Story: Pretty Poison
“Well, he's hot...”
I smiled, excited. “And…?”
She seemed to be careful about the next words that would leave her mouth, but she couldn't resist praising him: “And we had a unique chemistry. I enjoyed being with him.” The blonde admitted.
I clapped excitedly and held her hand. “Great, then let's go back to the table!”
We went back to where everyone was, but it seemed like the atmosphere was different. Some people were already dancing on the dance floor while our team still looked shy. Which was funny to see, because they never were.
Soloman was the first to get up from the table to head to the dance floor and pulled Logan — who was talking to Emily — and Zorah with him. Troian, Sidney and Emily followed.
I was already sitting down drinking my third martini. I just watched my friends having fun while Ivan talked to Jaz and my brother laughed at something Becker was saying.
Suddenly, Kendra stood up, grabbed Colleen's hand and started to pull her with her, but then she stopped next to me, leaning in to talk to me.
“Ask him to dance.” She declared quickly and then looked at the olives on the stick and took one, pulling the green fruit from there between his teeth. “I have a plan.”
A wink was the last thing she left me before heading to the dance floor.
I had no idea what the crazy woman would do, but I was willing to pay to see. I got up from my seat and walked over to Derek, grabbed his hand and pulled him with me onto the dance floor.
“Oh, come on, Roni…” He complained.
“Come on, let's dance. Pretend you feel sorry for your little sister and do it out of mercy.”
We got in the middle of the dance floor, where most of my friends were, and we danced there. Suddenly, I saw Kendra simply pulling my brother to dance and I completely found that attitude strange. They were dancing and talking, but I couldn't hear anything, the music was too loud. Colleen stared at me withconfusion for a moment before Derek smiled at Kendra and let go of her and held Colleen's hand, going to dance with her.
I found that whole scene strange.
But at least D and Colleen were talking and having fun together now.
“Hey!” Kendra stopped in front of me and held out her hand. “Shall we dance?”
“Wow, I think I'm hallucinating... You? Asking me to dance?”
“Call it a peace treaty.”
I laughed. “You are never peaceful, Kendra.”
She smiled, convinced. “I'm glad you know. Come, come!”
“God, how bossy!” I complained, but I held her hand and went to the middle of the floor while the beat ofTreat Me Like A Slutby Kim Petras played loudly through the speakers.
Our hands remained intertwined as our waists loosened more and more. Kendra's straight blonde hair bounced along and it all made the whole thing look amazing. She was beautiful in an absurd way.
Suddenly, she pulled me closer, pressing her body to mine. Then she let go of my hand and let her arms wrap around my neck, bringing her face even closer to mine. Her breasts brushed against mine and I regretted not wearing a bra at that moment.
I felt my nipples perk up and my body became pure electricity.
Soon her fingers pulled a strand of my hair back and then Kendra spoke with her mouth almost glued to my earlobe:
“We did it, Torres.”
And she pointed to Derek and Colleen making out heavily in one of the corners of the bar. My brother was leaning against the wall and had his legs stretched out in front of him, making him lower to make Colleen's life easier.
“Who would’ve thought, we're a good pair after all...” I mocked.
I took my eyes off the two of them and looked at Kendra, but she was too close. I felt my lips almost touch hers in the movement as she held her breath and I froze.
