Page 64 of Darling Psycho
Fuck’s sake, look at him now, eager to escape the carnage he’d exacted for the past few hours, to clean up and put his nasty eyes all over her lithe body, maybe order her to sit on his lap.
Possessiveness. Yeah, it was a thing. Who fucking knew?
Even after being a front-row witness to his brothers falling like stones into the ocean over their women, Lawless thought he was stronger than that. Immune to the call of his fucking skin to another human being.
What a shock to his system. He was the same as everyone else.
So much for individuality.
He was an enigma, but any ire evaporated when he put eyes on Angela sometime later, once he’d disposed of the body because, of course, he couldn’t let the guy go, no matter what empty promises he’d given. The guy would tattle to his Mexican boss, which would cause waves before Lawless was ready for the waves, and it would just be a big mess.
Psychos didn’t enjoy messes.
He liked things in their rightful place.
So yes, the guy had to go, and then he had to call in their cleaners to make the shed pristine once more for the next visitor.
He stepped into the club, and the air shifted around his long coat.
Wasp-like stings stabbed his skin, but he knew that to be what it was now. An attraction for a girl he should think too young for him.
Eh. He’d given it a token rouse of guilt, but it didn’t stick.
Not all men were created equal because, though Lawless knew, heshouldfeel a certain reluctance for putting his filthy gaze all over the girl he had a hand in raising for the latter half of her life. He just didn’t.
He wanted what he wanted, and denying himself never worked out well.
Obsessed? Sure.
Possessive? Entirely.
Angela was getting the raw end of this deal. He knew that.
Poor little badass should have run from him while she had the freedom to do it.
Now her beautiful face was shit out of luck because he had her in his nasty sights, and she wasn’t to know she stirred his cock.
Rider nodded him over before he could wander over and rudely interrupt her conversation with Gia. The man in charge was standing in the alcove to the main room, looking like he’d swallowed glass. When the prez strode down to his office at the end of the hallway, Lawless followed.
“Problems, Prez?”
“Besides you slicing and dicing in the shed while I have my family here, you mean?”
“Yes, besides that.” Lawless followed suit and sat his ass down in the chair opposite the scratched desk Rider sat behind. Spreading his legs out in front of him, hands latched across his belly. It wasn’t often Rider asked for a private gum flap; usually, it meant he had someone for the enforcer to sort out. But from the looks of Rider’s face, Lawless was in for a chastising. And he could only guess at what.
This should be fun.
“Wasn’t too long ago your old lady was in that shed damaging a set of balls, Prez. And not like I’m inviting your kids in for show and tell. The place is soundproof and nearly half a mile away.”
Rider’s jaw ticked.
The shed wasn’t the issue, just something for the prez to poke at him first.
“How am I only now hearing about you moving back into your cabin?”
“Don’t know. How are you only now hearing about me moving back into my cabin?”
Rider growled. “This isn’t a fuckin’ joke, Lawless. It’s been over a week. You’re living there with Angie.”
