Jun Moqing said, "She ran away, we’ll have to search again."

He indeed wanted to be behind her at all times, fearing that she might run away the moment he turned around.

However, having him constantly by her side would also make her unhappy.

But she liked to eat, so she probably wouldn’t run away.

Feng Wuyou stepped forward to hold onto Jun Moqing’s wrist, comforting him, "Dad, once mother regains her memory, she’ll remember you, and she won’t think of leaving anymore."

Jun Moqing naturally understood that without her memories, given Fengfeng’s nature, she would indeed always think about leaving.

Taotao looked up at Jun Moqing, her neck getting sore, "Grandpa, teach me kung fu."

Jun Moqing pulled back his thoughts and looked down at Taotao, "Alright."

Taotao, hearing that she could learn martial arts, excitedly pulled Jun Moqing toward the open space.

Feng Wuyou gazed at her father’s tall figure, thinking about last night when he had watched over mother all night, wondering if he had been outside the whole time?

Her father appeared calm and collected on the surface, but deep down he must have been very worried that mother would run away.

The sun was setting in the west.

Feng Qingyan came back from outside and saw a horse carriage parked at the inn’s entrance. She took a second glance and recognized by the lantern hanging on the carriage that it belonged to Jun Moqing.

Just then, the carriage curtain was lifted, revealing a handsome face, whose cold eyes were watching her.

She smiled, "You’re punctual."

Jun Moqing said, "Get on."

"...Alright." Feng Qingyan approached, nimbly climbed into the horse carriage, and upon pushing open the door, she saw Jun Moqing sitting inside. Despite having seen him a few times, she still felt he radiated light from all over.

The space inside the carriage was large enough to accommodate eight to ten people.

Feng Qingyan sat opposite Jun Moqing, and just as she had settled down, a cup of hot tea was brought before her. The hand holding the teacup was clean, without a speck of dust.

Jun Moqing said, "Have some tea to moisten your lips first."

Feng Qingyan touched her lips upon hearing this and realized they were somewhat dry. She reached out to take the teacup, "Thank you."

She sipped a few mouthfuls of the hot tea, and finding the temperature just right, allowed it to slide down her throat.

Then, Jun Moqing handed her a piece of pastry.

"If you’re hungry, this will tide you over."

Feng Qingyan looked up at Jun Moqing and noticed his seemingly standoffish demeanor, yet he was very meticulous. To say he wasn’t eloquent was true; while sometimes his words were blunt, they often reached right to people’s hearts.

Jun Moqing, seeing her staring without taking the pastry, asked, "What’s wrong?"

Feng Qingyan shook her head, took the pastry from his hand, and bit into it, discovering it was delicious.

"What’s the name of this pastry? It’s really tasty."

Jun Moqing replied, "Taosu."

"Taosu." Feng Qingyan took a bite and noticed something amiss, "Taosu, isn’t that the milk names of Taotao and Susu?"

Jun Moqing nodded, "Yes, Xiaojui named it."

"It’s nice, easy on the tongue and sounds pleasant too." Feng Qingyan took another bite of the Taosu, finding it crispy, with just the right level of sweetness, better than previous ones she had tasted.

Jun Moqing commented, "Xiaojui is very clever."

While eating the Taosu, Feng Qingyan looked up at Jun Moqing. Meeting his gaze, she paused before turning her eyes away and continued to eat.

Taotao and Susu had been waiting at the entrance of Hehuan Hall. Seeing the carriage, the two little ones immediately ran to greet it.

Upon descending from the carriage, Feng Qingyan saw Taotao and Susu running over, calling out in their milky voices, "Grandma, grandma."
