A few hours later, they lay in her bed; cuddling after a particularly slow lovemaking session.

This time it wasn’t the same passionate sex that they had yesterday and the day before.

This time it was slow and sensual, taking their time and exploring each other.

“Today was so crazy. I can’t believe that Eric did what he did. How dare he abuse his power like that.”

“Jealousy makes people do stupid things, like take things out on people at work when they should leave all that at home. I understand though.”

She looked at him curiously, wondering what he meant.

He sighed and sat up, looking down at her.

“I wanted to let you know that Erin came to my apartment last night and tried to get me back. I told her no and she went through my phone. No doubt copied your number to send you that photo.”

She looked up at the ceiling and then back at him.

“Do you have multiple Facebook pages? Or Instagram pages?”

He stared at her and shook his head.

“No. I only have one Facebook and I rarely ever get on it. I don’t even know what the other one is.”

“Okay.”

She smiled at him.

“Why?”

“Eric had multiple pages for our relationship and his other relationship. I don’t use social media very often, but I do have one of each of those pages. I posted pictures and everything on my pages and tagged him in all of them. Then he ended up having a whole other set of them. If I had done more digging I might have found them, but I wasn’t suspicious of anything.”

She sighed, running her hand through her hair, “I still can’t believe that I was so stupid.”

He leaned down and pressed a kiss to her forehead.

“Don’t worry. If it makes you feel any better, she did the same thing. She had a page that said she was single and that she was looking. I have no doubt she was cheating on him too.”

“Karma is a bitch,” she stated, trying to hold back her laughter.

A few giggles got through and he chuckled.

“Well, I am a firm believer that what goes around comes around. Now they are both unhappy because they want something they can’t have.”

“I think we got pretty lucky,” she said, reaching up and slipping her hand behind his neck and pulling him down to her.

“I have to agree.”

Chapter Eight

It had been two months since the incident with Eric at work, and both Elisa and Gage were ecstatic when the other James removed him from their shift.

He ended up getting off a little after noon instead of staying until eight when Elisa got off.

On their days off, Elisa and Gage spent the days at his grandmother’s house, spending that time talking about what they wanted to do with their lives and just having fun together.

They spent a little bit of time at work together when their breaks or lunches coincided, and also talked onMessageMe.

Even Erin had not bothered them in a while, cutting off all communication with Gage and even going so far as to remove him from her Facebook page.
