Story: His Lucky Blessing

M y relationship with Lucky was going so good that it made me nervous.

Every day I was looking for something to piss me off so I could just leave his ass alone.

If he said he was going to do something, he did.

Finding out the new information about Khi really fucked my head up and made me look at Lucky funny.

“You ready?” Lucky walked up behind and kissed my neck.

We had flown down to Miami just to enjoy a quick business meeting with him and his business partners. It was my way of getting away from my business for a little while. This was my first time being here and it was as beautiful as the pictures I seen.

“Do you think I have too much skin showing?” I ran my hands down my knitted dress.

“You’re beautiful baby. This is Miami, and no one wears clothes here. The dinner is on a yacht so this dress is perfect and it gives me all the access I need to get to that pretty ass pussy.”

Lucky planted kisses all over my neck as we waited for the driver to take us to the dock.

It wasn’t a far drive because Lucky’s vacation spot was on the water.

It took us about ten minutes to get there.

We were the first ones there so I grabbed a drink from the bar and took a seat so I could watch the sunset.

Lucky had already warned me that I would be the only woman but not to be afraid.

“Well look at this. How the hell did you manage to make it on the yacht with men? Let me find out that you really do have a thing for me,” the familiar voice said.

As soon as I heard his voice, I got uneasy.

I was spending so much time at Lucky’s house that I hadn’t been running into him.

I finished my drink and sat my glass down.

As Lucky’s woman, I didn’t get into his business just like I didn’t get into my baby daddy business but I was starting to think I should’ve asked more questions.

He approached and sat next to me. All this time I never knew this muthafucka’s name.

He was so obsessed with me that I had a feeling he knew mine.

“I noticed you hadn’t been home so I checked the mail for you.”

“You did what?”

“What? That’s what neighbors do in our neighborhood. I have something that’s important to you so when you want it, just come on over and I’ll give it to you,” he licked his lips as he stared at my breast.

I got up and walked off to look for Lucky. He was talking with another dude when I approached. I thought he would’ve stopped talking but he didn’t. Lucky grabbed me and threw his arm around me.

“This is my fiancé, Blessyn. Blessyn this is one of my partners, Dominique.”

“Nice to meet you,” I faintly smiled.

“Everything okay?”

“Yeah…I’m cool.”

“We about to leave the dock and dinner will be served at seven. I’m waiting on a few more people to arrive. You can chill with me or look around the boat.”

“I’ll chill with you.”

Dominique dapped him up and went on about his business.

“Did you introduce me as your fiancé? What's that about because I don’t have a ring.”

“Shit, I ain’t gotta problem dropping a bag on a ring. The ring coming but I gotta let these muthafuckas know who you belong to. All these niggas some dog ass niggas. I told them no women because it would’ve been a big ass orgy with them after the alcohol and weed start flowing.”

“Wow! These are the type of men you surround yourself with?”

“You ain’t gotta worry ‘bout me doing what they do.”

“Should I be worried?”

“I’m looking you dead in your eyes and telling you, no. Do I give off that vibe?”

“It’s hard to tell with men sometimes.”

“I’ll spend a lifetime showing and proving I’m not like all men, baby.”

I looked up at him as he pulled me in and placed a soft kiss on my lips.

You getting pregnant tonight. I’m warning you now that I busting that shit open all night. You know how I get once that cognac get it in me.”

“I’m ready but I don’t know about the baby part.”

“What you scared of?”

I was about to answer but the rest of his party started walking towards us.

He greeted them and we joined everyone. My neighbor’s face was red.

With him being the only white man on the boat he kind of stood out from everyone else.

I was hoping that now he seen me with Lucky, he would leave me alone.

“I appreciate y’all for making shit happen like I wanted it to.

I think I built the right team to change the city of Atlanta.

The apartment complex is complete and we’ll be doing a ribbon cutting next week.

Thank you, Will, for putting in a lot of work to get this done.

” Lucky raised his glass towards my neighbor.

Will …I made sure to remember his name. Lucky went on with his long ass speech but all Will kept doing was staring at me. I stared off into space until Lucky was done.

“Will, you got a fuckin’ staring problem or some shit? I’m not understanding why you not looking at me when I’m talkin’. Something over here you want?”

“Nah! No problem, Lucky.” Will released a nervous laugh.

“You sho? I can hear in your voice that you lying ‘bout some shit.”

“I’m going to excuse myself,” I told Lucky.

“No, don’t move. I saw his pussy ass talkin’ to you earlier. I even noticed how uneasy you were when you left from talkin’ to him.”

Lucky nodded his head and two dudes snatched Will from his chair and choked until he was put to sleep.

“Who is he to you? Have you slept with him? And be honest with me. I don’t want you lying to me too.”

“I’ve never been with him. He lives next door to me and he constantly tries to get with me but I haven’t slept with him. He started creeping me out but I don’t want anything to happen to him.”

“What mean creeping you out?”

“He would pop up at my house, leave notes and one time he was sitting on my porch waiting for me to get home. Tonight was my first time hearing what his name was. I don’t even know him.”

“Bet!” He nodded his head again and they dragged him away from us.

Who the hell was I dating? He kept on talking about future projects like he didn’t just have two niggas choke and drag Will’s ass to God knows where.

Nobody at this table was normal if they didn’t think that shit was crazy.

I’ve seen some crazy things in the hood but never anything this crazy.

Lucky grabbed my hand and caressed it. I’m assuming I was looking nervous.

I took a few breaths and drunk a few glasses of wine to get my mind off of what had just happened.

“What did you do with him?” I asked Lucky when we made it back to Lucky’s spot.

“Don’t worry ‘bout it. You won’t have to worry ‘bout him bothering you anymore.”

“He doesn’t deserve to die just because he was infatuated with me.”

“Do you think I’mma let a muthafucka live that is obsessed with you? Next thing I know, he done kidnapped you, raped you and dumped your fuckin’ body in the woods. Hell nah, I’m not chancing it.”

My stomach was weak just thinking about death. He was talking like it was normal for him.

“Who are you? Like seriously tell me who the hell you are.”

“I’m Lucky. Who else would I be?” He placed my feet in his lap and started caressing them.

“Why do you have them two men with you all the time. When we go eat, they outside waiting like they your bodyguards. Are you into something I need to fucking know about? I don’t want to be a part of anything drug related.”

“Is that what you think? I brought your ass to this trip and you’ve sat with my people to see what I do.”

“Don’t lie to me. When I ask a questions, I want the truth.”

He laughed before pulling me on his lap.

“I’m an ex-drug dealer. I built my empire off cocaine.

I don’t fuck with it no more. I’m damn near thirty years old and I wanna start a family.

I won’t lie and say that I don’t see it but I don’t touch it.

I’m still getting’ money from the drug game.

I have a lot of people that owe me. Trust me when I say danger will never come your way.

I’m clean and the two niggas you see me with are my shooters.

That’s just how clean I try to keep things. My past life wasn’t pretty.”

“Lucky, I don’t know. You should have told me all of this before we had sex the second time. It would have gave me the opportunity to see if this was something I wanted to pursue.”

“Look at me.” He lifted my chin. You never asked me anything about my life except kids and did I have a woman. I have nothing to hide. When I say nothing will happen to you, that’s what I mean.”
