Eva was looking at the screen with interest as she was trying to remember the recipe.
Eva wanted something for munching, so she opened her side drawer and took out some chips from the hamper. Rose, who was observing her actions, thought maybe she stocked some packets for her midnight hunger
Eva offered chips to Rose, but she denied it politely.
“You know, I always wanted to thank you for this arrangement. It’s so thoughtful of you.”
“What arrangement precisely are you talking about? “ Rose asked her in confusion
Eva gave a warm smile at her. “You don’t have to pretend now. I knew you were the one who used to arrange these snacks in my room for my midnight hunger. Thank you so much for that. But tell me one thing: why do you lock my door? Maybe you want to assure my safety, right?. “
Rose was getting surprises in a row listening to Eva’s statements. But she composed herself and answered Eva, ‘Yes. For your safety."
Eva gave a nod at her and again got busy munching on chips, whereas Rose was smart enough to realize who must have done this. Now Stephen smith has to answer many questions
Chapter 26: Love or Obsession
That night Rose was involved in a serious discussion with William, whereas Willam was listening to his wife with interest
“Can you imagine Stephen used to lock her door at night and make sure about her midnight hunger by arranging the food hampers?"
"How are you sure, wife, that it was Stephen and not Steve?”
“Steve will never plan something like this. He doesn’t have this much courage or brain. I am still surprised that Stephen was hiding his feelings from me. And how could I never get a hint about his affection for Eva? “
William smirked. "So now you realize that day when I told you about them, but you denied it without giving a thought to this."
Rose took a deep breath as her husband was stating the fact. William again started the conversation.
“So tell me, what’s the plan now? Are you going to interrogate Stephen?"
Rose chuckled, “don’t you know how smart Stephen is and equally stubborn, but I know one way from which he could accept his love for Eva? “
“Really! Can you please enlighten me too? I mean, I will love to help you? ‘
Rose gave a warm smile to William and started, “Of course I will. Anyway, this plan will fail without your help.'
William gave a nod to his wife.
The next morning, after breakfast, William called Steve and Stephen into the study room.
Both the brothers entered the study room with puzzled expressions on their faces as they were still wondering about the reason for this sudden meeting.
When all of them got settled in their respective chairs.
