I turn and grab his shirt "What the fuck did you just say.

"So help me gawd Emmett if you lay a hand on my child I will kill you" I grab his shirt tighter.

"Tariq go guard my baby" I order him. I was refraining from saying her gender because I didn't need Emmett acquire more info.

"Yes my Queen" he rushes off. "Emmett was sneaky how did he escape last time in a land of unruly Vampires with no protection and how did he see my daughter?

"Give her to me" I demand. "Ugh Nova, your foot is still on my neck" Rinus wheezes.

I remove it and grab my baby, I inspect her and she smiles upon seeing me.

"Hi Mamas" I kiss her face. "Nova what's wrong?

We yelled surprise and you flipped Rinus and demanded Indi" Alara says.

"Emmett saw her, how the fuck is that possible?

"I snap. "That's not possible my love, the dungeon is secure especially after the castle was stormed.

"We have to cancel this party, Indi isn't safe" I reply.

"There is no way that is happening" Cain says.

"Give me Indi and enjoy your birthday party" he continues.

"Look it's a Karaoke party, Rinus wrote some song lyrics and made a new playlist for us to sing to" Alara squeals.

With Indi in Cain's arms I relax a little and sing Poker face with Alara.

Vato surprisingly had a really pretty singing voice.

There were finger foods and dancing. Cain had set Indi in her crib next to the presents because he said she is a gift.

Oh gawd not the start of Dad jokes. After they sang Happy Birthday to me and I blow out my candles I go check on Indi.

"No no no where is she" I pull out all the blankets.

Cain comes over as I clutch her blanket.

"Looking for this?" Emmett sits in the throne holding Indi.

"Unhand my daughter this instant" Cain bellows making her cry.

"Nova she is really cute" he soothes her.

"Emmett what the fuck did I tell you?" I hiss.

"Nova now you wouldn't kill me with your daughter in my hands, your tiny child in my big hands. "

"How did you get of of your cell?" Vato growls.

"I made a deal but that's all I can say".

"What do you want this time?" Cain snaps.

"Nova is coming with me". I had stopped paying attention and was filled with rage.

"My wife is not going anywhere" Cain snarls.

I thought the best course of action was to shoot him with an arrow but he might drop Indi.

The only way to get through to him was saying what he wanted to hear and if I said it just right Indi wouldn't be harmed.

"Emmett you were right about everything, this.

"Do you mean it?" he squints at me. I really hoped my eye wouldn't twitch.

"Yes let's leave this awful place and go back to our apartment" I hold my hand out to him.

I turn to Cain who looked very pissed off.

"I want to leave, to go back to Earth with Emmett, this life is just not for me.

I hope you can understand and find happiness.

I will however leave your daughter here" I say.

I could hear the hurt in her voice. "Emmett hand the child to Alara so we can leave" I whisper.

Emmett excited I have come to my senses gets up and gives Indi to Alara.

He takes my hand in his and stares at me with longing, then leans in and kisses me.

"I knew you would eventually come to your senses, pretty but poison always betrays the one she loves most".

Where the fuck did he hear that? "I missed you so much" I say and give him my let's get out of here so we go bang eyes.

Emmett instead of walking toward the door looks at Cain and mouths I won and kisses me passionately.

I grab a fist full of his hair and and bite his lip.

Taking the knife out from under my skirt I pull his head back and slit his throat.

Blood splatters on my face and sprays onto my outfit.

I stare at him watching the life leave his body.

"I told you not to fuck with me" I snap and let go.

Emmett's body collapses and lands with a loud thud.

I wipe the knife on his shirt and make sure he is dead, this motherfucker was like a roach everywhere and refused to die.

Standing up I walk and take Indi into my arms. "You are safe my angel and kiss her forehead.

"Mama will always protect you" I hugs her and she giggles.

I then go and sit on the throne. "Nova?" Alara whispers.

When I look up everyone was looking at me in shock.

"What?" I ask. When no one answers I whistle for Attor and have Tariq throw the body to him to incinerate. There was no way he would come back.

"You killed him..." Rinus says. "You...your ex lover is dead.

You slit his throat" Ares mumbles. "I warned him" I shrugged.

I sit back on the throne and no one moves.

"Okay out with it!" I order. "Are you okay?

" Vato questions. "Yes why?" I ask. "First kills are hard" Cain answers.

"She did what any mother would do" Eve says proudly.

"A kill changes you" Ares says. "I'm sorry are you all mad I killed someone who has escaped twice and put both Indi and I on danger?" Like what the fuck was this. "You shouldn't have had to do that, one of us should have" Rinus says softly.

"Indi would have been harmed if it wasn't me, end of discussion" I say firmly.

"Yes my Queen everyone except Alara says.

" He called you pretty but poison and he said he made a deal with someone.
