"Shut up, Danny," she growled, making him laugh even harder.
"Somebody thinks someone is cuuuute," he sang, Elisa hiding her face and looking away from him.
She looked back at him. "Do NOT say anything to him. Do you understand?"
He pursed his lips to keep himself from laughing more, and then giggled, "I won't."
She stared at him and he laughed again. "I won't, I promise!"
With a start, he looked up; his jaw dropping.
He pointed frantically behind her and she turned around, met with green eyed Gage himself.
Danny waved and slid his chair over to Melinda, hiding around the cubicle.
Elisa smiled, trying to get her blush not to cover her face.
“Hi there,” she said, pushing her hair back behind her ear.
He smiled and replied, “Hi there. I was coming over to make sure you were okay.”
“I am, thank you. I was just not paying attention is all. I should be asking how you are.”
She studied his face as she talked, his jaw strong and his cheekbones high, small dimples on his cheeks when he smiled.
His hair was brown, with a green streak on the side, making her wonder why he chose green instead of anything else.
“Why did you choose green?” she asked absentmindedly.
He laughed and touched his hair. “It was a dare. They got to choose the color. They liked green.”
They both laughed.
“What about you? Why did you choose purple?”
She pulled her hair forward over her shoulder. “I love purple.”
She motioned to her desk, showing him the purple decoration everywhere. She had put her schedule on her white board she had in purple, she had a purple mouse pad, she had a purple blanket on her chair, and she had a purple background on her computer.
“You definitely love purple. My favorite color is red, but they wouldn’t go for it.”
Her headset beeped, indicating a call had come in. She waved and he waved back, heading off to his desk.
Chapter Two
A few hours later, Elisa sighed in frustration and yanked off her headset.
She was having a problem figuring out why this customer's phone would not connect to their network even though she had done everything she could to get it to work.
She had placed the customer on hold so that she could look into this for them, so she cursed softly. She moved her mouse around the screen until she found the call center wide messaging system,MessageMe,and sent a message to Danny.
Help me! This customer cannot connect to the network and I have done all the basic steps.
She waited a few seconds, then was rewarded with a response.
Has the customer taken their sim card out and put it back in? Have you cancelled the connection and tried to reconnect her?
Elisa rolled her eyes at him, knowing he was most likely chuckling with glee.
