She called out, "Xue Huai."

No sooner had her voice faded, Xue Huai promptly appeared before Feng Wuyou.

Feng Wuyou commanded, "You go and inform my elder brother, tell him, Mother has been found."

"I shall go now." After receiving the order, Xue Huai quickly left the palace.

Feng Wuyou picked up her teacup and took a couple of sips, then realized it had been several days since she last saw her third brother. She had no idea what he had been up to lately; he kept disappearing suddenly, failing to show up for agreed matters by the afternoon.

If she didn’t know that his kung fu was very good, she would worry whether he had been kidnapped because of his beauty.

In fact, Feng Wuyou was truly angry about what Ye Suhuan had done to Xiao Jinyan, but since the incident originated from her, and because Ye Suhuan was like an elder brother to her, having been injured twice trying to save her—nearly losing his life both times.

Perhaps out of guilt, she had made an unthinking promise in her childhood, agreeing to be his Crown Princess over a few pastries, leading him to harbor thoughts for so many years.

After her disappearance, Ye Suhuan even forsook his position as Crown Prince, only to search for her.

Lost in these thoughts, Feng Wuyou eventually leaned back in her chair and fell asleep.

Perhaps it was the memories of her childhood with Ye Suhuan that came to mind, but she dreamt that he climbed a tree to pick fruits for her and, due to the slippery bark, fell off and broke his leg.

At the age of five, she wanted to eat pastries from outside, and Ye Suhuan took her out of the palace without a second thought, only to be targeted by evildoers.

That time, Ye Suhuan was nearly beaten to death.

In a vague dream, she then saw Wu Tan, his face identical to that of Ye Suhuan’s, but their personalities were as different as could be.

She saw Wu Tan spitting out blood, those indifferent eyes staring unwaveringly at her...

"Little Nine, wake up."

Feng Wuyou heard someone calling her. She struggled to open her eyes and saw a familiar handsome face, with anxious phoenix eyes looking at her.

"Jinyan."

Xiao Jinyan asked with concern, "Why did you fall asleep, and you’re crying too?"

Upon hearing this, Feng Wuyou raised her hand to her face and found it streaked with tears. She had cried in her dream.

Seeing her not speaking, Xiao Jinyan grew more worried. Taking her hand, he asked again, "Did you have a nightmare?"

Feng Wuyou nodded, "I dreamt of things from our childhood, and also dreamt that Wu Tan died."

Xiao Jinyan paused at her words.

Feng Wuyou then continued, "I know that dreams are not real, I’m just puzzled about why I would dream of Wu Tan. Also, I’m not sure if he has returned to Daxia."

Xiao Jinyan wasn’t sure how to respond for a moment. Little Nine didn’t know that Ye Suhuan and Wu Tan were the same person, but he did.

However, he didn’t know how to tell Little Nine, and moreover, Ye Suhuan refused to acknowledge that he was Wu Tan.

Since arriving in Daxia, Ye Suhuan had an unpredictable presence, often disappearing, and his reasons unknown.

Normally, when she had nightmares, Xiao Jinyan would reassure her that the dreams weren’t real, but this time he said nothing.

"Your Highness, why aren’t you speaking?"

Xiao Jinyan comforted her, "You know dreams aren’t real, so don’t think too much about it. As for Wu Tan, he’s an adult, there’s no need to worry about him."

Feng Wuyou nodded, but the dream continued to unsettle her mind.

Seeing her still preoccupied with the nightmare, Xiao Jinyan glanced at the firmly shut door and asked, "How long has your mother-in-law been inside?"

Feng Wuyou calculated the time in her mind, "Quite a while now, she should be coming out soon."

Xiao Jinyan nodded, and decided to sit beside her and wait.

But this time, when the moment came, the tightly closed door showed no sign of opening.

Anxious, Feng Wuyou stood up, walked to the door, and peered through the slit, "Why hasn’t she come out yet?"

Xiao Jinyan took a few steps closer and stood by her side, reassuring her with a gentle voice, "Don’t worry, your father is so capable, certainly everything is alright."

With the comfort from Xiao Jinyan, Feng Wuyou felt much more at ease.

"That’s true, with my father being so capable, Mother will surely recover her memory. Then our family of four won’t have to be apart anymore."

Just then, the door opened from the inside, and upon seeing her father, Feng Wuyou’s voice trembled with excitement, "Father, has Mother recovered her memory?"

Without waiting for Jun Moqing to speak, Feng Wuyou pushed open the other side of the door and ran inside.

Seeing his daughter’s eagerness, Jun Moqing also turned and walked in.

Xiao Jinyan followed as well.

Inside the room, the incense was half burned.

Upon entering, Feng Wuyou immediately saw Feng Qingyan sitting on the bed. She remembered the last time her mother had regained her memory, lying on the bed, unresponsive, and it took a while before she could react.

She ran over with joy, "Mother, how do you feel?"
