "I mean its been 6 earth years, I've only been here like four-ish month" I reply.

"How long have you been here?" I ask. "Twelve years I think" he sighs.

"I'm sorry" I tell him. "Why?" he questions.

"I spent a long time hating you" I say softly.

"I would have done the same if the roles were reversed" he lets out a sad laugh.

"Continue the story" Cain interupts. "After some time Rinus took me to the surface.

It was so weird, not being underwater. We went to a town and he told me to wait for him to come back.

I did but he never did, instead someone claimed Rinus lost me in a game and I went to live with her.

"I'm sorry her?" that rubbed me the wrong way.

"Nova I didn't cheat on you" he responds.

"Well as far as you were concerned you were dead to me" I say bitterly.

He was dead to me, seeing him again was like talking to a ghost. "I'm not a ghost Nova, I'm real and I'm in front of you and your husband " he sighs.

Emmett seemed to always know what I was thinking.

"I can't believe you did all the things we were supposed to do.

Also you have known him for only four months and you are married and pregnant?

You refused to go on a date with me for four months" he says.

"What's your point?" I ask. "What does he have that I didn't?" he pouts.

"I'm not doing this with you Emmett" I rub my temples.

"Power, maturity, am a King, incredibly sexy as Nova likes to say" Cain answers him.

"I dont know why you felt the need to say the last part, she used to think I was incredibly sexy too" he rolls his eyes as Cain lets out a low growl.

Ares for this duration had been completely silent, which wasn't like him.

"Finish the damn story" Vato orders. "When the lady was bored of me which was recent, I got bought by that Lord something.

At the auction or whatever that lady in the hallway told me I needed to be bought by Lord Bain.

When I asked her why she said because she had a surprise for me.

I then saw her whisper something to someone and Lord Bain came to look at me.

He told me he was going to make his niece extremely happy with me as a gift. "

"This random lady said to go with him because she had a surprise for you and you just listened?

" I stare at him. "I mean, I did think it was weird but hey I'm glad I did I was reunited with the love of my life" he beams. Cain let out a loud growl and pulling me closer to him.

"Nova, I know you are happy otherwise you wouldn't have agreed to marry him, I'm happy for you really.

I just hope we can atleast be friends" he reaches out for my hand.

"I need time Emmett" I say getting up and walking out of the room.
