Story: The Phantom Wolf
After dad and Jasper helped me find something to wear that was suitable, it was practically 4 O'clock, so I headed out to the garage to get my bike ready to leave.
Exiting the garage, I pulled my motorcycle round and parked it in front of the house, to wait for Bree.
Bree came out of the house a few minutes later, and by god, she was stunning. My heart raced as I gazed at her beauty. Taking in her appearance, I couldn't help but think that she was too good for me. I know we're soulmates, so we're meant to be perfect for each other... but still...
She seemed to become shy all of a sudden and looked away from me.
Did I do something wrong? Wait... I've been staring at her this whole time and I haven't said anything yet! Shit!
"You're beautiful." I stammered out, still in absolute awe that she was actually my imprint. I don't deserve her.
Bree quietly responded in a shy manner. "Thank you. You look really handsome right now."
"Thank you. Although all of the credit for that goes to dad and Jasper." I joked and let out a short laugh.
Bree started giggling. "I know what you mean. I definitely wouldn't have been able to pull this off without mum, Alice and Rosalie's help."
I nodded my head and offered her my hand. "Shall we get going then?" I asked, my excitement was definitely showing.
Bree nodded enthusiastically and took my hand. I helped her onto my bike, and she wrapped her arms around my waist. As soon as I knew she was secure, I took off out of the driveway at a high rate of speed, heading towards the city of Seattle.
Bree rested her chin on my shoulder as I drove. At the speeds I was going, I knew that the drive wouldn't take too long. So I settled in to enjoy the peace of the drive before we inevitably arrive at the bustling city of Seattle.
As we neared the city border, Bree spoke up from behind me. "So, are you going to tell me where we're going?"
I hummed, pretending to think about it for a moment. Then I teasingly replied, "Nah."
"Hmph." Bree made a sound of disapproval. Even though I couldn't see her face from my position, I just knew that she was pouting. Her reaction caused a small smirk to slip onto my face.
When we finally arrived at our destination, I parked my bike in the back of the car park, behind the building itself, and led Bree out to the front of the building. As soon as we rounded the corner, all of the displayed posters gave it away.
Seattle Theatre: Now showing The Lion King!
Bree gasped when she read the poster and stared at the building in awe, before spinning around to face me.
"Surprise." I said softly with a gentle smile on my face.
A massive grin spread across her face and she immediately pulled me into her arms, giving me a strong and rather crushing hug.
I reciprocated it, then pulled away to offer her my left hand. Bree took it without hesitation, and we walked into the theatre together with our fingers interlocked.
Dad helped me get two of the best seats in the house, so we had one of the best viewpoints to watch the show.
Throughout the whole performance I could see the childlike glee on Bree's face.
I swear she lit up the room with her smile, even more than the actual lighting for the stage did.
I knew Bree had never been to a theatre performance before, so I wanted her first one to be special.
Taking her to the showing of The Lion King for our first date seemed like the perfect idea.
Especially since she absolutely loves all of the Disney classics.
Once the performance finished, Bree cheered the loudest out of everyone.
That could have been because my ears will always pick her voice out of a crowd so I noticed her more, but regardless, she did cheer very loudly.
As we left the theatre I got to tell her that our date wasn't over yet.
She looked ecstatic and very excited by the prospect.
It was clear that she was having a good time thus far.
Hopefully she enjoys the remainder of the evening.
When she headed towards the parking lot towards where my bike was parked, I gently pulled her back to me. The confusion on her face made me explain myself. "We aren't taking the bike. You're taking the wolf."
Amusement glinted in her eyes as I mentioned the word 'wolf'. "I'll be riding you then?" She assumed correctly.
I let out a chuckle at her wording and it's connotations to anyone who had possibly heard her. Elaborating on my previous statement, I responded with. "Yes. We'll head into the forest so that I can shift without being seen, then you're catching a ride on my back."
Her grin soon turned to a look of worry, and she asked in a concerned voice, "What about your bike? We can't just leave it alone. Seattle isn't exactly the safest place ever."
She's so thoughtful. "It's alright." I quickly reassured her. "Jasper is already on his way to pick it up. I made sure to plan ahead for this."
Relief spread across her face, and we started our walk to the outskirts of the city.
The performance lasted a couple of hours, so it was getting dark out now.
It wasn't very late, but there wasn't much sunlight.
Bree tucked herself into my side as we walked.
I don't know whether this city is bringing up some memories for her, I hope not. But I guess its entirely possible.
"You okay?" I cautiously asked her, as she pressed herself further into my side.
Bree hummed quietly and gave me a slight nod, instead of answering me with words.
I moved my arm to rest on her shoulders, wrapping her in a protective embrace, before whispering in her ear, "No one's around. Do you want me to use my gift so that we can disappear?"
Bree's head turned towards me and she gave me a small smile and a gentle nod.
Quickly following her wishes, I turned both Bree and myself invisible, then I picked Bree up bridal style and sped off towards the tree line at the city outskirts.
Coming to a stop within the safety of the foliage, I placed Bree back onto her feet and deactivated my gift.
After making sure that she was okay, I walked into a bush to hide out of sight for a moment.
When I felt myself shift and was now stood on four paws instead of on two legs, I emerged from the bushes and leaned down to allow Bree to climb onto my back. Once she was comfortably situated, I took off running towards the Canada border, towards the Cascade Range.
With my new speed, it didn't take us very long to get there.
When i stopped moving near the base of a mountain, I felt Bree's confusion enter the imprint bond.
I lay on the ground to signal her to climb down.
Once she had dismounted from my back, I turned invisible to shift back and change into my previous clothes.
As soon as I reappeared in front of her, Bree asked me, "What are we doing out here?"
"You'll see." I cryptically responded. Then I picked her up bridal style once again, which caused her to let out a squeal in surprise as she hadn't been expecting it.
I couldn't help but let out an amused chuckle at her reaction, as I carefully held her in my arms and continued the journey.
She hit my shoulder in a playful manner as I ran, clearly telling me off for laughing at her.
But her reaction just made me chuckle even more until I was full on laughing.
This resulted in my imprint very much pouting at me as I carried her up the mountain.
Finally reaching the cave entrance I had been searching for, I slowly set Bree down and started leading her through the cave's tunnels. Me, Emmet and Rosalie and found this place a while back, I don't think humans have found out about it yet, as it is very nice and desolate.
Bree walked beside me as we traversed through the labyrinth, she was clearly curious about where we were going, and perhaps a little nervous as well. But I could also feel her building excitement through the imprint bond, so I was obviously doing something right.
Upon reaching the caves exit, we stepped outside into a hidden snow plato.
There were colourful crystals and gemstones scattered around the cave's entrance, and above us, shining down, was the northern lights.
The entire area glistened with an array of bright colours.
As far as I was concerned, this place was magical, and I wanted to share it with Bree.
"Wow. This is amazing. How did you find this place?" Bree asked, fully enamoured by the areas beauty.
"Before you said yes to go on a date with me, I wanted to find the perfect place to take you.
So whenever I went on an extra long hunt, I was actually exploring the surrounding areas.
I stumbled across this place when Emmet and Rosalie directed my attention to the Cascade Range.
" I revealed, feeling quite proud of myself.
Bree looked at me with literal hearts in her eyes. The bright lights only made her more beautiful. Taking a chance, I slowly leaned in and kissed her on the lips.
Initially, I thought that she would pull away, but she wrapped her arms around me and instead pulled me closer. I placed my hand on her face and deepened the kiss
We spent the rest of the night out in the secret plato together. Staying within each other's embrace.
It is officially official. I am in love with Bree Cullen.
