Page 66 of Darling Psycho
Lawless rose to his feet and stopped Rider when it looked like he would speak. “Don’t throw out a warning to me, Prez, not about this.”
Rider exhaled, holding Lawless’ stare, and then he shook his head. “I already went through this shit with Hawk and my sister, didn’t expect to do it again with you.”
“And look how that turned out. Gia can’t keep her hands off the VP.” He taunted with a half-grin.
“Fuck off,” Rider scowled, and Lawless left snickering.
As if sensing what their conversation had been about, he caught sight of Angela at the other end of the hall, watching him approach, whittling her lip in a gesture she probably didn’t know appealed to the demon within.
Lick her.
Suck her.
Make her sore.
That was his inner narrative once he was towered over her, and it didn’t stop when she thrust out a takeout cup. “I brought you a coffee, but it’s probably cold now from the time it took you to primp.”
He smirked and brought it to his lips. Yeah, cold. He’d still drink it. “I was getting changed.”
Her brown eyes flared, and it was like a beacon to Lawless’ tainted blood because he could guess that whatever she was about to say would come with emotions he wanted to taste.
“Washing off biker chaser stench again?”
She was aiming for sassy; he saw that. Her chin tipped up, eyes flaring, daring him to deny it. But beneath that, she was vulnerable, unsure if he had been out fucking some random person.
Why did her reactive accusations make him hard as stone?
Making a noise in his throat, he leaned down and drew his nose across her cheek and put his mouth to Angela’s ear. Surging against how she sucked in a startled breath.
“You know what happened the last time you said that to me. You don’t have to instigate. Just ask me to eat your mouth.” When she went stiff as a board and then melted against him, clutching his waist as if her bones couldn’t hold her up, Lawless chuckled, still with his mouth to her ear. “But ask menicely, angel.”
He wanted to do more than eat it.
Fucking slurp her until there was nothing left.
Being a man who indulged in hedonistic appetites whenever they took his fancy, pumping the brakes was a new sensation for him. It had been building his libido like a volcano on the verge of eruption. And when Angela pressed her face into his arm, her breath audible to him because it was heavy and rapid, he slid a hand under her hair and squeezed her neck. “Monsters have teeth, angel. And they know how to snap better than a mouthy little girl can. I was killing a man, not fucking anyone.”
She was a living flame when she pulled back from him, but not far enough that she severed the connection between his hand and her neck.
Eyes wild.
Lips slack.
“You killed a man? Right now? Outside?”
“Not on the forecourt, but yes. He wouldn’t tell me what I wanted to know. And then he did.”
“And then you killed him?”
Lawless nodded.
Gauging her reaction.
Could she handle what he was at his core? A madman with desires and twitches that were better suited walking the hallways of Hell than on earth among the ordinary people.
Angela didn’t deliberate long. Then, whatever went on behind her eyelids, she lifted her face to his. “Let me see your hands.”
When she held them in hers, turning them this way and that, Lawless was confused and amused at the same time. He caught at her palm and wouldn’t let go. “Checking for blood?”
