Epilogue

Finding a truck that could fit everyone was a bit of a feat, and in the end, it had taken begging the use of one of the massive Humvees to get us back to the roadhouse.

Had it always been this crappy-looking? I saw the rusting paint, the plentiful cobwebs hanging from the awnings, the garish signs, and just felt a little sad.

“It’ll be OK,” Ethan said, pulling me in close.

Freed of whatever bullshit Branwen had stirred up, there was this whole other guy.

A sweet, cuddly, really fucking dirty one, who loved seeing all the ways we could please each other before throwing himself in headfirst. His hand snuck up my thigh right now.

“Maybe we should rent a room for the night?”

“Or maybe we’ll just keep making out in the damn truck,” Shaun grumbled, having nominated himself to be the driver. “And you’ll drive my mate wild, giving me a boner I could hammer nails with.”

“I’ll drive us home,” I said.

“Oh no,” Axel purred, sitting on the other side of me. “You’ll have your hands full all right, just not with a steering wheel. If we have to, we’ll pull over to the side of the road and you can throat your mate there, give him some relief.”

“A mercy blow job?” I asked with a smirk, all of us hearing the sound of Shaun’s groan.

“Yes…” Shade hissed, grinding his hand into his crotch. “That.” He turned around, looking at us with bright green eyes. “I need her.”

“Of course you do, mate,” Axel said, much more gently. “You’ve only just had your taste of heaven and you need more. We all do. We’ll work this out, together, I promise.”

“So let’s get this done,” Shaun said, pulling the car over. “Get your stuff, let Charles know you’re OK, and hope to the gods he hasn’t called the cops.”

“Sounds like a plan.”

I disengaged reluctantly from my mates, but I knew full well I would have more, so much more going forward.

More than I could possibly even manage. Ethan watched me mop my forehead, sweat prickling there, despite the blast of the car’s aircon, a sly smirk spreading.

We got out of the car, all of us, walking in through the sliding glass doors to see a new girl in the company uniform standing by the counter.

I snorted, the wheel feeling like it had turned a full circle, right up until the kitchen doors slammed open.

“Jesus, girl, where the hell have you been!” Charles exploded. “I’ve been blowing up your phone, searching the close circuit video. I thought you’d been kidnapped or something!” Then those warm brown eyes hardened as he looked over my shoulder. “And you!”

Charles had always been a big burly guy in my mind, but as I saw him shape up to my pack, stabbing his finger in Shaun’s face, he looked so small. The guys, they just stood there calmly, listening to his tirade.

“It’s OK,” I said, putting a hand on Charles’ arm, and I saw something I never expected to see—revulsion. He barely stopped himself from pulling his arm free, blinking when his mind and body fought to reconcile what he felt. “This is Shaun, and he’s my…”

“Fiance,” Shaun supplied as I fought to find an appropriate human word. “I love Bec with every breath in my body. We all do.”

“All…?”

“So…” I said, moving back from Charles. “What do you know about polyamory?”
