Page 100 of Corrupted Pleasure
Wynter flipped her off, her cheeks turning pink. Her sundress left her chest exposed and gave us all a view of the blush on it as well. Juliette and Ivy giggled, eager for the details.
As wrong as it was, I was glad they zeroed in on her rather than me. And the horrible friend I was, I didn’t attempt to rescue her. Because really, the details that happened between Juliette’s father and I were non-disclosable. X-rated and all that.
“Was he good?” Juliette asked grinning widely, the criminal activity temporarily forgotten. “I bet he fucked you six ways to Sunday.”
Her eyes lowered to the book in her lap and she bit her lip. Wynter’s fair skin turned crimson and her blonde curls couldn’t hide it. Whatever happened, there was one thing for sure. Wynter had a wild night, possibly two with her mysterious stranger.
“Do you want to hear about this place or not?” Wynter snapped. “Because it’s a really good one and we could probably get millions out of them.”
But Ivy was focused on getting the details out of Wynter’s sexual encounter.
“You’re not going to share?” Ivy asked disappointed.
“Fuck no,” Wynter retorted dryly.
I wasn’t surprised to hear her push back on Ivy. But it worried me. She was never the secretive type, and when it came to this guy, she kept it all in. I wasn’t much better, but I had more experience with boys than her. Wynter had kept it all platonic in her past, partially because she was too busy, but I thought she also didn’t want to take a chance at heartache.
“At least tell us whether he was good. Was his cock big? Did he split you in half?” Ivy complained.
“Ivy,” Wynter scolded.
“What?” She fluttered her eyes innocently. “I need details. How did it feel as he thrust into your-”
“Ivy!” Wynter exclaimed horrified.
“Did he eat your pussy?” Juliette asked curiously. “Fuck your ass? Did you suck him off? Tell ussomething, for Pete’s sake!”
“Both of you just shut up,” Wynter breathed out, her face flaming hot. I watched her mesmerized, her big green eyes glaring at us. I’ve seen Wynter run ten miles, speed skate, pumping her heart rate up, and she had never been this red.
“At least tell us who he is,” Juliette tried to reason with her. “Give us his name so if he upsets you, we know who to kill.”
Wynter sighed heavily.
“I can’t tell you details about it. If it gets back to Uncle Liam, I don’t want you in trouble. So it’s best if you don’t know.”
Alarm shot through me and the three of us stared at our best friend, momentarily dumbstruck.
“Are you in trouble?” Juliette asked, concern lacing her voice as her brows furrowed.
“We can help you, Wyn,” I offered. “Just tell us what we need to do.”
“I’m not in trouble.” It didn’t sound convincing. “It’s just-” Her voice trailed off and she looked out the window, lost in thought. “It’s just that Mom and Uncle wouldn’t approve.”
“Of the three-piece-suit?” Ivy asked. “They might. He seems rather charming.” Ivy’s eyes darted to all of us, encouraging us to chime in.
“Yeah, he definitely seems charming from afar,” Juliette added, though not sure if it was helpful.
Wynter let out another heavy sigh. “It won’t matter,” she muttered. “My mom will never approve.”
“She will,” Juliette argued. “I know she always demands all your attention be focused on ice skating but that’s not feasible. Your whole life has always been just ice skating. There should be a balance and she knows that. She freaking had you when she was your age!”
“You can still do both,” I chimed in. “You can ice skate and have a relationship.”
Wynter forced a smile on. “Yeah, I’m probably thinking too much into it,” she mumbled. “I just know how much she dislikes the East Coast and Uncle’s world full of criminal activities.” She pushed her hand through her curls and tried to ease the tension in her shoulders.
“Do you ever feel like you are missing parts of the story?” Juliette asked out of nowhere.
All of our eyes snapped to her and for several heartbeats, none of us moved or said a word.
