Not that he minded.
One evening on their day off, Gage came to pick her up and take her to his apartment for a movie night.
She was so excited to go over to his apartment finally and meet Raina.
So far they had only gone to restaurants or his grandmother’s house, so she had wanted to meet Raina.
She heard a knock and she got really excited, opening the door quickly and smiling as she opened the door to Gage.
“Hi there,” she said, holding the door open with her hand and leaning against it.
He had his dark hair uncombed and wild, with jeans and a dark purple shirt on with a leather jacket.
His green eyes shone brightly with appreciation when he saw her outfit.
She had put on a dark pink strapless top and a dark pair of jeans, paired with her favorite black stacked heels.
“Damn,” he cursed softly under his breath, taking two steps into her apartment and pressing his lips roughly to hers.
She giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck, returning the passionate kiss.
After a few minutes of pleasantness, she pulled away, her breath coming in harshly.
“We better go, or we aren’t going to make it to your apartment,” she whispered, pulling away when he said, “Raina won’t mind.”
“No, I want to meet her, come on babe,” she said, Gage letting out an exaggerated sigh.
He chuckled and kissed her once more and then they headed out, Elisa locking her door before they left.
They walked down the stairs together to his car, Gage unlocking it and heading to open the door for her.
“Thank you,” she said, kissing him softly on the cheek.
She got into the car and he shut the door, walking around to the other side of the car and getting in.
He started up the car and they left her apartments and headed to his, her excitement growing.
She knew that Raina was just a dog, but dogs had intuition that could tell if people were bad or not.
She hoped she passed Raina’s test.
They arrived at his apartment complex and he parked in front of his garage.
“You have a garage? Lucky,” she said, making him chuckle.
“Really? I didn’t even think about that.”
She nodded, and replied, “I have a few different closets that I put stuff in. I wish I had a garage.”
He stared at her for a moment before getting out of the car and heading around to the other side to open the door for her.
She hopped out of the car and grabbed his hand that he held out to her, Gage shutting the door and locking the car with his key fob.
They headed up the stairs and Elisa suddenly got nervous.
Gage stopped at the door and they could hear Raina whining softly inside the door.
“Ready? She is a little bit large, even though she is only a year old.”
