Dabai didn’t know where the Crown Princess was, but the Imperial Palace was very familiar to it, almost every day it would carry Susu on its back and roam around.

Not knowing where the Crown Princess was, Dabai carried Susu on its back and strolled leisurely through the Imperial Palace.

Even though Dabai and Susu often came out to roam, the Guards and little palace maids would still avoid them from afar, fearing that Dabai might suddenly lose control and go berserk.

Susu’s dark, glossy eyes looked around everywhere, but after searching for a while she still couldn’t spot her mama, and her tender, little face was full of urgency.

"Where has mama gone?"

Huai Xiang saw Dabai and Susu from a distance and reminded Lady Chang, "Master, isn’t that the county princess?"

Lady Chang followed the direction of Huai Xiang’s finger and saw Susu and the tiger. It had been a while since she last saw them, and the tiger had gotten a lot more robust.

And Susu, too, was getting cuter by the day.

When Lady Chang realized this, she felt an inexplicable irritation.

Xiao Jinyan had already been found a long time ago, but he still hadn’t returned, and she had no idea what he was doing outside.

She touched her own stomach, wondering when she would become pregnant; her and Xiao Jinyan’s child would definitely be smarter and cuter than Taotao and Susu.

Lady Chang watched Susu for a good while and saw the tiger hesitate; every time she thought about approaching, it was the white tiger that made her lose her nerve.

Seeing that Susu was about to leave, Lady Chang mustered her courage to step forward and greeted with a smile, "Susu, where are you off to?"

Despite her young age, Susu had a good memory, and recognizing Lady Chang from the times she had seen her at the Empress Dowager’s, she replied.

"I’m going to find my mama."

Looking for mama?

Lady Chang had heard about it from her aunt, it meant mother concubine.

Susu was going to look for Shen Chuwei.

Lady Chang continued to inquire, "Do you know where your mama is?"

Susu shook her head, "I don’t know, do you know where my mama is?"

Lady Chang glanced at the white tiger and saw its fierce gaze, which made her heart tremble with fear.

"If you get off it, I’ll tell you."

Susu looked down at Dabai and with her little chubby arms wrapped around Dabai’s neck, she cooed in a milky voice, "Dabai, lie down."

Dabai lifted its head and warily glanced at Lady Chang, hesitating for a moment before slowly bending its legs and lying down.

Once Dabai lay down, Susu hugged Dabai’s neck, kicked her little legs and deftly slid off its back.

After getting down, Susu took several steps towards Lady Chang, lifted her little face and asked, "Where is my mama?"

After Susu walked a few steps, Dabai followed closely behind her, also taking a few steps.

Seeing Dabai approach, Lady Chang instinctively retreated a few steps, she couldn’t help it, the white tiger was truly ferocious.

Looking at Susu, she pointed at Dabai and cajoled, "Tell it to back up a few steps, or else I won’t tell you."

Susu turned her puzzled gaze from Dabai back to Lady Chang. For the sake of knowing where her mama was, she turned around, approached Dabai, patted its huge head, and pointed towards a large tree not far away, "Dabai, wait for me over there."

Dabai lifted its great head and stared at Susu for a while, and eventually obediently stood up and walked towards the tree, looking back every three steps, seeming fierce like a beast yet behaving like a sulking little wife.

Lady Chang had always heard that the white tiger listened to Susu, but now seeing it obediently going to the tree, she could hardly believe her eyes.

Susu didn’t see Dabai’s aggrieved expression and hurried with her little short legs to Lady Chang, immediately asking, "Where is my mama?"

Lady Chang had become a lot bolder now; it was easier to deceive a child. With just a few words, she had sent Dabai away.

She squatted down in front of Susu and whispered, "Your mama is outside the palace, you won’t find her if you stay inside."

Susu tilted her head, her soft, delicate face full of confusion, "What is outside the palace?"

Lady Chang looked up and pointed towards the wall in front of them, "Just over there, if you climb over a few walls, you can get out."

Susu looked up following the direction of Lady Chang’s finger, but being a little over two years old, she couldn’t grasp the meaning behind Lady Chang’s words.

Seeing Susu tilting her head and staring at the wall, Lady Chang thought that even if the child understood, she wouldn’t know how to get out.

Her eyes shifted, and then she smiled and said, "If you find someone to take you out of the palace, you can go outside and look for your mama."

As if understanding, Susu immediately turned and ran towards Dabai.

Dabai was still feeling aggrieved, but when it saw Susu running over, it immediately went to greet her.
