Page 126 of Corrupted Pleasure
“Get the fuck out,” Ivy rasped.
“I haven’t told him anything,” I assured them all quickly. “He caught me stealing that day at the Eastside. I didn’t want you all stressing about it. Then one thing led to another and I married him.”
Well, technically he forced me but no need to go into those details.
“You told him nothing?” Juliette stammered.
“I didn’t tell him that you found your birth certificates,” I quickly replied, hoping she’d hear the honesty in my voice. “Nor that we are robbing mobsters.” Though he was too smart and found out on his own. “I didn’t tell him it was all of us robbing him.”
I saidall of usbut luckily none of them picked up on it. So theoretically, I was honest.
“But you married him?” Juliette asked again. “I mean, I knew you thought he was hot. But do you really like him?”
“Yes, I do. A lot. We kind of had sex and-”
“Eeew,” Juliette cut me off. “He might not be my biological father, but we still don’t want details.” Then she took my hands into hers. “Holy shit, does that make you my step-mother and Wynter’s aunt?”
Her eyes shone mischievously.
I grinned. “Don’t even think about calling me Mom,” I warned her.
“Well, technically you can’t be my step-mom since he’s technically not my dad.” She said it too casually, but I knew her latest finding still bothered her.
“Oh my God,” Wynter mumbled. “I’m in such shock, I don’t know what to say.”
“That you’ll forgive me for not telling you right away?” I suggested, hopefully.
“I’m kind of upset you got married without us,” Ivy complained though her wide smile ruined her complaint.
“But we do everything else together,” I vowed to them. “Kids. Birthdays. Holidays. I should have told you. It was stupid. I haven’t told Grandpa either.”
“Oh, man. He’s gonna have your arse,” Juliette warned, uttering the wordarsepurposely just as Liam did. “He said he wants to be the grandpa at all our weddings.”
“Maybe we can have a small ceremony to appease him?” Wynter suggested, grinning. “Don’t get knocked up before we do.”
“God, I love you girls,” I beamed. “Who needs the Ashfords when I have such a wonderful family here?”
“Damn straight,” all three answered in unison.
“But we’ll have to meet your brothers,” Ivy said. “We need to keep our prospects open.”
A round of chuckles sounded in the car. Then giggles and cheers.
“Okay, let’s get back to the task at hand,” I said. “Otherwise, our heist will go down the toilet.”
Wynter reached for her phone and started scrolling through it, keeping her eyes on the road.
“Okay, this is the guy we’re robbing,” she announced, handing Ivy her phone since she reached for it. “They call him Priest.”
“Wow, I hope he’s not a real priest,” Ivy murmured, her eyes full of lust locked on the screen. “That body shouldn’t go to waste. I’d worship it like it was my temple. So fucking hot.”
Wynter and I scoffed. She’d find him hot for a day and then change her mind. Just mere minutes ago, she was salivating for the Billionaire Kings. She moved on quickly.
“Well, wait to worship that temple until after we’ve robbed him,” Wynter retorted dryly.
“And some months go by afterwards,” I added wryly. “So the dust settles.”
Ivy grumbled about abstinence. Why? I had no clue, because the girl was still a virgin.
