Jasper laughed and moaned when Nicky spasmed around him. Hepushed a little deeper, and oh, he couldn’t hold back anymore. He shoved himselfall the way in, and Nicky’s legs jerked. Jasper fucked him gently, cupped Nicky’stight balls, and watched as a dribble of precome spurted from Nicky’s cock andonto his belly. He leaned down so he could kiss him.
“Harder now?” he whispered.
“God, yes,” Nicky cried out, and then he clung onto Jasper’sshoulders for the rest of the ride. It wasn’t hard to remember the angle Nickyliked best, and he was loud and amazing every time Jasper stroked his sweetspot. “Ah, Jazz, it was never like this.” He kissed Jasper’s cheeks, the bridgeof his nose, his eyelids. “Never like this with anyone else.”
Jasper hooked his arms under Nicky’s shoulders and used thelast of his strength to give Nicky everything he had. Nicky cried out to thenight and went completely rigid in Jasper’s arms. He hung on to that state ofecstasy for so long that Jasper thought he wouldn’t be able to keep going untilNicky went over the crest. His thighs burned, his back ached, and he was so outof breath the air hurt his lungs. Then Nicky gasped loudly, and his eyes flewopen as he came in thick, ropey pulses.
“Oh, Nicky.” Jasper buried himself deep and let go.
Eventually the sound of the waves on the beach brought Jasperback to himself.
“We should probably head back,” Nicky murmured. His heartwas still beating fast under Jasper’s palm, and Jasper didn’t want to move. “C’mon,Jazz. It’s cold. We’re caked in sand and come. I’m tired out of my mind. Andyou have Mass soon.”
“I don’t.”
“What?”
Nicky stroked Jasper’s hair, and Jasper smiled into Nicky’sneck. “I don’t have Mass because I’m not a priest anymore, effectiveimmediately.”
“What?” Nicky sat up and Jasper rolled onto his back, laughing softly. “Holy crap! That’s…that’s huge! Why didn’t you say something?”
“We were busy, in case you hadn’t noticed.”
“Don’t be such a smart ass. What does that mean? I know yousaid you were going to, but I thought you meant eventually. Not right now. Ohmy God. Holy fuck. What about Blue Oasis? Is that why you had to do it?” Nickygasped. “Did that asshole archbishop blackmail you out of the Church?”
Jasper drew Nicky down again and kissed him lightly. He wasbeyond wrecked too, and sticky in uncomfortable places, but he was here withNicky. It was utterly surreal. If this is a dream, I don’tever want to wake.
“No, not exactly. I mean, I think I could’ve fought for BlueOasis from within the Church if I really wanted to, but I don’t think I’mpriest material anymore, Nicky. I don’t think I ever was. And then there’s you.”
“Me?”
“Yeah. You.”
Nicky gave him a sappy smile and Jasper laughed. Hecarefully sat up too. “Okay, yes, ow. I think going home and showering wouldn’tbe a bad idea.”
The first fingers of dawn trailed the horizon. It’d still bea few hours before the sun rose, but the morning hung in the air like apromise, and they piled into the boat after Nicky wrestled himself back intohis clothes.
“For the record,” he grumbled. “I still hate fucking on thebeach as much as I used to.”
Jasper clutched his blanket tighter, nuzzled Nicky’s neck, and said, “Yeah, you always used to say that, and then you’d let me fuck you inthe sand anyway.”
“Baby.” Nicky turned and softly kissed Jasper’s mouth. “Iwill let you fuck me wherever and whenever you want.”
A hot punch of want made Jasper’s stomach contract. “I’lltake you up on that. I have a lot of time to make up.”
When they noticed that the Blumfeld house was still dark,Nicky aimed the boat toward the Hendricks’s pristine and unused dock.
“They probably haven’t done this in a while,” Nicky mumbledand Jasper snorted. Every once in an odd while as teenagers they’d beenspectacularly late and had faced both sets of parents waiting in one of thehouses. Given that he was naked aside from the blanket wrapped around him,Jasper felt rather like an awkward teenager.
“I feel like we’re about to be grounded again,” Jasper said, and Nicky gave him a sharp look.
“Don’t even joke about that.”
Jasper touched Nicky’s slightly greasy hair. “Don’t worry. Not even God could keep me away from you this time.”
Nicky averted his eyes, but Jasper caught the pleased littlesmile.
The lights shone in the Hendricks’ windows, and Nicky ledJasper in through the back door. It was a strange, holy atmosphere they walkedin on. Their parents had never been close, but now Adrian, Miriam, and Crystalsat together quietly in the Hendricks’ tidy living room drinking tea andcoffee, acting like maybe someone they loved had actually died.
