She could almost see Eric's face as he read the message.

Her laughter came unhindered when he texted back:Fuck you!

No thanks.

She waited for another reply and was almost disappointed when she didn't get one, really enjoying their hateful banter.

When her phone went off again she looked at it, a warm feeling filling her body when she saw it was from Gage.

She had added his number and replied to his text to let him know she had gotten it.

Good to know that you got it and got home safe.

She smiled.

She was about to reply when her phone went off again and she realized it was not from him.

She clicked back into her list of messages and felt her cheeks heat in anger.

She clicked on the message and read:That's okay, you were never that good of a lay anyways.

Smiling evilly, she replied,Takes a bad lay to know a bad lay.

She clicked send and then went back to Gage's message.

Thanks, I appreciate that.

She clicked send and sat down on the edge of the bed, staring intently at the phone.

When she realized what she was doing she threw her phone down on the bed, leaving the room and going into the small kitchen of her apartment.

She searched her fridge for something to eat, reminding herself that she needed to go grocery shopping.

She found some ice cream and grabbed it, shutting the freezer door and looking in her silverware drawer for a spoon.

Elisa looked towards her bedroom door and then shook her head, instead going outside her sliding door to her balcony.

She ungracefully plopped down in her big comfy chair she had on her balcony, looking out at the grassy area behind her apartment.

She lived nearby to downtown Round Rock, Texas, in apartments nearby to her work.

She hated them and really wished she could live in a house in a different area, but she was happy she could at least afford to live on her own.

She had gotten a good deal on her apartments and was only paying $850 a month. For a single girl it was a lot; but it was manageable.

Slowly making her way through the ice cream tub, her thoughts turned to her former relationship.

She and Eric would always come sit here at her apartment and talk about their lives, and what they wanted to do with them.

When she had heard he was going to be a manager she was so excited for him, but then he had dropped a bomb on her that she had been the other woman for their whole relationship!

He had been engaged the whole time they had been dating.

They had been friends on Facebook and everything, their relationship status asin a relationshipwith each other.

Elisa cursed herself, knowing she should have done more digging.

Well, it's too late now. You learned your lesson.
