Steve gaped at her between his dinner and replied with a smirk, "I know, dear, that you will miss me but sorry to break your heart as I have to attend a friend’s birthday party. Now you have no other option left but to bear Stephen’s boring company.
Eva shook her head in his tease, and others chuckled but Stephen didn’tas somehow it hurt him about whatever happened in the washroom. Stephen had always assumed that their intimate moments were mutually enjoyable, but when Eva rejected him moments before, it left him feeling perplexed.
Eva noticed his stiff posture and sulking face at the dinner table, and she knew the reason behind it too. May she handle this matter more calmly? She wish to have a talk with Stephen and make him understand the reason behind her refusal
Once they finished their dinner, Eva and Stephen made their way to the bedroom. Stephen, after removing his shirt, settled on the side of the bed and took a moment to adjust the surrounding sheets. Alongside him, Eva found her place and caught sight of Stephen, who was sleeping with his back towards her.
Eva found his behavior too childish, as he was behaving like a stubborn man, showing his anger at her. She was hell tired of even dialogue with him, so she postponed the discussion for the next morning.
The next morning, when Eva woke up by the alarm sound, she couldn’t find Stephen in the bedroom. Eva inferred he must be busy with his gym session, and soon she entered the washroom to complete her morning routine.
When she netted the dining room, she found William, Rose, and Steve busy in some discussion on the breakfast table. Her eye was searching for Stephen, but he was not present in the running room Eva greeted the family members and got settled for her breakfast. Others notice her searching eyes and William replies to her unasked query.
“Stephen has already left for the office. He has some important meetings in the morning.” Eva got disappointed, but she gave a nod to William.
Rose informed her, “Eva, don’t forget about the party tonight. Try to return a little earlier."
Yeah, mom, “Eva replied with a smile and soon after departed from the house, bidding her goodbyes to the family members.
After reaching the office, she faced the other problem, as there was an issue which needed to be resolved immediately and for that, they arranged a meeting with the Hudson
Eva rubbed her temple in exhaustion, as today is certainly a terrible day for her. First, Stephen was angry with her and now she has to face her evil uncle named Liam Hudson. Soon, Eva made her way to the conference hall, where the meeting was supposed to take place. She expected that Liam, her evil uncle, would deliberately delay this meeting by arriving later.
When she reached near the conference room, Mr Miller informed her, “Madam, Liam Hudson is out of town, so Mr Harry Hudson is going to attend this meeting at his place. “
Eva exhales a breath, as this day couldn’t be better for her. Mr miller opened the room door for her and she entered the room while ordering Mr miller
“Tell Mr. Hudson to reach on time, as I will not waste my time just waiting for him.
But the moment she observed the surroundings , her next word got halted as
Harry Hudson was already settled in one of the respective seats; obviously, it was audible to him whatever Eva mentioned about him while entering the room.
Harry chuckled and told his manager, “didn’t you inform Mrs smith about my presence, as I also didn’t believe in wasting time?'
Before the manager could start, Eva replied, “No, I don’t have any idea about your presence, and it’s good for you if you are punctual in your work. Or Mr Miller, please start the meeting.“
“The dealer who used to manage the groceries and raw food supply for the Hudson group of hotels is not willing to extend the contract with us; initially he has few demands. Whereas the hotel management was complaining about the quality of groceries that he is providing nowadays. even many customers complained about the food quality. “
“What complaints are you talking about? “ harry inquired
""Sir, we have called some managers of some of our hotels to get details about the situation.”.
Soon, some people entered the conference hall. They first wished Eva and Harry and then detailed the long list of complaints against the dealer, Mr. Bryan, which includes poor quality of food supply, irregularities in supplies, and also how all these actions are affecting the taste of their hotel food.resulting in damage to business.
It shocked Eva to know this type of carelessness in the hotels. As a culinary student, she knew how these things could affect the taste of food, and the same thoughts were going through Harry’s mind too.
Eva took little time to reach her conclusion. “Mr. Miller, it will be better if we talk with the dealer first and if he doesn’t agree to improve his work, then it will be better to change the dealer."
“Madam, we knew that his presence would be required, which is why we specifically requested him to attend this meeting and he is currently waiting outside.”

. Soon a man who must be in his fifties joined the conference room. He wished Harry first and then Eva .
