“I’m not,” I tell her, brushing her hair back from her face. “You’re just so innocent, and it doesn’t help you have people like Dr. Hartman feeding you lies.”

I lead her back into the bathroom and help her settle in the tub. I sink in behind her, kissing her bare shoulder as she leans back against me. “Relax and let me take care of you.”

“But is that how I’m supposed to feel as a wife? Perpetually unsatisfied?”

“Some wives might feel that way because their husbands only take what they want. That’s not who I am. Your pleasure is as important as mine. I’ve already told you; you’ll benefit from my experience.”

She lets me drag a warm, wet sponge across her back, and I can’t help but steal a few kisses before ultimately giving in to my own carnal desires.

“Turn around,” I whisper in her ear.

The water sloshes around us as she sits back on her knees and faces me. With my hands around her waist, I guide her toward me.

“Place your hands on my shoulders.” When she does, I slip mine between her legs. She gasps sharply, but I tell her, “I’ll be gentle. I promise.”

The fingers of one hand slip between her folds, brushing against her sensitive clit while I hold her steady. Her hands dig into my shoulders as her head falls back. Her cheeks are flushed, and her lips are swollen as she cries out, her moans echoing the bathroom.

“That’s it,” I encourage her, increasing the pressure and the pace of my touch. “Give in.”

“Zev,” she pants.

I keep my gaze firmly on her, relishing in the way she’s slowly coming undone just from my touch. It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Once again, I’m reminded of my luck. We were chosen for each other, and she will never know the touch or the kiss of another man. No one else will bring her pleasure like this.

When she cries out, I hold her steady as she rides the earth-shattering wave of her orgasm. It rocks through her body until she dissolves into the water. I reach out and gather her against me.

“Are you still feeling unsatisfied?” I dare to ask.

“No,” she says with a sigh. “Absolutely not.”

I chuckle as she settles against me, her head turning to place a kiss on my chest.

“There is something I want,” she tells me.

“What is it?”

“I want to go into the city.”

“No,” I say firmly. “Absolutely not.”

She pushes herself up and backs away, her hand smacking the surface of the water, splashing it across the bathroom. “That’s not fair! You can go into the city whenever you want. Why can’t I?”

“You want me to protect you? To keep you safe? I can’t do that if you’re wandering around the city.”

“Then come with me,” she pleads. “Please, Zev.”

“Why do you want to go into the city?”

“I want to shop for a few things.”

“There are plenty of stores here.”

“They don’t have what I want.” The flush in her cheeks returns. I’m starting to recognize she only blushes when she’s embarrassed.

“What is it you want?”

“I can’t tell you that!”

“Then you can’t go into the city.”
