Xiao Jinyan said indifferently, "I’m not going back to Daxia for the time being."

At this, Xiao Jinyu was somewhat agitated, "Does Crown Prince elder brother want to wait until we have recaptured Xueyue Country and Fengqi Country before returning to Daxia together?"

Xiao Jinyan, however, said, "Nanzhao Country is now dominant and will not allow Daxia to recapture Xueyue Country and Fengqi Country."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Jinyu was startled for a moment but then quickly understood what his elder brother meant, "No wonder Xueyue Country and Fengqi Country are so rampant."

Shen Chuwei was already hungry and couldn’t wait to sit down at the table and take a bite of a Meat Bun, she reminded the two men in front of her, "The most important thing is to have breakfast, we can discuss this matter after breakfast as well."

Xiao Jinyu nodded in agreement, "Sister-in-law makes sense."

And sat down at the table with Xiao Jinyan.

Before them were Meat Buns, a bowl of steaming porridge, some beef, and a few small dishes.

Having eaten the breakfast prepared by Shen Chuwei and then trying the breakfast in the Military Camp made it a bit difficult to swallow.

Xiao Jinyan did not eat any Meat Buns, he picked up his porridge and drank a few sips, ate some beef, and found that the beef wasn’t as delicious as what Shen Chuwei cooked either~

Xiao Jinyu had grown tired of the food of the Military Camp, and after biting into a bun, he sighed, "After all, the Xiao Long Bao and Pan-fried Bun that sister-in-law makes are more delicious."

Shen Chuwei smiled and said, "I got up late today, otherwise I really planned to cook breakfast myself."

Hearing this, Xiao Jinyan glanced at Xiao Jinyu, his voice slightly cold, "She is the Crown Princess, not a cook."

"Crown Prince elder brother, I understand."

Xiao Jinyu knew that the Crown Prince elder brother was being protective of sister-in-law. He bit into a Meat Bun again and suddenly looked up at Shen Chuwei.

"Sister-in-law, why don’t you teach the chefs in the camp to cook, so that you don’t have to do it yourself?"

"That’s possible, teaching one or two chefs would suffice, but as for cooking in large pots, that’s impossible."

There were so many soldiers in the Camp, who needed so much food every day; it couldn’t be made so exquisite.

"I understand," said Xiao Jinyu, who just wanted to indulge his own appetite a bit.

After breakfast was finished, Shen Chuwei went to teach the chefs how to cook.

Xiao Jinyan was wrapped up by Xiao Jinyu talking about his recent experiences and also got to witness Xiao Jinyu’s Kung Fu in pestering people.

Actually, he didn’t dislike Xiao Jinyu, it was just that he was a bit silly and very clingy, so he was slightly repelled~

The cooks learned quickly; Shen Chuwei spent some time teaching them how to stir-fry, stew soup, and make snacks, until they learned.

These three cooks specially cooked for Xiao Jinyan, Xiao Jinyu, and several generals.

It took two hours to teach them how to cook, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

After having taught them, Shen Chuwei was walking back to the tent when she saw Wu Tan standing on an open space, looking up at something in the distance, not sure what he was watching.

But there he was, all by himself, appearing somewhat lonely.

The clothing he wore was no longer the blue monk robes, but rather a Kasaya; the little monk had become a little master.

However, the feeling that Wu Tan gave her was of being detached from worldly concerns, as if nothing could catch his eye, nor could anything disrupt his tranquility.

This was probably the highest state of ’emptiness’ that Buddhism often talks about.

Shen Chuwei felt a profound respect just thinking about it; food and lust are human nature, and she, a mortal, couldn’t reach Wu Tan’s realm.

"Wu Tan," she greeted and walked towards him.

Wu Tan turned slowly and, upon seeing Shen Chuwei, joined his palms and asked with a gentle smile, "Where is the Crown Princess going?"

Shen Chuwei raised her hand to block the sunlight above her head and asked with curiosity, "I was teaching the chefs how to cook. Why are you standing under the sun? Aren’t you hot?"

Wu Tan said, "It’s alright."

Shen Chuwei gave a thumbs up in admiration, "It seems the saying ’a calm heart keeps one cool’ applies best to you."

Wu Tan laughed softly, "The Crown Princess is just joking; this humble monk is merely contemplating something."

Shen Chuwei tilted her head, full of curiosity, "Contemplating something? Do you need to stand under the sun to figure it out?"

Wu Tan said, "My master says the more you think about something, the more you can get stuck on it. Contemplating something is probably about getting out of that rut."

Shen Chuwei said, "No wonder the state of high monks is not something ordinary people can achieve; it’s exactly these inscrutable mysteries that you are contemplating."

Wu Tan said, "It’s not as mysterious as you think."

Shen Chuwei praised generously, "Regardless, you are already very impressive."

Wu Tan softly said, "I am just an ordinary monk."

Shen Chuwei thought Wu Tan was being modest.

Xiao Jinyan had been pestered by Xiao Jinyu all day and finally got his silly brother tired enough to go rest, but realized Shen Chuwei had not yet returned, so he went out to look for her.

When he saw the two figures standing in the clearing, his eyes darkened,

So that’s why she hadn’t returned yet; she was chatting and laughing with that monk?

He walked over with a stern face.

"Shen Chuwei."

Shen Chuwei heard the voice, turned to look at Xiao Jinyan, and cheerfully stepped forward to greet him, "Your Highness."

Xiao Jinyan saw her forehead covered with fine beads of sweat and her rosy cheeks and asked, "Aren’t you hot?"

"A bit hot." How could she not be~

"Then let’s go back," said Xiao Jinyan, grabbing her hand and walking back.

Shen Chuwei turned back to give Wu Tan a smile, politely taking her leave.

Wu Tan stood there, watching Shen Chuwei’s figure disappear around the corner before withdrawing his gaze.

Back in the tent, Shen Chuwei picked up a teapot to pour herself a cup of tea to quench her thirst and noticed Xiao Jinyan’s complexion didn’t seem too good when she looked over.

"Your Highness, are you in a hurry to go to Nanzhao Country? We can leave anytime; I also want to go there and return quickly."

Xiao Jinyan also wanted to go to Nanzhao Country sooner to resolve his doubts; perhaps he might even remember something.

"Then let’s set out tomorrow."
