His eyes were the deepest blue, surrounded by black lashes that should have looked too feminine on a man like him, but didn’t. Those eyes focused on her so acutely; she stopped breathing.
“What was it you said? You didn’t want to smell a biker chaser all over me?”
Pain lanced through her heart. “Fuck off, not even you are that cruel.” she laughed without humor.
Only, he wasn’t cruel.
He’d tirelessly hunted for her.
Killed for her.
And now she wanted to scream.
Angela wasn’t much of a drinker, but having him so near felt like a shot of the most expensive tequila. She was lightheaded, breathless, and when his hand tightened on her chin, she whimpered.
Never in a million years guessing at his following words.
“Taste my fucking mouth, check if a biker chaser is all over me.”
A pair of hard lips silenced her gasp.
Lawless forced her mouth open. It was a planned attack that came like a bolt of thunder from the heavens above. Striking her over and over with his tongue, when his hand curled the front of her throat, Angela nearly lost it.
Giving a token push against his chest, not sure if he was taunting her with her fears or something else, but Lawless tasting of another woman was the farthest thought she had.
She whimpered, moaned, and clung to his shirt to stop her knees from unlocking and collapsing her to the floor.
His kiss was nothing like she’d imagined it would be.
Oh, god. It was a bazillion times better.
Lawless was kissing her. Kissing her!
This wasn’t real life.
She was in a coma somewhere or dreaming the hardest dream of her life.
This couldn’t be real, not his tongue slowly stroking against hers or his hand caressing her fired pulse.
His tongue gentled and twined around hers.
Every snatched inhale felt supercharged. Heat luxuriated at the base of her spine, and what made sense only seconds ago now was upside down and foreign as she took the weight of Lawless’ more considerable body leaning into hers while his mouth ravaged.
Without her permission, her begging body softened, and she opened her mouth wider as his teeth scraped along the tender part of her lower lip.
All she tasted was him.
There was no relaxing. How could she? She was living a dream in technicolor.
Having Lawless’ mouth on hers was the first sign he was into her.
Or he was taunting by throwing her feelings in her face.
But knowing what she knew of him, especially this new revelation, she didn’t think Lawless would taunt her. And the flickering embers between them became a raging fire.
There was nothing else in the world, only this kiss.
The kiss she thought she’d never have and now his mouth was moving left and then right, with precise flicks of his tongue, sending her heart reeling. There was no point trying to keep up, she realized. All Angela could do was hold on and go along for the kiss of her life.
